The 90's were the last decade of discernable subcultures, fashion, and music: Grunge, Goth, Dance/Techno; Rap and Hip hop. Now everything is mixed together. Nothing compared to peaking on a Cali-split while your favourite track came on - then you hit your dance rhythm and felt like a rock star in sync with the people, the music, the lasers..oh what a time.
When those synth chords drop at the beginning. Takes me back to ‘96 every time. I feel it. This track is immortal. I can’t believe it’s almost 25 years
Imagine being in a club back in '96, a few Red Mitsi pills deep, just racked a line of yellow goey in the toilet, you just bought a $3 pint of beer & a $5 pack of cigarettes; you light a cigarette inside the club then this track comes on
I remember this on my Party Hard compilation CD.. so many good songs on it! I remember they used this song in the TV commercial for it which was what lead to me spending my pocket money it.
I learned everything about DJing from Darren Briais back in the late 80's early 90'....wish I could get in touch with him again....miss him dearly! Top bloke!
It entered the charts on February 12th, 1996 and peaked at #16 in the ARIA Singles Chart and stayed in the Top 100 for 25 weeks. I currently have the pleasure of working with Darren at Discovery Nightclub in Darwin, Antoni, and I'll definitely pass on your message to him.
Rage use to be good to back then, I miss seeing that top fifty next to the rage logo at the start of a song and rage in general use to be cool show, I use to tape it at and watch all the alternative music before the top 50 as well, they use to know how to keep there viewers entertained with the intros and all that but now its just crap, they don't make effort, not even a top 50 anymore I gave on watching it because they stopped making effort and I got bored, they got abit slack since 2006...

this song is one of the best old school dance tracks out there, we use to pump it at all our house partys.

Such a 90’s Aussie classic 👌
This was my fave techno track for several years when I was 15.
How good is this music compared to the absolute crap that is on the radio these days I mean seriously!

@@oneofakind3042 Totally agree, i still look for dance clips that people used to tape off rage!
This song got me into all things dance/techno. I was in year 12!
This just popped into my head - and I'm glad it did.
My sister had the Video Hits 1996 Top 20 cassette and we used to smash this song 😊

One of the reasons I got into DJing was this track - still gives me great vibes whenever I hear it!

Memories of circling Northbridge with this blasting. Does anyone have a copy of the Metropolis Nightclub album that dropped in '97 or'98?

I think the Video is meant to be a little out, on purpose :)
Aussies, oldschool dance :)
Who won? I think DJ Peewee Ferris was winning, but DJ Darren had the home field advantage.
Video is slightly out of sync :(
