Hey I recently talked to Tony about a stretch armstrong I picked up. The stretch came in a window box which was awesome and rare, but stretch has a small hole by the neck. It’s not leaking because he’s mostly hardened, although I would like to have it repaired if possible and the syrup boiled down soft again if that’s possible. I think ive heard that could be done (I don’t really know though maybe the syrup has to be replaced completely) I talked to Tony and he said he’s busy until around winter time but mentioned you, so I was curious if you’d want to maybe help me out with a repair? I’m not too sure how much it would cost, but if you’re up for it let me know!

Paul Morton Alright, we’ll be in touch. Yeah the latex is a definitely on the brittle side, probably due to where it was stored and being exposed to UVs more than one in a typical box since it was a window box. I don’t know much about the repair process, but it could definitely be a lot worse
Paul Morton I also saw that there’s a homemade type of “stretch rejuvenator” that Tony sells I was going to get some and apply it to protect the figure too and hopefully help the latex due to its quality but i’m not too sure how much it can really if at all help the brittle look to the figure
Most latex damage is caused by ozone or the combination of daylight and oxygen, so store them in a PE/PP bag in a dark box, or if you want to keep them visible, at least in an airtight PE/PP bag. Also moisture is very bad for latex; that's why the syrup must be water-free. Only TPE rubber (like GooJitZu and the thicker material of modern Armstrongs) withstands water, but its plasticizer oil (also vapoours) damages latex, so do not store both together.
cool ya your best help is stretch Armstrong world online. you click on the listings on top of the page and try the band supertramp. its the best of the 70s and 80s. you can use anything I have online. also stretch armstrongtoys levine on facebook
I am drafting a script for stretch armstrong movie. Its based on 2 movies the presidents man. With chuck norris. And a few others. Maybe it will be a hit.
Hey Paul I don’t want to be annoying but... I have a 2017 vac man mini action stretch and it is worth 60 dollars now but it has one hole in the leg is there anything you can do to fix this? I am not sure if I could put a red patch on him or if I should see if somebody could fix it.
No problem get a small clear patch for bikes. Make sure to ask the person it has to be transparent. Amd tell him what its for. I put 2 on my stretch x ray and you cant tell its there
it depends on how bad it is. They are worth about 45 bucks loose. I have owned about 5 of them. some in the original box. I can repair it. send me some pics to paullmorton@gmail.com I can let you know.
