It's crazy to me that GT, a game series, can get car manufacturers to design new concept cars for the sole purpose of being able to drive/race them in the game. And now, Porsche even built the damn thing. GT has a crazy amount of influence in the whole automotive industry for a game.
And that's the thing about when people start arguing about which racing game is best or what exactly is sim vs arcade or any other form of stick waggling when it comes to this virtual racing we all love. Gran Turismo is the only racing game that exists outside of racing games (aside from Mario Kart of course). Lewis Hamilton isn't wearing an Assetto Corsa hat; Porsche didn't make a real life car for iRacing; Ain't nobody slapping the Forza logos on their cars. Gran Turismo has transcended the genre and even the medium unto which it is created for. Love it or hate it, it demands respect for what that series alone has achieved.

One thing I dearly hopes is that his tight bond with drivetribe could possibly lead to him and some other up-and-coming car guys to continue what Clarkson, May and Hammond are doing at Amazon. The OGs aren’t getting any younger, unfortunately. I think Jimmy is the perfect lead man for the changing of the guard. Perhaps paired with someone like Steve Alvarez Brown aka Albon

Holy shit this game is pretty, coming out of the first hairpin onto the straight at the very start the shadow moving over the race suit and seeing the individual fibers of the race suit catching the light in different ways as it passes is insane.
Ray-tracing, the way of photons simulated, notice the inner reflection on the windscreen, even has refractions, PS5 gfx is like having a Nvidia RTX 2070 Super card in a PC, which is atm twice more expensive than a PS5...
And then you go on Twitter and half the Gran Turismo tag right now is just angry Forza fans talking about how they have more terafarts per megashit or something...
I really wish they made a car that has a "simulator mode" where the suspension etc starts doing some simulation along with a VR helmet ;) Might be a bit hard to pass safety regulations i give you that.
thats how VGTs work, they are the embodiment of the manufacturer's heritage and you'll see that a lot in all the VGT concepts made (except some but again)

A "shitty" Opel Ampera E can pretty much dome everything up until most Golf GTI's because of the electrical motors giving PERMANENT Torque, soooo.. Just wondering, how much torque does this thing make?
You could lose the music. It makes me feel like I’m watching an infomercial for a smoothie maker. As for the car’s noise, perhaps you could have suggested to Porsche that they put playing cards on the alloy wheel spokes and then affix a stick to the wheel arch? Like kids do with their bikes to simulate motorcycle engine noise? If I know Germans the way I think I do, they’d love that.
Hey man was wondering if you could share what wheel setting you ended up with? I run auto and in game 6ffb and 1 sensitivity. It feels a little slow when counter steering like when I spin out the wheel feels as if it’s not fast enough.
I emailed porsche asking if they had a copy of the blueprints for the tiger 2, weirdly they didn't think I was funny, but I wanted to make a 1:10 model of it...they didn't believe me :(
