    I remember seeing this in Memphis in 84 and I was gutted as I had spent all my money so couldn't get it.

    His duet with temple Riser on ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ is my favorite track.

    First pressings of the Dorsey Shows did indeed have the title printed in blue. It was later changed to yellow to make the words easier to read. There were some changes in the photos as well.

    As far as the inserts versus artwork printed directly on the cover... most bootlegs were done that way in the early years. They either had an insert sheet or the title was rubber stamped on a (usually) plain white jacket. To this day the inserts have a certain amount of charm and are highly collectible no matter the artists because a lot of them got damaged or lost.

    On Stage in the USA was actually an important release as it contained material from Elvis On Tour.

      I’ve never understood why there was never a soundtrack released until I read it was because many of the same songs from ‘Elvis On Tour’ also appeared his Madison Square Garden album. Few years back I bought the EOT soundtrack on cd eBay.

    The American Dream producers would have you believe that it was made in Egypt. Not even close.

    Behind Closed Doors was released by Paul Dowling and Sam Theaker. No one else helped. They also put out the Arizona Memorial Show from 1961, The Dorsey Shows, Rockin' With Elvis New Year's Eve 1976 among many others.

      Paul Dowling from Maryland, now lives in Florida ?
      He's an awesome dude and if it wasn't for him my collection would be so much smaller and he guided me on alot of the good stuff, and away with the bad.

    Audifon is a German bootleg. That's why it sounds so good. After RCA was sold it went to BMG which is a German Company. Then BMG merged with Sony hence Sony/ BMG.

    • @jkrein82
      @jkrein82  3 роки тому +1

      It was not made in Germany. They put that on there to hide where t it was really made I know the person who made it.

      Top 3 of all time worst bootlegs, Elvis or anyone else. Electronically produced duets are absolutely awful.

    Your video is one of the only sources I've found on the net talking about that Elvis duet bootleg album. "The Greatest Show on Earth" Eagle Records LSP 1832.
    I presume, as an early bootleg, the audio quality is garbage. But is it really a "duet" album? Is there an attempt to hodgepodge studio/live recordings with the Elvis versions, or is it just the standard Elvis recordings slapped together?
    If you get a chance to spin it, mind letting us know? :) If it is some sort of remix, that's very interesting - especially for 1979!

    Your copy of Superstar Outtakes is a counterfeit pressing made by Richard Minor. The real pressings had black and gold labels.

    • @jkrein82
      @jkrein82  3 роки тому

      I have said before there are counterfeits of bootlegs.

      @@jkrein82 it would be helpful when showing your bootlegs to inform the viewers whether it is a first pressing, second pressing, counterfeit, etc.
