Instalado en Nueva York, el saxofonista ruso Zhenya Strigalev se ha convertido en uno de los catalizadores más sorprendentes de la nueva escena del jazz norteamericano. La prueba más fehaciente la expone en este proyecto que ha bautizado Smiling Organizm y que cuenta con primerísimas espadas como el trompetista Ambrose Akinmusire, el contrabajista Larry Grenadier (Pat Metheny, Brad Mehldau), el baterista Eric Harland (Michael Brecker, Charles Lloyd, Kenny Garrett), el pianista Talor Eigsti (Joshua Redman, Christian McBride) y el bajista eléctrico Linley Marthe (Zawinul Syndicate). El Jamboree acoge el jazz más resplandeciente del siglo XXI.
