On paper without context, maybe. One Piece anime directs 1 chapter or 1/2 chapter per episode in order to prevent it from catching up to the manga. This results in scenes that are very stretched out, reaction shots and episode recaps. The pacing suffers. There are times when an action is supposed to be swift and unexpected, and the slow nature of the anime ruins that. Almost every episode has at maximum 5 minutes of actually new content the rest is just opening ending recap and filler scenes so they get 24 minutes. :)

@T-T well I kinda meant the entire series tbh. Also Naruto and sasuke suck ass in boruto. Don't get me wrong I fucking love them but honestly in boruto I fucking hate how weak they are. The writers are pieces of shit for disrespecting them to that level.
I disagree with the notion that FMA 2004 and Boruto have a high amount of filler. There's a difference between filler and anime canon, especially with FMA which basically had a completely different story.
The same could be said about Dragon Ball Super. The anime came before the manga, and the manga's story made quite a few changes. The manga and anime are really two separate versions of the story.
While technically Jojo doesn't have fillers, parts 3 and 4 have a lot of episodes that don't really contribute to the main story or character development, and thus could be skipped without missing out anything important.
I can only remember the recap Ep and the chef Ep which isn't filler because it was in the manga and if it wouldn't be included it would be very disrespectful to the source material and author.
Part 3 structure is enemy of the week, so of course you could skip episodes, but you are missing the whole point of the show. It's about the journey, and the joy that comes with it. It's not a complex-plot story oriented. Might as well just watch the first ep, the introduction of each crusader and them the battle against Dio, if we are talking to contributions to the main story, like you said. That is why I think skipping eps of part 3 is a bad take. The only criticism that the community have (myself included) is that the pacing is slower in some parts of the story. Part 3 manga is shorter than part 4, nevertheless has 48 eps, compared to 39 from part 4. Concerning part 4, probably the eps that you have in mind that can be skipped without missing anything important, are some eps of the first half of the show (before Kira's proper introduction), and again, you are missing the point, but in a different way. Those eps are VERY character driven. They show us how each character is unique, acts differently and have their own way to interact with themselves and Morioh. Imagine skipping those and just watching the introduction of Jotaro and Kira's half of the show, you wouldn't care for the cast, and wouldn't know them properly. That is why again, I think is bad take to skip eps of part 4. Just don't skip eps of a story that is intended to be experienced in it's entirety. JUST LIKE ANY OTHER ANIME THAT DOESN'T HAVE FILLERS, THOSE YOU CAN SKIP. Have a good day.
@@Kalil574 I forced myself to watch it all and still didn't care for the cast by the end, since most them were flatter than your first crush. Those episodes were such a uselessly horrible torture, especially after a concise rollercoaster of part 2, that it legit traumatized me, I ve seen a hundred popular titles and never rated anything so low.
The way you put things for me it's clear that you are treating your experience with JoJo parts 3 and 4 as a fact, and believe me, it's not. It's only YOUR experience, and nobody elses. Don't go saying that a lot of eps of these parts are skippable, as if it's an undeniable fact. As if you were guiding people about how to watch JoJo. You are not stating your opinion, you are treating it as the truth.
I know Code Lyoko isn’t an “Anime” (it’s French) but it still popped into my head when I tried to think of animated shows with absurd amounts of fillers, it’s like literally almost all filler. 😂
Just a reminder that what the anime fans dubbed as "filler" is not what actual filler is in a story. For example, calling 65% of 2003 FMA filler is ridiculous considering it is the continuation and conclusion of the story it was telling... In 2003 there was no further story to follow in the series, so the directors created their own.
Filler is basically anything not in the manga the show is adapting. That would make most of the FMA 2003 show filler. This still makes sense since it's filling space until the actual story was told in the Brotherhood adaptation.

On paper without context, maybe. One Piece anime directs 1 chapter or 1/2 chapter per episode in order to prevent it from catching up to the manga. This results in scenes that are very stretched out, reaction shots and episode recaps.

Chad Araki
Only Polnaref and Rohan felt like real protag characters, everyone else was just an NPC, including Josuke and Jotaro.
You are not stating your opinion, you are treating it as the truth.

idk why but when i started watching bleach i never knew when a filer was (unless it was obvious) but like the bount arc i had no clue was a filler

