Great interview Hannibal! I was born in 78, it's so funny, as a kid I used to think Hogan and Warrior were amazing wrestlers, now I look back at those matches and it is so obvious it was guys like DiBiase and Ric Rude that had the ring skill to make those matches look decent. Not to mention how much better they were on the mic as well.
Right!! I was born the same year and the Warrior was my favorite back then. So true who the real pros were!! The Warrior sure was entertaining though entering the ring!!
@@Rob78169All the golden era wrestlers were great. It was football team mentality they were all one big football team playing for eachother no matter if you were bad guy, good guy, worker, heal or babyface. Ted still got the most “evil” laugh in show biz. 🏈😄😄😄🎉🎉🎉
Another great interview, Hannibal. Ted is a GOAT. That SME when Andre beat Hogan (with the two Dave Hebners) is one of the greatest angles in the history of professional wrestling.
Fantastic voice. In his promos, I'm not even sure what he was saying, but it always sounded awesome. He and Neidhart had the best spinning powerslams.
Ted handled the virgil questions and subject with class, but you can tell he really doesn't want to have anything to do with him. Virgil is a known hustler and has tried to profit from their relationship over the yrs without Ted even knowing about it.
Bro, he uses a church to rob the mentally feeble. He just can't be attached to more crime
Virgil trained Ted and broke him in the business. Virgil also scoop slammed Andre before anyone else did. He also invented garlic bread sticks 😋
@@DaviWalt he also graduated from West Point at the top of his class.
Virgil has a huge fucking weiner.
Virgil has booked himself & Ted as a pair at conventions without Ted ever knowing
Ted was perfection in the ring, there was no one that executed moves as smoothly or gracefully. His body slams were absolutely effortless
You speak the truth as usual brother, I loved it when after a match he would feed some porky, pot bellied jobber a Benjamin sandwich! 💵😁👍
@@lenwennerberg1631 LOL!! Frankie Valdez and Frankie DeFalco comes to mind, their blubber would be sloshing as they hit the canvas after a perfectly executed power slam via Air Dibiase.
I've missed you brother, seems the old meeting ground (Wrestling Reaper) is closed until further notice.
Edit: it was a wonder to me that buggy whip arm Ted could sling those chubby piggies as he so adeptly did. He really knew how to use their obesity against them. There were early Herc matches back in 85 (when he was mini Brody) that Herc used only muscle and no leverage and he failed a bunch of times, he botched lifts using Mario Mancini when Ted woulda adroitly flung the portly Mario like yeast dough
@@zombiefulci3301 Ho ho ho, right back at cha brother! Don't fret, The Wrestling Reaper will return eventually! 😁👍👌
I too miss seeing Ted fling that sweaty, pasty-white moustached Mancini up in the air like a chef in a North End Italian eatery heaving pizza dough ten feet high. Mancini was about as menacing as Grimace from Mickie D's, same goes with watching the Million Dollar Man land four or five fist drops on that fat slob Jake Milliman and then watching him flap around on the canvas like a Bluegill Sunfish fresh out of water. By the time the Million Dollar Dream was slapped on it was as if Ted was wriggling around a Bloomingdales mannequin.
Let's face it, back in the late 80's Vince probably wiped his ass with 100 dollar bills and I'll just bet he gave Bruno the ol' playful nudge to the gut everytime Ted would stuff yet another grungy, gruby, grimy C-Note in the mouth of a hapless jobber!
As a youngster, I absolutely HATED this man. I was such a mark, and I bought into the "face/heel" ideas from my childhood. I've gained a new appreciation for guys like DiBiase, Piper, and Honky Tonk Man for their lives as human targets for our entertainment.
That’s b/c it felt real back then. You felt the struggle for the good guy to overcome the odds the heels put in front of them. DiBiase had The Rat Pack to go through before JYD or Mr. Wrestling ll could get to him and have a shot at the NA title. It was great back then.
What an idiot !
Just the opposite with me. I loved the bad guys from the time I was a child. They always seemed to have the most fun. 🎃🎃🎃
Gonna watch all of this.
Thanks for getting Ted on.
Hope all's well with you, Devon.
God bless, brother
This is awesome. Great memories from my childhood watching Ted DiBiase wrestle. Fantastic interview Hannibal, as usual!
👍
I remember seeing him wrestle when I was a kid. Thank you and keep
Up the great work
Ok, that was a great shoot! One of my favorites, so far. Thank you, Hannibal.
Ted seems like a very nice and decent man he had a few issues in his life but then again we all do hopefully he and his family are healthy and doing well thanks for the memories ted
“Decent man” he stole millions from the MS as fake preacher.😂haha
Really enjoyed watching Ted Dibiase matches. Technically one of the very best.
