      Douger Rohmer I was gonna say! It took me 4 and a half hours to run a marathon and I didn’t have to stop for 1st aid! It is amazing how fast those elite runners are. His injured run is still faster than my slow jog lol

    Why are all strange moments related to Mexico 1968?
    It's a huge coincidence to say the least.

      She said it, Mexico city is one of the highest in altitude. More altitude = less oxygen. I think it is like -25% less than in sea level for Mexico city.

      yeah found the use of words really weird. courage, determination and pushing your body to the limits even though you're absolutely toasted and clearly in pain is the pinnacle of what the Olympics are about.

    The irony is that ---> He came in last but did not finished last.
    His final ranking was 57th place out of 75 total participants for that race. He is the last among of 57 participants who completed the race AND....
    certainly not last in final ranking when....there's 18 more behind him that went into gutter. (bowling)

    Please make a Video about Sri Lankan Runner Ranatunge Karunananda who Didn't gave up ending the race in 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo even the race was finish long ago.

      It was probably just a description of Mexico City. Plus the high altitude wasnt as gruelling to the higher jumpers and sprinters as it was to the marathon runners.

      As a world class athlete , he was well aware of that. But had he stopped Midway we wouldve never heard about him, heck even if he won the race it wouldn't matter as much because what he did was truly inspirational .