I would definitely recommend you to check out Inu Yasha. There are 167 episodes + 4 non cannon movies + 26 episodes followed by a currently ongoing sequel starring Inu yasha kids. I have only watched those 167 episodes and I loved it. U must check out too
@@Kapt_Klaw Definitely, nostalgically I am very attached to the anime (having seen it for the first time as a child), but despite having only read the manga last year I have no doubt which one I prefer.
Also consider that, in addition to the fillers, the anime (including the Oavs) have never adapted at least 40% of the manga
The most interesting part is that the anime has also modified many of the stories from the manga. Paradoxically this is good (at least for those who have first watched the anime and only later the manga) because it allows you to reread stories technically already seen in the anime but which actually have various differences.
Gintama having only 6% filler is a shock to me
A verry good video 👍🏻
Saint Seiya filler was the Asgard arc, and it was/is an amazing arc
the fact that one piece has 1000+ episodes but only 95 fillers is amazing(ik that the pacing probably isn't counted but it's still amazing)
Yeah...if we counted the pacing, we could probably fit an extra 50-100 episodes with how slow it goes.
@@scottbecker4367 probably more than that lol. The pacing is my biggest problem with the anime
after the time skip pacing is very slow , so out of 700 episodes , 95 fillers
The fact One Piece has over 1030 episodes and has less than 100 fillers is insane
It's written that trigun has 17 filler episodes and total of 26 episode 😅
I’ve seen Trigun dozens of times. The other episodes are there to expand on the world and understand more of how Vash fits in it. His definition of filler is very loose.
JJBA is pure action, why would a holy scripture have filler?
Needed this list back since 2016
actually, there are 1085 fillers of the pokemon anime as of the time this video was made.
they completely just didn’t do anything off of the manga
Beacuse its not meant to be?
That really isn't funny, brosif. That actually felt kinda sad.
I know in terms of episodes the filler is low in One Piece, but you gotta take into account that the first 5-6 minutes of most episodes is recap filler.
Actually JJBA has one filler episode that I know of. And it's a Steel Ball Run chapter where Gyro tells Johnny the days of the week in italian (that's where the Gyro sleeping meme came from)
Ahem uh part 7 is not animated so one it doesn’t count two part 7 is like part three in the fact that every chapter moves the characters ever so closer to there goal since it is a horse race
@@ANDORRA195 Oh well my bad I realized they're only counting anime only episodes
Props to Sailor Moon for actually making good filler
Also what does filler count in Pokemon? Most of it is already original content since it's not really based on any manga.
Fr though, Pokemon is a basically a slice of life with Pokemon battles every episode
i dont even know if pokemon have fillers...
@@DongbaekEGOSpicebush True, basically the entire anime is fillers
This video uploader is dont know what video it making about.
Anime canon isn't filler. Its 2022 and people are still stuck in 2017 🤦♂️ tons of statements by ikemoto, kishimoto and kodachi that confirm they are not filler. Most anime canon are adaptations from novels or supervised by kishimoto.
Bro anime Canon is filler, the definition of Canon is the adaptation of the Manga and boruto is a filler anime period, none of the crap isn't in the Manga and hasnt got any continuation, there's no path whatsoever its whatever filler they're pulling for the day. Btw dont even get me started in the urashiki arc, literally the worst filler arc I've ever seen. It's nothing but filler theres no story being told in those "Anime canon" episodes
@@MartimCorreia10 by your dumbass logic full metal's ending is filler, sarada becoming a chunnin is filler, ohnoki's death is filler, sarada getting her 2 tomoe is filler, boro facilities are filler and many more shit. Learn the difference between fillers and cannon episodes. Filler are not approved by the author and do not follow a story and don't support the manga in any way. Anime cannon eps are approved by the author, support the manga itself and follow a story of the manga💀
@@MartimCorreia10 No it isn’t 😂
@@MartimCorreia10 Anime canon actually contributes to the story. Fillers don't.
@@hollowsid9623 How do they write anime arcs for manga volumes that didn't exist yet? Mitsuki Arc was done a year before the Kawaki Arc started.
When You hear everyone talk down on one piece for having SOOOO MUCH FILLER when in reality percentage wise it has so much less filler then most
One piece: 95 fillers
Also one piece: 10% filler
Me waiting for number one to be detective connan knowing damn well that it is going to be the top one
you though there would be a sun in the jojo pic. BUT IT WAS ME, DIO
The filler ratio got my attention. It looks like 10-15% might be most ideal. Fillers can be a good way to give a character an extra dimension to their personality, something that can show up more easily while the big plot is taking a coffee break. Obviously, with one good way to make a filler comes a hundred bad ways to make a filler. Still, one done right can bring more immersion to the overall experience. (And more easily display Goku’s inability to do much else besides eat, train, and fight.)
No, the better is 0% of filler. Filler doesn't. Give characters any dimension because the filler is ignored by the mangaka. The only real dimension a character can get is in the real canon.
It isnt fair to put one piece as 10% because like 70% of the episodes themselves are just filler since they adapt 1 manga chapter per episode and stretch thing out insanely.
From what I know, Fairy Tail fillers are usually in between arcs, and are only 1-4 episodes long before the next arc begins.
Really loved the fillers in Naruto tho
i kinda love bleach filler. It brings out most of the characters potential that we could never get to see in canon storyline.
True
Ngl Bleach Fillers were the shit.
Aside from the Bount Arc, the filler arcs were damned entertaining especially the Regai Invasion and Zanpakuto Rebellion.
Plus the funny little episodes of them trying to interact normally is pretty sweet.
JJBA has no fillers but trust me
The characters daily life is still shown and how they improve
And never skip anything
Why?
*IT'S THE LAW*
Damn Jojo has no fillers, I might start watching it
Isn't Railgun the one with a lot of fillers? Not Index. The second arc of both S1 and S2 of Railgun doesn't exist in the manga (although the S1 was made canon). The only filler I know in Index was the first episode of S2, the rest existed in the novels
Even though bleach almost 50% fillers the filler arcs were 🔥🔥🔥
Some of them, but not all of them tbh with you
I feel this list would work better by %, considering high count of episodes will have higher number of fillers compared to short animes
There is a percent its on the left side
People bitch about One Piece filler when it’s got one of the lowest % of filler
Bruh, boruto is mostly anime canon(meaning it's actually relevant to the story) and it's canon. 243 Boruto ep , 58 manga canon, fillers 27 and 163 anime canon
Naruto shippuden has a 41% filler arc 500 episodes and 205 of them are filler.
What do you mean by novel adaptation? When did they started adapting novel for fillers?
@@prajwalpawar4019 my bad,I meant anime canon
You’re right but people who hate on boruto will always say otherwise.
