The full force wasn't applied because the glass panel moved when 50 cal hit it as some force was used to accelerate it. The glass should be stationary for full effect
Agreed, it us was mounted in a vehicle or structure, Also results would probably be different on a larger and not sample piece, integrity may have been compromised with can insert in the glass. Yet looks like it would only be a very temporal barrier after first hit, I forget a kit of my higher science from college.

i don't understand why they mount them so securely as this just makes them easier to penetrate. surely it is smarter just to mount them up into position with very little support behind them so the bullet just pushes the glass back instead of piercing through.
jhanks2012 if it could just be knocked down it would kind of defeat the purpose of the bullet proof glass. Most "criminals" only tote concealable small caliber hand guns. If you saw someone walk into a bank or convenience store with a .50 caliber BMG, I think the button would be pressed to call the police before he finished getting the gun out of the car.
Sandy Lloyd, Jr. depends if it's in an open carry state....BUT most street criminals simply don't have 10k to buy a .50 and those who own them more than likely defend them against theft VIGOROUSLY.
The .50 cal round didn't go through, partly because the bullet proof glass wasn't tied down, and a lot of the rounds energy was wasted in pushing glass backwards, instead of penetrating it. If you haven't already done so, you should make another video like this one, but with the glass tied down. Otherwise great video.
thats what i thought too, a lot of energy was lost moving that massive piece of glass , imagine the mass difference between those 2 pieces, even with the speed and energy from the bullet.. he should put that glass against some wall

Risqo HD I agree but the difference will be minimal, if you saw the slow motion you would see that the bullet explodes on impact. The fact is the bullet wont penetrate no matter what...
because of newton's 3rd law and momentum, the impact period of the bullet with the glass was longer, since the glass wasn't stable like on a vehicle or building. Thus the power and force of the impact was lower.
jhanks2012 Do you think they use little squares of bullet proof glass in real life? No it would be a window in a building or vehicle. Which is immovable... the bullet isn't going to send an armored vehicle flying. Make sense yet?
This may be old, but when you’re hitting folks with good information that could possibly safe someone’s life(or better chances of survival) then you’re never rambling. It’s knowledge, and should somebody choose to apply this correctly, it can possibly help them take better control of their life safety. 💯
Was thinking the same thing. Glass on vehicles and buildings are under much more pressure since they are locked in place. Would have caused more penetration for the 0.50 cal, but I don't think it would be enough to break it. Although, if someone standing/sitting behind the glass were to be hit by that glass block, would'nt they still die?
Ire Odetayo “common sense” is not common. It is simply an application of an individual’s experiences to other people in the expectation that most others instinctively know certain things that, depending on one’s cultural and educational background, would otherwise not be expected of them.
As he pointed out, it would've held up better if it hadn't been structurally compromised, even though that should be common sense. The anchoring, though, voids the test entirely.
The most testosterone filled intro ever. Only thing he was missing was a pickup truck jumping through explosions with jetplanes and American eagles flying by.
There was a major problem with this experiment. The bulletproof glass panel actually moved which allowed some of the bullet’s energy to be displaced through kinetics. You must make sure the glass does not move to ensure all of the bullet’s force is spreading throughout the bulletproof glass only!
No, it will. Do a proper test, with the glass properly secured. This shit goes through trees. It can handle bulletproof glass. And the amount of damage it causes means that even if it didn't go through (which it would), two shots even remotely near each other would destroy the glass

