You're welcome!
Great info, thank you. Can't wait to see the future vids!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for this upcoming series! I am currently preparing for the test but my hangup has been the prerequisite aerial rescue training to be current within 1 year, and absolutely nothing is available in my area. Do you know if there is any kind of digital supplement to this training that would meet the requirements?
You can take certificate online......isa....you dint need to do a physical test ..for arborist certification..
@@Sethhaun78 thank you, I'll have to get that figured out. It was my understanding that it was requiring an in person training/certificate.
@@robhood let me know u got my message at 725 pm
The aerial rescue has to be performed. Your place of employment may be able to sign it of for you.
@@BinoH what if you are the employer???small buisness for example..like me...
Really cool. I'm looking forward to your upcoming videos
Thanks!
Thaaaaaanks ❤❤❤
You're welcome 😊
That’s Really Cool!
Thank you!
Thank you for the heads up Bino! I enjoyed watching the video you posted of a practice test with Noah. It sounds like some needed updates are here! I have one year of experience, and probably don’t qualify for the basic arborist test, but feel nearly ready for the climbing skills test. Do I need to be an ISA certified arborist to take the climbing skills test?
This is from the ISA climber packet.
Who Is Eligible to Apply for the ISA
Certified Tree Climber Exam?
The ISA Credentialing Council requires a candidate to have a
minimum of 18 months (1.5 years) of climbing experience in
arboriculture. Documentation of work experience is required
with submittal of your application. Letter(s) of reference from
your current or previous employer(s) is acceptable.
If you are self-employed or own your own company, you will
be required to submit three letters of reference with your
application. References may be in the form of copies of invoices,
contracts, and/or business licenses. The documentation provided
must include the climbing experience and outline the dates
of work required for eligibility. Please contact ISA for other
possible forms of verification.
You must also show proof of valid hands-on training in CPR and
first aid. Additionally, an exam candidate must include proof of
a physical (practice) Aerial Rescue training within the past year.
See the application section for acceptable verification options.
By submitting your application, you authorize ISA to contact the
practical experience reference(s) named on your application to
substantiate your eligibility.
Thanks for the heads up. I was just reviewing the testing criteria and found your video very helpful. I've been climbing, trimming and removing trees around power lines for several years and am certified through my employer but recently put in my notice and will be contract climbing from now on. Where can I find a climber rescue course, so as to meet the basic requirements for the test? My company never provided one. I'd like to get ISA certified to boost my credentials.
Glad it was helpful! On July 12, 2024 In Santa Rosa California Western Chapter ISA is having a Climbing Seminar and Aerial Rescue will be one of the sections and I believe you could get certified in it. Check it out. www.wcisa.net/
I passed the computer exam, it’s been 4 months trying to schedule a skill test, but there is not tests going on I try calling ISA multiple times they say a month a when it gets to the month they say it’s going to take more months 😓😓😓
Sorry to hear that hopefully you get scheduled soon.
As a sixty year old fart that hates hipp trusting thats good news.
Some of the new techniques do make it a lot easier to enter the tree.
If i would live in your country - i would try to do the test :)
It's international. It's possible that it might be near you.
Where a you located ? I want to take the test with you 🙌🏻🙌🏻
US in Southern California.
Can you give any advice on taking the written portion of the test?
Get the ISA Tree Climbers Guide 4th edition and study the heck out of it.
How can you apply for the test if you just climb and work on your own property?
I'm not sure but if you are self employed you are able to.
Thank you for sharing this information Bino 🫡🫡🫡🫡
