God Bless you gentlemen here! Single woman here, I know my way around a few things, but not these newer washsers. My brand new 2 year old washer just started doing this, so thanks to you I will know where to look and what to do. Ill try blowing it out first then move forward. Thanks so much for the info. Now to man handle these items in my washing room so I can gain access: my fridge, dryer must be moved to get washer out. Good lord..... I think I will rearrange how these go back in. Thanks again!
I wished, I'd found your channel about yer and half ago. Because a friend of mine called me with a Maytag, that had this same problem and like you too, I checked out everything else. And I never realized it was the pressure switch.
I have been a repairman for over 40 years I have had this happen twice so it is not something that happens all the time It is probably happens more with the VMW washer Thanks for the video. I am retired but still enjoy repair videos Joe from Idaho
@@HarperandKnowles I also am a retired washer and dryer guy, only had this happen once, and I enjoy watching your videos , it's much easier on the knee's than the real job
That sneaky booger!!! I keep a hex drive drill bit in my gear just for those. 3/32 or 1/8”, can’t recall. Fits into my little 1/4” ratchet/bit driver and makes quick work of that. I’ve only used 2 or 3 times in 8 years, though. 😂 Thank you for another great video!
What does the wiring diagram tell you? If you leave the pump, what is next in line? All the way back to the control board. The question what on that machine is telling the pump to turn on? I watched to the end, and it was the water level control switch. Mystery solved. Good job.
Some of these problems prove to be very challenging. Once you get one idea in your head it’s hard to convince yourself you’re wrong. I was convinced that a short was sending power to that pump. Thanks for watching!
I'm working on the same washer. It will fill with water agitate but no spin. I changed the lid switch. Now the water inlet solenoid stopped. Always something.
It may be a problem with the cold water valve. All rinses are done with cold water. If you do a wash on warm or hot it will wash but stop on the rinse cycle. Try testing your water valves using the diagnostic test mode. I have videos showing that. If the cold valve doesn’t open or is slow flowing it will stop and pump out on rinse cycle. Thanks for watching!
If this is the problem, shouldn’t it operate correctly with the hose removed from the control board? I pulled it off and it still does the same thing. Plug it in and it starts pumping and can’t get into diagnostic mode.
@@HarperandKnowles mr. Knowles, you don’t know how much I appreciated your help every time I call you. I’m gonna donate I just wish I could donate more. They only allowed me the option of $15 if you could tell me how to, but I sure will. God bless you, sir and thank you for being there for people like me
I had a Frigidaire Gally dishwasher beat on me. The answer was that the pressure switch failed, and the machine overflowed and dumped into the plastic base, which has a float switch. When that float rises, it makes the pump kick on. Turn the machine on, and the pump starts pumping. Vacuum out the water in the catch basin, and replace the pressure switch that tells when the machine is full. Problem solved.