Great demonstration, I have two questions. Today in my city CDMX (Mexico) the vehicle of secretary of public security was shotted by hitmen, the secretary wasn't hurt because he travel in a armored vehicle, I don't know what level of armor had the van. In the news they said the assault was maked with a barret assault rifle. First question: can a armored van resist several shots of barret rifle? Second question: a very armored van, what is the maximum level of armor can be support?
Calibre is the bore width, expressed in terms of hundredths of an inch. If you can find a gun with a bore/round that is 1 inch in diameter then you'd have a "full calibre" gun.
In the 1990s, Seal Team 6 did a test to see if angled glass would deflect a round off target. They were testing for times when they would shoot terrorists barricaded in a jetliner cockpit. Can you duplicate that test?
bbigrocker1 SFOD-D did the test on airliner glass and the test revealed that the angle did not matter in terms of bullet deflection. The angle of the glass made a small difference in the path of the bullet, but not enough to miss a target standing within the confines of a cockpit. I originally said it was SEAL 6, but now I remember it's Delta. I believe the source is Eric Haney's book "Inside Delta Force". A good read.
Another idiot that thinks scratch resistance is the same as tensile strength. A diamond would shatter from a person merely stepping on it. Of course a 50 Cal will destroy it with ease!
i dont think so, he should tied that block somewhat... seems he doenst know in a realistic situation , theres no way to push a massive glass with a single bullet , like shooting in a bulletproof car glass
Adam Celadin sounds kind of dangerous. But i would like to see what a throwing knife ore axe does to tech. Throw it into a phone or something with awesome slowmo

Don 123 Yeah that’s what I was thinking. It’s easy to punch thru paper if someone’s holding it, but impossible otherwise.
The concept's right but it's Newton's second law of motion
But as the target was small, it didn't need to be stable as the impact coursed through the whole surface well enough.
#nerrrrrrrrrrrds
According to real situation of battle you don't get chance to shoot such guns from that close range
you have lost a huge penetration energy in moving or flying the glass panel after impact... this video tells nothing....

no, try the 12 Gauge from hell
JEX but you don't fire a .50 from a shotgun
Great demonstration, I have two questions. Today in my city CDMX (Mexico) the vehicle of secretary of public security was shotted by hitmen, the secretary wasn't hurt because he travel in a armored vehicle, I don't know what level of armor had the van.
In the news they said the assault was maked with a barret assault rifle.
First question: can a armored van resist several shots of barret rifle? Second question: a very armored van, what is the maximum level of armor can be support?
so if this is .50
is there a full caliber?
or is that not how bullets work?
Fryax thats not how bullets works..
Yup. .50 caliber means that the diameter of the bullet is 0.5 inch (12.7 mm).
you stuped
Dylan Cook dude, you can't even write a simple word
Calibre is the bore width, expressed in terms of hundredths of an inch. If you can find a gun with a bore/round that is 1 inch in diameter then you'd have a "full calibre" gun.
In the 1990s, Seal Team 6 did a test to see if angled glass would deflect a round off target. They were testing for times when they would shoot terrorists barricaded in a jetliner cockpit. Can you duplicate that test?
if he's a responsible gun owner no. Not outside of a huge ass range or an indoor one...
Demolition ranch did a similar test with an armor plate. YES, an angle makes a world of difference.
bbigrocker1 SFOD-D did the test on airliner glass and the test revealed that the angle did not matter in terms of bullet deflection. The angle of the glass made a small difference in the path of the bullet, but not enough to miss a target standing within the confines of a cockpit. I originally said it was SEAL 6, but now I remember it's Delta. I believe the source is Eric Haney's book "Inside Delta Force". A good read.
Feint Ah, aviation glass is not bullet resistant and offers far less resistance for penetration!
Can you shoot a 55 gallon steel drum full of flash powder with an incendiary round?
Thats thicc
Could never see a suv or such using that
Ryan Ceran presudent
Shoot a diamond they're indistryctibal (50 cal.)
The Nerf Man SOMEONE YGS THIS COMMENT
Ark Angel ikr xd
Another idiot that thinks scratch resistance is the same as tensile strength.
A diamond would shatter from a person merely stepping on it. Of course a 50 Cal will destroy it with ease!
"indistryctibal"?! You can't possibly expect to be taken serious.
This video was sick, its a shame that youtube its removing subscribers without they even know, unfortunatly they are missing a lot!
It's been happening A LOT lately... Killing me
Assaulter Wasn't he over 2 million subs at one point?
Will bullet proof glass stop a 50.cal?
Me: it’s bullet proof isn’t it? You answered your own question
Omar Valencia no there are different kinds of bullet proof glass
@@kevinyu3863 Let him to be happy with his immature crap jokes
Cosmic Electra don’t be mean
Might be different if its already mounted to tank (not really sure)
motor mouth out love it!
hahaha! That's me... just talking and rambling on
FullMag some times im called motor mouth too especially when it comes to weapon systems i.e. abrams tank,A10 thunderbolt 2
When you're busting with a Barrett, who in their right mind wouldn't get excited and ramble a little??
bbigrocker1 Right! lol
Yay he's from Milwaukee lol, same!
Floshmio 10 im just outside milwaukee
Same
Zach Temple same

