I can't even begin to express how thankful I am for your brand reviews. I am in my mid-thirties and for the last 2-3 years my skin has done a complete 180. I went from a balanced skin to a dry, sensitive, and reactive skin with a horrible case of adult acne. I do have 3 thyroid conditions that are closely monitored but I went to my dermatologist for a yearly check up and asked her for advice on how to manage the situation. She prescribed me a topical medication (EpiDuo Forte) and it was the most painful 6 months of my life. My face flared up even more and it never calmed down, on top of which I become extremely dry and hypersensitive and developed patches of eczema (mainly on my eyelids and chin). I eventually decided to stop using the medication and try to handle it myself.
I went back to a more simplified routine (double cleanse, tone, oil/treatment, and moisturize). I went back to an alcohol free withchazel toner, use my rosehip oil as a treatment/extra moisture, and First Aid Beauty moisturizer. I have not been able to find a cleanser that won't over-dry me or leave a goopy feel afterwards. Recently I even tried the Drunk Elephant Beste Jelly cleanser and have, for the 3 weeks I have been using it, experienced a new cystic pimple every day.
It has been a long, expensive, and truly depressing process. I am hoping that your brand overviews (in conjunction with your cheat sheets) will help me recapture my skin's balance.

A million times, YES. I am shocked that it hasn't been duped by other brands because it's texture, finish, and effectiveness are second to none. I have tried so many mineral SPFs (rosacea) and this one is by far the best. And I'm a guy and anyone can use this.

I have never been happier to see an AD in UA-cam, only the Ad in Caroline's channel in this case. Can we have more brands please? I've tried couple sample from Murad before. My face doesn't hate them of course. However I never dare to buy anything from this brand because I know it's a professional brand and their products are serious. I want to know more before I get my hands on any of their products because I have high hope in Murad as well. This video is absolutely brilliant. I can now try their products with knowledge I need. Thank you Caroline.

avene and la roche posay is quite popular in Canada. my dermatologist recommended both of these brands. i personally use la roche posay for redness, particularly their rosaliac line, and i think it does a really good job with redness. my redness is not as severe as others but you should definitely give them a try.

Thank you Caroline for all the hard work you do so that people like me don't have to "think too hard" when it comes to what it's for as I've seem myself reading products over and over in the shops and then giving up and coming home with nothing. Think I definately need to get the Big Peach spray as I work in a care home so am hot sweaty and knackered and aged 52. Recently I have developed acne (at 52 what a smack in the face) around my bottom lip/chin area so will have to try Murad as Indeed although lovely isnt doing much for my skin. Thank you so much Caroline!!! oxox

Thank you for another great brand overview. Between this and the interview with Dr Murad it had me rushing off to Ulta to stock up. Alas the ingredients in many of the products prevented me from making a purchase. Too often the claims of products have me excited to buy, but the ingredients, most often fragrance, citrus, alcohol and fragrant oils will leave my rosacea skin in a mess. So I end up sticking with CeraVe. I would love to use some anti aging ingredients. Please please do a Rosacea focused video.

As a retired beauty therapist i have dibbed and dabbed in many lotions and potions on me and clients. Murad didn't work for me, which i was surprised about - but it obviously works for others. Bioscience and Ole Hendrickson transformation creme - i have had and seen results on me and clients as well as Karin Herzog. Murad is definitely one you should not, just buy, off of shelf, as you need educating, so that an educated informed choice is made and how to use - this video is helpful 😆

I have combo/acne prone skin. The Murad acne range - particularly the clarifying cleanser and the skin perfecting lotion - saved my skin in college when acne was at its worst. Now that I’m in my early 30s, the skin perfecting lotion is still my HG daytime moisturizer. Lightweight but nourishing. In the drier months I actually add a few drops of rice bran oil to make it richer. It is a little greasy that way but spf and makeup actually layer on great over it.

I am a 63 yr. old woman with normal skin /combo skin ( oil in T zone) and after seeing your recent Drunk Elephant video, I am thinking of buying the serum, 2 moisturizers, eye cream and bar cleansers. Am I crazy to use just one line or should I mix and match different product lines? I've never stuck to just one line before and thought maybe I should. What is your recommendation?