There was nothing like being in Lafayette Municipal Auditorium for a Mid South card. All the memories and legends...
great interview hannibal! been a viewer of your channel for 10 years, cheers to 10 more!!
Thank you Ted for entertaining us at our childhood.....you are the one of the highest heel .....
At the time I really think you're a millionaire 🤣.....
Nothing but love & respect from Turkey and Germany ❤️
I could listen to Ted for hours and as always, you let your guests really talk. Great Interview brother!
That was a great interview!
Thank you Hannibal for bringing the million dollar man on your show. He was a fantastic heel and helped made awsome period of wrestling. His theme music was soo cool too lol. Good day Hannibal 👍
Our pleasure!
I used to put wwf on the tv as a kid eating dinner with my father back in 1988 , he said million dollar man never wins,, I was like,,, he's right he's the big top card heel but never wins, puts all the big baby faces over, so very important to the company at the time
‘Money, Money, Money. Mooonnnneeeeeyyyyyyyy. Everyone’s got a price, everyone’s gotta pay. Because the Million Dollar Man, always gets his way.Hhhhhhhhaaaaaahhhhhaaaaa’. Ted Dibiase, one of the greatest heels ever. Great interview. 👍
Great interview! Part 2 is definitely warranted. I'd like to hear more about his time as the manager of the Million Dollar Corporation (and how that came about) and as a commentator on wrestling challenge, what his opinions were on all the wrestlers he managed, his time with IRS as Money Inc. and their various feuds including co main eventing Wrestlemania 9 with Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff taking over his role in the nWo, stories about the Million Dollar Belt, being recognized in public, etc.
Ted DiBiase sure knows his politics....respect.
nah
Great interview! I waited on Ted at Denny’s in north Syracuse in the early 90’s. Cool dude and left a 100$ tip 😊
Ted knew his wrestling and ring psychology of the face and the heel. With his baratone voice, mic skills were good 😊
Another awesome interview. One of my top heels.
A great interview.
I totally enjoyed this shoot! Look forward to seeing pt 2.😊👍
Great Interview. Always loved the million dollar man.
I'm glad Ted is doing well. He played a great heel 👍
This interview is worth more than gold. Way to go Hannibal!
Dibiase was an awesome heel.
His million dollar man gimmick was great.
He was perfect as the million dollar man in the wwf in the 80's.
His evil laugh was awesome.
One of my top 5 heels of all time
Thank you Hannibal. Good shoot right here 👌
Ted: Tell the truth... 🤣
Ted is a class act. So professional, humble and kind. One of the nicest guys from the WWF era.
who also stole $ like favre
Great interview. Hannibal asks excellent questions and is my favorite wrestling interviewer.
Great interview with Ted Debiase…
Imagine He came Back as the 2 Million Dollar Man 😂😭😈
You and jake had the best interviews.. hands down
Where are the scandal questions? How about stealing money, his son being found guilty?
I used to work with his brother in law in NJ. He told me how Rowdy Roddy Piper owned a condo across from the Woodbridge Mall here in NJ in the 80's and all the wrestlers including Ted used to hang there.
You are so right! My dad owned a condo there in the 80's and I couldn't believe my eyes I saw Piper and Pedro Morales at the pool. Unbelievable..
I Know exactly where you are talking about just drove past there last week.
Great interview Hannibal! You should come to chiller expo in jersey and do autograph signing!
Such a legend. Imo very underrated
A real pro.. I watched him in the 80’s at Mid-South Wrestling, and he was great then.. Smooth, effortless..
Loved him later on too, but those regional years were so awesome..
Wow, impressive speaker with some interesting things to say. Thanks to both of you 👍
Saw Ted wrestle Brutus Beefcake on my 8th birthday.
Awesome!
Watched the entire shoot interview and they saved the best part for last!! $$$$
Awesome interview Hannibal always like ted biasees million dollar man. Glad he too got saved speaks the word of.the most high. All praise the our Almighty heavenly Father Yah in Jesus Name
His gimmick was top notch. I remember when he would offer a kid a 100 bucks to bounce a basketball 5 times and kick the ball away at the 4th bounce.
Ted DiBiase was the best heel ever! He had the best character, laugh, and he was a really great wrestler.
JYD was friggin' jacked back in those Mid South days.
Use to hate Ted when I was kid especially when they screwed the Hulkster out of the belt, lol. Miss the good old days of wrestling and the great heels that era had.
Met him at the squared circle expo in indy he's a really nice guy
Even as a young kid myself I thought it was hilarious when Ted Dibiase would kick the basketball away from the child after he told the child he would get a 100 dollars if he could dribble the ball 10 times. im sure the kid got the hundred bucks or a free ticket to the show but boy did we ever laugh when he thought he was going to win until the last minute
LOVE YOU MILLION DOLLAR MAN!!!