This is the real professional training. Not the hydraulic press or glowing 1000 degree metal ball.
since when do the hydraulic press and glowing hot metal ball a training?
this comment as a whole is retarded
i dont think so, he should tied that block somewhat... seems he doenst know in a realistic situation , theres no way to push a massive glass with a single bullet , like shooting in a bulletproof car glass
You're definitely right😂😂
lol 😅
It's the Barrett that's so strong, a lot of recoil in bo2, but also very strong.
Come on Richard! You only shot it once!!!!. Bring out that API and raufoss!!!! Keep shooting this glass
The music after the coffee beans were shot is called KPM Music- Into the Fire.
Timothy Lau thank you
Dude what about the one before that.... Like for the intro.....
Google "Elephant Foot Bayou Plays the Blues" and a few sites have it.
Ugly Bob what about that guitar note at the beginning of the vedio???
@@thezyrex5692 think that was BLS
First video I’ve seen of yours. Great in straight to the point. Also, great camera and angles!👍🏽
When the 50 cal round hits the glass wow I did not expect that!
Can a 50 Cal break bullet proof glass
No
But it can break the table the glass is on top of
Nokia takes the dub no cap
U are not fooling anyone with that name...
@@karishard569 it's actually really good as the actual DanTDM has no spaces but when people type, normally they add spaces
Cool video FullMag, i would like to make Collabo with you! I am world champion Knife Thrower
Adam Celadin @Fullmag Would love to see this. Go for it Richard!
Jumper Harz Thank you Jumper Harz :)
Adam Celadin see if you can intersect a 50 cal bullet in flight??? That would be freaking hard to do but super juicy.
Sanus180 Maybe with axe would be somehow possible :D
Adam Celadin sounds kind of dangerous. But i would like to see what a throwing knife ore axe does to tech. Throw it into a phone or something with awesome slowmo
Fulmag: can bullet proof glass stop a 50 cal?
Thumbnail:
Me: wtf?
excellent video quality and composition
deserves at least 5M subs in few month
*next vedio =*
*you vs 50 Cal bullet agree like*
Video*
Getting shot why
You'd explode
Lol 😂😂😂
Ha ha very funny
the thumbnail kinda spoils the video
Will a 50 calm go through a riot shield? That would be nice to see :D
Spielefreak A riot shield is just a flexible piece of plastic, I would think even a .22lr would go right through it.
Then one out of metal :P
A Level 4 Ballistic Shield would be very heavy for officers, but would make a cool video. A .50 bmg vs pretty much anything is cool to me.
At 13,000+ ft-lbs of energy, even if a level iv shield stops it (which it doesn't), the person would be dead from blunt force trauma.
lol what? it's not a tank shell dude, at most it will injure your arm
Can't help but smile while watching this. 🙂
2:28 my brain when i get a test
So ture
why is there a hole in the middle of the glass
Likely because it was originally a display piece so it had a bore hole cut out in order for it to show off the layering and how clear it was.
when the 50. cal bullet hit the glass I giggled and laughed like a little kid
That slow mo + the cool rock music are great! Just like making a cool music video
"The reason we shot a compromised structure was that we only had one of those."
So.....he thought it was cool the way he caught the shell?
Kellron Taylor I guess.
Pretty much
It looked kinda gay tbh
