Boy, did I ever need to hear this today! God sure has his ways of making sure you know He’s trying to get your attention! Thank you, Father Columba! 🙏💙 Meline
Today is St. Ignatius Loyola's feast day, good timing for my watching this video which is very useful for me. Thank you, God bless! Greetings from Croatia!
Thank you so much for your teaching on this channel. Please continue to do it. They are a great blessing to me and help to strengthen my walk with The Lord daily 👍. God bless you and your ministry greatly 🙏
Thank you Father Columba. I am discerning entering the Catholic Church and of course that would include the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Still scary. But I think I can do it now.
Your video just helped me so much, I was praying this morning for Our Mother to expose my biggest defect. I was thinking it was pride, but you just explained vanity and that really resonated with me. Why is it so easy to see other peoples issues and so hard to define our own? Fr. you were the answer to my prayer this very morning! Peace and Love!
Could swell, as in going well, derive from all's-well? Fab little channel you've got there Father Columba. A very effective spiritual touchstone when contemplation of faith and the meaning of our beliefs is necessary. I find you provide a lot of good guidance at those times. 🌹🌹Have a blessed Easter.
Thank-you fr columber I hope I've spelt that right 😅 I personally love your videos they're really helpful and encouraging, so again Thank-you very much❤️🙏
Yet another excellent presentation, and concluded with a clearly contrite heart: I had to ask, is that a Consecrated Host behind you on the book Shelves? Hallelujah!
Thank you.. Again. The Decalogue '10 commandments' there are lots of relatable transcriptions which help to see our offence toward the loving God. For eg 8, lying. But what is that? Ask the question see where it leads. Always Good is love that's why it matters greatly. Heal and grow in his love.
Yours you say is vanity - people pleaser. Mine is the opposite - i dont care about what they think of me...maybe too much...that's also wrong - correct Father?
It would depend on context. If connected to acting or thinking uncharitably then yes, but if not then maybe not. A great question to bring to spiritual direction.
All respect, but I cannot help but think of the phrase "monkey motion" when I hear all the steps, procedures, and operations involved in the Catholic religion. As an engineer I was taught the KISS (keep it simple stupid) principle. "Monkey motion" is jumping up and down and spinning around without accomplishing anything. God nature is your nature, and it is not two, not even one. Close your eyes and see with your heart. Confession is the dead talking to the dead. Go back beyond your alleged birth, and see what you saw before you started talking with the dead. Reject the mind of Adam, take up the mind of Jesus. Take the direct path.
The dead talking to the dead? You may be an engineer, but clearly not an expert at Catholicism. Which you don’t have to be…but t please don’t try to use your views on what you think confession is and present it as facts. Have a blessed day
I think my soul is dancing in me and reaching out to you for a hug and saying, "thank you!" May God continue to bless you.
A pleasure, God bless!

Yet another excellent presentation, and concluded with a clearly contrite heart: I had to ask, is that a Consecrated Host behind you on the book Shelves? Hallelujah!
Thank you. No, that is a relic in a reliquary.
Working on it... I would like to help
Let's see, I love to give you a few hundred!
Thank you.
Thank you..

Thank you. Could you please explain the difference between sinful pride, vanity and vain glory? I don’t understand.
😮 what happened to Jeremy?! The plant
my guess is that spring came and he up and went to look for some sun and water. Kinda like a vacation.
Is that a relic behind Fr. Columba? If so, who is it?
Yes, that’s a relic of St Patrick! Glad you asked :)
@@ctmcatholic thank you for answering
It seems like you would make a great spiritual advisor. Sorry to say finding anyone that will be a SA let alone good one is difficult.
We made a video with advice on finding a spiritual director. Here you go: ua-cam.com/video/aYL8nxmBEEM/v-deo.html
Thanks Will view it shortly :)
How do I get on to support ur team 🙏
I look at the 7 deadly sins too.
Had an idea. did you try to make youtube shorts. It would reach out to kids in a bad world.🤔
Thanks for the suggestion. It’s something we’re considering but time and resources are the barrier at the moment.

Try and try again.....
There's only one Jesus Christ, savior of the world... and I'm not him! Have a great day.
You too!
Seemed not nice, you threw the book away Fr. Columba. Anyway, thank you for the message.

Poor man. A do-it-yourself religion. It will get you nowhere. Jesus founded the Catholic Church and you have rejected it in your pride.
Thanks!
