where is everyone watching the new season!!! I’ve already watched this video but I still want to watch it so bad!!! I think my favs based on ur review will probably be axel, and raj!! Also Damien seems cool too!!😮😊
Millie is a very controversial character, but you know what makes her work for me? Her realization that she’s wrong wasn’t last second, but she thought she would get off scot-free, but that’s not how that works. Bowie exposing it really showed that Millie was completely wrong and she realized that, that’s why she was so broken up. I’m fine with Millie here because she realized that she’s no better than anyone she judged and now cares more about Priya than her stupid idea of a book. I’d like to see what she’s like going forward. Anyway, Zee is now my fifth favorite character in this series and just barely beat out Kitty for my favorite non-Gen 1 character.
I hate Millie but I’ll admit the development was amazing on the last episode, saying she did this because it’s easier to judge people than work on your flaws. For Total Drama standards this is deep, and hopefully deep story points like this continue
Idk why she's controversial. She seems autistic and has adhd she's just like me Fr. I've found so many autistic and adhd traits in her, in season 2 as well.
Holy shit. Christian Potenza was my voice acting teacher in college pre-COVID. I had no idea about these accusations and as far as I know he never did anything like the accusations with any of us. That is me not denying them it's just me stating how it was in my class. It's honestly kinda crazy since meeting him and being taught by him was one of the highlights of College for me. I honestly learned so much about myself as an actor/person and the craft from him. Now that's going to be permanently tarnished in my mind slightly, despite the good it did for me.
I honestly really hope Raj and Wayne are on opposite teams next season, I really want to see them build stronger bonds with the other campers and I feel like they wouldn't throw a hissy fit about being on different teams like Katie and Sadie did, feels out of character for them to do that tbh.
@@katie15732 that would be a cool twist, I also considered the twist that it's possible Raj won't be on a team with both Wayne and Bowie so he'd be left on his own. Could be for some potential personal character growth, I've seen a lot of people say Wayne is more at the forefront of the two of them and even if I don't personally agree with that I'd enjoy some one on one development with Raj.
@@LeonDeLlama I also think it'd be cool if they reunited at the merge and despite very clearly still having the strongest bond on the island, deep down they could be asking themselves 'who are you?', especially Wayne if Raj was on the same team as Bowie and started picking up on his more manipulative tendencies
I like to bring up the notes for chef you made: - Chef's voice pitch was higher cause the audio was pitched up, basically some international networks pitch up the audio for some reason and just make it fast. - And Chef is now voiced by Deven Mack, who first took the role in Dramarama back in 2018, and Cle Bennett(The original voice of chef) went on to hollywood to grow as a celeberty (he even was in the mcu lol) and since he's no longer in canada, he can't return to the role if he wanted.
SPOILER ALERT Bowie had to wait to give Priya the notes in order to get Julia out of the competition. With Chase and Emma being a couple and Millie and Priya having an alliance, he needed to keep them in their good side in order to get Chase and Emma out and then Julia. If Bowie had shown Millie’s notes to Priya before, Julia and Emma could’ve teamed up to get him out, I don’t know if you get what I’m trying to say😂
oh totally! i agree that’s kinda why i said when it finally played out in the end it made sense however, the wait & buildup was just a bit of an annoying watch in my opinion. plus if julia had gotten out instead of MK that wouldn’t have needed to be the case either (i feel like that plot got wasted like what was the point)
i also liked how there was this plot point looming there in the series and being hinted at rather than all in 1 or 2 episodes and it be like "oh hey, a way to vote out millie. guess she's just going to be gone now". but it gave suspense.
I think what made this season really work was they went back to the roots of parodying the stereotypes, and they did not hold back at all. During Revenge and Pahkitew Island they made the characters based more off of just generally different characteristics, instead of playing off of what would’ve been popular in kids at the time. I appreciate them trying to switch it up, but it really did end up tanking reputation. I loved this season though, can’t wait for more. Simping for Lauren too lmao
Honestly, I hated Ripper too, but he began to grow on me when I rewatched the season. I found him really funny in the bird episode and his dynamic with Chase and Zee is wholesome. I hope Zee makes those two become better people. Also the ship between him and Chase is so funny 💀 but it also makes sense, I saw fanart of Chipper and it said "the b*tch I pulled by hating on women" 😭
I agree, while the Total Drama Wiki page labeled him as one of the two main antagonists alongside Julia, Bowie seemed like he was just a strategic player. He is willing to do what it takes, but not at the cost of his real-life relationships.
