It’s the attention to detail for me. Methodical, precise, to the point yet incredibly informative. We need to share this guy up and get his count up there.
Hey I really appreciate that. I'd be lying if I said it was easy, but that, along with my actual job, is the reason I don't post more often. Seven months until I retire and do UA-cam full time!
Yes I agree... best step by step best procedural way to execute... i think our Subie bruh is a mechanic for real.... thank you. I think I'M gonna try it...I wish i new more of the torque spec on all the bolts..
Sounds amazing, I've said it before but this is one of the best car channels on UA-cam! Nobody produces more in-depth reviews and how-to videos. Thank you!
These are the bestsound clips I have ever heard on a STI. Both sound really good. I would go with either one. I owna stock 2020 STI. I'm never going to do any power mods to it. It will stay stock. Subies forever. 😊
Great video! Makes me want to go Stage 2 on my STI. I have been going back and forth between the Q300/R400 but after seeing this I would definitely go Q300.
Another thing to keep in mind with any OTS tune is they are one-size-fits all, and every engine runs slightly different. A pro tune is the way to go as it will be specific to your vehicle, or at least an e-tune - even if your not chasing numbers, it will be more reliable than an OTS if you ask for a conservative pro/e-tune. OTS tunes should really only be used to get your car to a tuner or as a starting point for an e-tune IMO.
The Sport mode may have been set as the most conservative mode intentionally (instead of the intelligent mode) because that is the mode the ECU forces when a CEL comes on.
Amazing video as always, been looking forward to this one since the downpipe install video. I've been looking at the same stg 2 setup for my 2019 STI (have q300 already on the car) and I think the volume should be perfect after watching this video once a downpipe is installed. Keep up the great work!
think we can get a 1 yr review on this stage 2?? I am currently looking into doing this since the whole emissions testing has thrown downpipes down the drain kinda.
Another great video and thank you for sharing your thoughts on this kit. I installed this package on my car at about a year ago and it has been a fun addition since day one of the install. I recently added a killer b EL header and it definitely woke the car up a lot more [feels more responsive]. I will probably be switching the intake to a cobb carbon intake down the road to decrease the risk of water ingestion in the PNW.
I have the same set up except Cobb SF intake and I got my STI Protuned. Edit: after hearing your last sound clips I can’t imagine how my car sounds with the AWE Track Edition Catback 😅
I’ve had this stage 2 on my car for a few months and my conclusion is to piece your own kit. Not a fan of the intake design prefer Grimmspeed or Cobbs intake. I think you’re better off waiting to upgrade the fuel system and getting a pro tune.
I have the stage 2 kit for my 16 sti with nameless axle back exhaust and I love it except I’ve been getting some fine knock nothing too crazy but any kind of knock scares me. Been on the car for about 4 months
@@Aa-ot9zf that's why we call the accessport the Anxietyport lol. As long as your DAM stays at 1.000, I wouldn't sweat the knock. If you see knock larger than -4.0 I wouldn't doing any WOT pulls. Most likely you got a bad tank of gas.
Great video, but I’d like to hear more about the power gains or different driving feel compared to stock. Bonus points if you can compare stage 1+ to stage 2.
I love your videos keep up the great work! I have a 2020 Wrx stage 1+ with map it’s great! I want to go stage 2 + with their tmic. Any ideas if it’s reliable? and are still running their tune? For how many miles? Thank you
That's awesome, I'm pretty happy for now as I plan a way forward. The stereo is the JVC KW-Z1000W It's an amazing head unit, but it better be for the price. It's not everyone's cup of tea because of the size, but it's definitely nice.
Wouldn't that MAPerformance package technically be a Stage 2+ since it is an intake AND a downpipe? From what I understand, the 2015+ STI Stage 2+ (intake and downpipe) does not exist, due to the fuel delivery limitations. Is that true? I get confused between these Stages for the STI specifically. I bought a used 2019 STI that had a Stage 2+ map. It had a COBB SF intake and an Invidia catted downpipe. I threw codes all the time. I am considering just putting back on an OEM downpipe and going to a Stage 1 tune. What do you suggest I would need to do to either do a Stage 2/2+ (if possible on an STI)? I think my only real options are to either go to Stage 1, or jump to Stage 3. I want to not push reliability issues, so I don't think I want to go to Stage 3. Thanks for any and all help!
Myself and a few friends run a e tune with stage 2+. Making around 300-315 WHP with injectors at 96-105% which is fine as the stock injectors can push to 130%. Once doing the pump and injectors (no rails, lines, fuel regulator). I was able to get 332 WHP with injectors at roughly 75%. Tbh you can run it without the fueling upgrades unless you want ethanol. However I also get p0420 code every few days and it’s not possible to tune it out with Cobb access port now. Either go ecutek, or u can find a dp with a gesi converter. I heard cobbs and grimspeeds versions don’t throw it but I have a plm.
Do you still have the OTS map download? I just bought the kit but they stopped giving out the OTS map and I dont have a tuner anywhere close for a custom tune
I have a question for you. I installed this last night. The vibrant gaskets that come with it. Where the downpipe meets the catback past the o2 sensor. There is a slight leak on the bottom. Very slight. Used the old and new gasket and it seemed to help. Tightened it down as hard as you possibly can. Are the gaskets from the kit junk ? Any help would be appreciated. 2020 sti with MAPerformance intake, dp, and AWE touring catback.
im planning to get a pro tune, can i run down pipe and an intake? currently have a cobb stage 2 on my car. ive read mix comments. some say you can run dp and intake others say no. edit: i have a 2015 STi
You should NOT run this combo without upgrading your fuel pump and injectors. Stock fuel system is basically maxed from factory and youre risking running into issues… good luck.