My absolute favourite Murad product is the oil-free SPF30 (in the gold tube) - it’s the best non greasy but hydrating sunscreen I’ve ever tried and I use it daily as my moisturiser. Too many oil-free sunscreens are full of alcohol or have mattifying formulas. Never see it mentioned by anyone in the industry but it’s perfect for oily but dehydrated skin!

Are there any Murad products that might recommend to fight pregnancy breakouts? I’ve become a Murad fan after discovering their facials in House of Fraser. I love pretty much all the products you mentioned but I always worry about overdoing it by using too many different ones. At night I use the Murad retinol serum but follow it with the clarins double serum after it has sunken in. Would that cancel each other’s effect out?
Also I wondered what your view is on murads day creams with spf? Are they good or would you rather use a regular moisturiser and follow it with a separate spf??
    Thanks so much! You’re a star! ⭐️ x

I don't know if you'll see this, but I have questions! Is it worth it to go to a dermatologist (I'm in the USA) to get an idea of what they'd recommend, to start getting my skin on the right track? Is it worth it to buy a line, such as murad, that sounds like it may work for me and then keep the steps I need and do away with the ones I don't? Love your channel, love the blog. Can't seem to possibly know everything you do, though. x

His whole life he has washed his face with a bar of imperial leather soap. He has terrible rosecea across his nose. What could he use to help. I was thinking a toner with the soap or buy a cleanser? The only reason it is either or is because I don’t think I could get him to do lots of steps. But perhaps changing one thing would be ok. I hope this makes sense. Thanks again.

I plan to purchase Rapid Collagen Infusion after I finish Exuviance Collagen Triple Boost Serum. Caroline, you mentioned the molecule size of the Murad...how does the Exuviance compare?

The world of skincare is so overwhelming that I end up using just a cleanser and a moisturizer! Caroline, it would be super helpful if you do a video explaining your skincare routine. I am 48 so I feel very close to you. Love your channel 😘

Hi Caroline, thanks for this video (my wallet is flipping you though) - quick question: in the light blue category, I use the clarifying toner which seems to be loaded with alcool yet my adult acne prone skin seems to love it. Whatever works right? But what's your take? Also, would you do a video on Neal's Yard products? thank you!

I’m not a fan of a lot of alcohol. But you have to go by your skin and results.

Hi Caroline. Excellent video as always. I keep coming back to this video as toying with purchasing invisiblur but due to price tag want to be sure. I currently use an ANR serum followed by Ren omega oil (I'm genuinely dry) in the morning - would invisiblur have the 'anti-aging ' (yuck) properties of ANR or do I still have to use a serum? From reviews it looks like it goes over moiturising step so not very 'serum-like' so I'm confused. Please help, thank you xx

I love you Caroline. Quick question you may or may not know the answer to. I used to use the orange vitamin c face wash when I was younger and was thinking of going back to it for a morning cleanse on holiday but I read it had microbeads that don’t dissolve and are bad for the environment? Is that true? Not trying to do Murad a disservice - just want to know if there is a way I can find out as it doesn’t say on the box. Thank you xxx

I’m pissed! I had AMAZING skin I was complemented by many. I had a hysterectomy (still have ovaries) but my skin is rapidly aging so all my amazing Korean supple-ness products are not cutting it! I was sitting here the last few weeks thinking I NEED to switch it up and take it up a notch with more “umph”! I’m ordering a kit tomorrow! Thank you so much. I heard that the percentage of woman going into menopause even if the ovaries left behind is pretty high. I have so many issues to tackle now!! I’m so mad at Kaiser knowing that I am in the skin care industry and they didn’t even give me a heads up!! 😔

Thank you Caroline! Question: I've tried a couple of Murad products that I received as deluxe size samples and my skin didn't like them because they were anti- acne products that had a ton of denatured alcohol in them. That is on my absolute NO GO list in my journey of learning about skincare. Do you think there is a time and a place for denatured alcohol in skin products? I will admit that I do regularly use a makeup setting spray that has alcohol in it, all of the ones that actually work to keep everything in place have alcohol in it but I figure it doesn't count because it's on top of loads and loads of layers of skincare and makeup. That's my excuse anyways. Love your videos and your blog and pretty much everything about you!
