Report: The Pennsylvania Turnpike Is The World's Most Expensive Toll Road

- If you want to drive the entire Pennsylvania Turnpike, the toll isn't going to be cheap. In fact, it's the most expensive in the entire world, according to a report by Budget Direct.
Since the Pennsylvania Turnpike has been in existence for a very LONG time it should have been paid off with the tolls collected and the tolls removed. Some politicians must be lining their pockets with the tolls.
I recently looked online to see the price from Bensalem, PA to Willowgrove, PA. EZpass price is $1.80 one way, for those who don't have EZpass and use the corrupt tag picture system the price is $4.40 one way (even though it cost less for the tag system than the cost of the toll collector that was laid off). I've chosen to take Rt. 73 to Rt. 611, I'd rather sit at lights and burn fuel than give $8.80 to these corrupt scum to drive out of my way to go one exit on a road that costs me of over $0.55 per mile to drive on.
I also used to take I276 daily from Bensalem to Rt.309 and Bensalem on I276 to pick up I476 to Rt. 80 most weekends, NEVER AGAIN!!!!
Narrow lanes, constant "construction", high speed gridlock, dangerous, and still full of potholes. Horrible road.
Yup, it's a criminal operation like the jersey Tpk, and all the port Authority operations between N.J. and N.Y. horrible un drivable, and criminal fees that never stop increasing, the money just fades away, roads never improve. Germany has pristine fantastic roads..no tolls.

This "report" just proves that nobody should listen to the corporate lying media. Cost per mile for the PA Turnpike is in the middle of the pack. The total dollar amount to travel is only so high because it is the longest one by more than a hundred miles. And no discussion about why the tolls are as high as they are (thank you, General Assembly).
Forcing most people to take route 80. Except for us who live in southern part and use it once or twice a year. Won't even get into the price of gas. Shameful. All in the name of progress yea ok
OPEC and Russia cut oil production after the negative price of oil in April of 2020; Now that demand has returned, they are keeping the cuts in place and thus continuing the rise in oil/gasolene prices. Progress on alternatives not controlled by foreign cartels sounds pretty good right now.
Shutting pipelines doesn't help either
@@innocentbystander6901 No already-opened pipelines were shut down, either. Stopping the construction of *new* pipelines does not reduce current capacity in the slightest.
Don't matter just like obumma you'll be paying 4 dollars a gallon soon enough
I'll sit at lights and in traffic before I spend over $0.55 per mile extra to drive on a road that is out of my way and run by the very people that destroyed the income of toll collectors.
I got ez pass through pa turnpike bought 2 transponders and according to their site it gives me the amount with I should pay with ez pass. Well that’s not the case I have been getting charges 1.40 over on certain trips . If I am correct that’s false advertising and when I call in I get a song and dance. If I pay your asked fees don’t gouge.
The Pa Tpk is a horrible road...craters and horrible no maintenance, it's criminal. That scam toll by license plates, is another racket. Germany has pristine fantastic roads, no tolls. And they have drivers that know how to drive, and not un reasonable low speed limits, which in the U.S are based on revenue, nothing about anything else.
Come on Pennsylvania, (America), we need highspeed bullet train technology. The Pennsylvania turnpike got rid of the toll booth causing them to loose money. Instead of going back to what worked, they wanna put it all on you.