I'm really excited for the difference that this kit could make with my car. Loved this review man, a great job as always!

I appreciate that my friend! YW
Your videos are the most helpful on UA-cam right now
Great job showing all the steps. I'm about to take my 21 sti to stage 2 as well.
Thank you!!!

The Q300 is a perfect compromise, at least for me. I would not want it any louder.
Coming out with an intake video? Putting this all together this weekend! Thank you for these videos! Very educational

Looking to go stage 2 very soon, why did you choose MAP over let’s say Cobbs stage 2 kit. Loving the build and channel, keep going my guy!

Its been a year since you installed the map stage 2. How is it so far? Planning on getting one
At 12:20 sounds like you're having fuel cut problems. Should not have any popping sounds at wide open throttle.
Great video, but I’d like to hear more about the power gains or different driving feel compared to stock. Bonus points if you can compare stage 1+ to stage 2.
Nice
Well done sir
I have a question if pass the emissions test? Lmk I want to buy too😂
Detailed install video as always! What are your thoughts on putting a ELH at this point? Do you think you can do away without it long-term?
Im worried about the drone. How's this compared to grimspeed and ultimate racing?

No check engine light? According to Cobb and Bren Tuning any aftermarket downpipe on 2019+ will throw cel.
Everyone avoids this conversation. Is it embarrassment or what? I was told the same thing by the 3 most reputable tuners in my area.
@fordifly1368 noticed your comment is 3d old, I had the same question. Apperantly, according MAerformance website, this rev2 does not pop the cel
I have MAP stage 2 on my 2020 Sti too… Love it! Specially the intake sounds👍👍 what brand of stereo do you have? I like the big screen👌👌

Hp and tq numbers ?
Are you getting some fine and feedback knocks on this set up?
Do you have stock injectors?
You didn’t need to upgrade any fueling?
What do you think of this route of mod. Cobb sf intake, cobb turbo inlet, and accessport.
Hp and tq numbers ?
didnt hear intake cobb intake sounds best
Is the intake install video not uploaded yet? Not seeing it.
No, it's my next release, probably Wednesday or Thursday
Understand man, my intake is in the garage waiting for them to release the Stage 1+ for 2021 Sti. They are still in beta testing the map.
Any update on the air intake install? Is there a video for that part?
Sorry, I hope to have it done by Sunday. Been busy with work.

Curious if you’ve done any 0-60 or whatever times when stock compared to where your at now?
I haven't, that's not a metric I'm really interested in TBH Maybe for the sake of YT at some point I'll record some.
Do you still have the OTS map download? I just bought the kit but they stopped giving out the OTS map and I dont have a tuner anywhere close for a custom tune
They are Vin locked I have them sent for another guy and couldn't install them in my Sti.
What is it estimated to make intake + downpipe and tune
Just google lol
Hey do you guys now why this stage 2 doesn’t apply for 2021 STI???

edit:
i have a 2015 STi
they sound like muffler delete than mufflers
Id personally shell out a few hundred dollars more and get a E-tune
We 1/4 mile times!!!

the company that makes kit answerd all this yes u can run it u dont need to upgrade
@@Notorious1000RRstill not worth it. Generic map.
Stages lol. Pro tune always better. Ditch that crap stock turbo and get equal headers.
Subarus should go out of business. They're junk. One if the worst motor designers in all of cars history.
How so?