Million Dollar Man had a great character & was very entertaining in and out of the ring. Ted was also very athletic much like Savage, Flair, Brett Hart, Shawn Michaels etc.
I remember when Ted was the North American champ, and Pat Patterson knocked him out with a Brass nucks (soap in a sock). I was very upset at the time
I went to USMC bootcamp with Ted's Nephew in San Diego. When the Drill Instructors found that out it was pretty funny.
Money, Money, Money, Money, Moneeeyyyyy.
Ted is classic...one of the top heels ever! :) Great to see him.
Yesss always loved his catchphrase and his laugh there are times I would do his laugh but not as Great as his
We luv you ted. Youre the man !
Great interview Hannibal
This was unexpected but I am glad Hannibal got to interview him. Great interview. Looking forward to Part 2. Love to hear stories about his brief run when came back to WWE in 2005 to work as a producer or something.
the kid with the basketball...funny he mentioned that b/c that is the thing we all talked about (and still talk about)
great job!! thanks
That was a great interview...just a little disappointed in some of the live comment's (We all stuff up and he is rectifying his past) ..just disrespectful. Ted's a legend...I remember hating him in the 80's, to me at the time it was real. One of the best heels ever.
GOD Bless Ted DIbiase!!!!!!!
You share my son's first and middle name, Nicholas Phillip M, but goes by Nick Phillips when he is on stage behind his 🎸
Kool interview, but too short
Absolute classic heel, one the guys i saw in Mid-South and WWE live in person, famously carried so much heat turning on my 'Dawg,my aunt drove from New Orleans to Houston carrying a switchblade with Teddy's name on it.Naturally,my mom got tickets that were neither ringside nor near the aisleway at the Coliseum.
One of My favorite Heels In The wrestling
Ted Dibiase, what an absolute legend, one of the best gimmicks in wrestling history, so funny. Great interview, thanks Hannibal.
Ted was without a doubt one of the greatest heels of all time
Vince Russo "Bro, Bro, Bro, Bro, Bro, Bro, Bro, Bro". Ted DiBiase "You know, You know, You know, You know, You know".
Couldn’t stand him as a kid. As an adult I recognize The Million Dollar Man as a top 5 heel of all time and my personal favorite.
Yea him & Brutus Beefcake are my favorites from that time 🔥
His prime was in Mid-South/UWF.
As the leader of The Rat Pack, he was awesome. The “loaded” black glove. He was the epitome of a heel. No one could touch him in Mid South.
Even as a kid I loved the million dollar man one of the best heels ever.
Top 10 all-time great heel.
`excellent interview!
I want to hear about his legal issues with the state of Mississippi. Did he really steal the money?
Money money money money haha. Remember him doing that challenge with a kid if they could dribble a basketball consecutively & he slapped the ball away right before the kid was about to win, looool. Genius heel work there
Great stuff!
What about his ponzi scheme
??
I don't think it was a ponzi scheme I think it was just misappropriation of government money.
@@BigBadJerryRogers i must say 99% of the wrestlers cry about money but made some serious money. Fast forward they are either broke or addicted. Not the smartest bunch out there.
Great interview
Hated this dude as a kid! One of the best heels of all time.
Greatest heel ever.
Extremely Fantastic Interview with The Million Dollar Man part 2 for sure
Best sinister laugh in the business
Yep
40:44 Fact check: False. There was a SNME before WM IV with the two of them in the last match. It's a good match too. Hulk vs Harley was on the card, as well.
Ted has a great personality.
Can u interview Koko b ware
There's a video of Ted and Stan Hansen vs The Bulldogs, in Japan online (site name clue = D.M)
Good stuff.
Dibiase is INCORRECT about about Trump owning the bldg for WM 4 and 5. He promoted wrestlemania BUT did not own "The Atlantic City Convention Center". He owned Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino. But he didnt own the Convention Center which is where is took place.
"FAAAAAAAHHHHK THE TED DIBIASE" -The Iron Shiek
I love the million dollar man an the evil laugh. Love the character.
I'm the Hundred Dollar Man!
I'm feeling like there's something missing from this conversation. Hmmmm oh well I can't think of what it might be. Glad to see he's doing well financially and earning all the money on his own.
You know these interviews are a business agreement, right? Pretty sure there's some degree of vetting out what personal stuff will or won't be brought up...
The Lord needs money and who better to get it from than the million dollar man?
Defo €4 million missing
too bad Teddy never got a run with NWA title
Ted Debiase it is not the power of money that flows through these veins, it is the power of my Warriors, a power that cannot be bought, yet a power that came to me at a tremendous cost, sacrifice and sacrifice Ted Debiase is the bottom line, what are you willing to give up, how much is the world wrestling federation championship belt really worth to you, you say that everybody has a price ,well what price are you willing to pay!!!!
Looooooooooollllllllllll..... 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🎃🎃
