Looked like the chances of someone accidentally triggering armageddon had gone. Went on a Tall Ships Race in '92 and met people from all around the world, including former "Eastern Block" nations. What a party, what relief!! I guess we got complacent and dropped the ball, wanting to think everything would be OK now forever, forgetting that the garden needs constant tending.

He was the closest I ever came to meeting the right person but circumstances (especially geographical distance) prevented us taking the friendship further. His untimely passing broke my heart... ah the good ole days - I graduated from high school and started university the year this track came out. We use to jam to it all the time at crowbar nightclub across the street from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Will never forget how amazing music sounded in the 80s and 90s.

One of the best dance tunes of the 90's. Fuck that, one of the best dance tunes ever! Strange that it came out in the winter rather than the Summer, it's got a more sunny feel to it, especially with the title including the word 'Sunshine'. Still, I rate this song VERY highly. 16 years, time does fly, music was sooooooooooo much better back then!

Yup, Becky was (and probably still is) extremely talented and after a few sessions in the studio knew what was do-able and knew a lot of the kit. She is smart, and to put the record straight, her vocal range and clarity was pretty amazing. Very easy to get a take, in those days without Auto-Tune and pitch correction. We recorded to tape with no digital editing of 'takes'. It was as it came. The original we did failed to chart - it needed a little lift from a 'name', so New Atlantic got drafted in for a bit of a rework and bigger budget production. The original was still great, but they added more of a Moroder groove to the bass-line and so improved the dance appeal. Becky also wrote a lot of stuff (and I like to think I helped a bit) - so she was perfectly capable of coming up with totally original tunes: The use of a mashed cover (Elkie meets Electronica) was really a strategic move to try and break and get a hit, which, listening to this, paid off. I would have loved if the budget had been there to develop her career. I can only imagine what great tunes would have been released, with the help of a big label and name producer. I also wish I had some of the master tapes from back then :) To hear a tune that is so 'lightweight' but carries such a heavy load of the generational vibe is a thing of beauty. A much under rated classic of its time. Thanks Becky. Happy memories.

I am still listening to this trance number. It sounds very retro now. And this version sounds different from the maxi single and off the Worlds Best Dance Album Ever. I think people have bought or danced to this gem are so used to hearing everything that they don't realize a lot old songs are being revamped 2013 and beyond !!!!!!!,.....This is still a good classic to dance to.