ME TOO had to skip the tape worm scene.. it gave me flashbacks to that one mr meaty episode where the tape worm is living in parker’s stomach & they used a fishing pole to fish it out 😭
I like that in Total Drama, we have things that we colectively hate together. Whenever may be the characters in Pakitew Island, the whole season (All Stars lol) or this season's Ripper. I think it's good because if you have characters you dislike or find annoying it makes you appreciate the other characters a lot more. I think the producers knew that too. The more this show is talk about online, the better it is for this franchise. I personally didn't mind Ripper but I get the hate that he has. As for season 2, I hope most of the contestants who got the early boot go much further. There is a lot of story left in them. Damien, Axel and MK are my favorites to go all the way to the final. Just a wish! Please, just don't make Caleb Justin 2.0 please! Nobody wants that.
What? It made perfect sense why characters were voted off at certain times. You forget that despite it being funny as the viewer, Scary Girl actively brought harm and freaked out her teammates consistently. She made no bond with her teammates because Lauren is insane while Ripper had someone that was willing to make a case for him (Chase). Her skill isn't enough to make up for her mistakes especially if she throws a challenge.
izzy also put her team in danger though? and while they both were similar personality wise they still were shown as having valuable assets to their teams. in the case of scary girl specifically she dominated the obstacle course challenge. as for bonds with the others, you could say the same for izzy as well. she didn't have too many standout connections in the first season besides owen, but she still stuck around for long enough even after coming back a second time. scary girl was just starting to form an alliance with priya and millie when she got voted off mind you
@@jaxxen2755 Please give me a scene that compares to Scary Girl trying to stab Priya with a sharpened spoon and nearly killing her teammate with a jackhammer lmao. Izzy and Lauren are not that similar at all. Izzy is far more chill than Lauren who actively started out hostile to Priya. SG wants to hurt people constantly, she makes Izzy look normal. Even Chris is unnerved by Lauren. He never got that way with Izzy. Izzy freaks people out way less than Lauren. People just look at Izzy weird sometimes (and actually hung out with her for one. There's multiple challenges where people had no qualms existing around Izzy). The fact that Izzy at least won over Owen immediately while Lauren had no one speaks volumes about how different they are. Meanwhile Scary Girl actively made everyone scared of her pretty consistently. Everyone in the team stayed far away from her until Priya wanted an alliance. Not even to be friends it was purely strategic. Izzy didn't directly throw challenges or goof off the same way either. And she actually left pretty early in Total Drama too so comparing her to Izzy is still a weird point because Izzy never makes it to merge normally. Your comparisons don't make sense.
@@nuibaba280 i never said they were the same character? just that they had similar traits with them both being considered as "the crazy ones" by their team. and izzy Has caused her team to lose before when she told the killer bass how to row back to camp after their oars got destroyed, meanwhile her own team was about to win the challenge in that episode. although it likely wasn't intentional she still ended up costing the challenge for the rest of her team
@@jaxxen2755 They aren't similar outside just being insane. They have very different traits and approaches. Lauren is malicious and her big trait is blood, screams, skulls, and really wanting people hurt constantly. She scares everyone away from her. Izzy is just plain crazy but never malicious normally. She's usually just kind of a troll and a very chill person. Compare Lauren's intense reactions to being insulted for example to Izzy's indifference. There's a lot of differences between the two. You do know that's the episode where she was voted out right? That one and only time she caused her team to lose in TDI, she got eliminated. And she got eliminated before merge too. So if you're going to compare her to Izzy the comparison still fails for your point because both got out from costing their team the win. So Lauren's elimination is even more justified if Izzy couldn't get off the hook.
Loved this vid, I will say the one thing I REEAALLYY gotta disagree on is Millie. I suppose I can understand how people felt her character was dragged on, but I honestly enjoyed her change of heart near the end and she actually valued the friendship over her research. And Bowie's timing with the notebook I thought was annoyingly perfect. I really can't wait for the next season. Chase and Ripper should get voted out first and second, easily. Also I hope Caleb ends up being someone who comes off as intimidating but actually isn't at all. Sorta like DJ but without the anxiety.
The way millie started to value priya was really wholesome but tbh their whole friendship was really plain and boring and not even slightly interesting. Priya had some things that made her characters stand out a bit from the others but millie doesn’t have anything interesting about her at all, there were many other characters who deserved more screen time than her, and making such a bland and simple character get THAT far over more interesting characters like zee or raj or julia is straight up a bad decision from the producers.
i feel like the season could've been really unique and interesting if julia got out instead of MK and MK was the villain instead of her, MK is my favorite character and her being the villain character instead of the stereotypical popular mean girl would've been so amazing!! i just really hope MK makes it farther next season also bowie and raj need more screen time fr
I only gave this season a chance because I loved Ripper's design. He's like The Simpson's Nelson Muntz and he did NOT disappoint! I feel I'm the only one who really enjoyed the guy a lot lol
30:06 pushes up glasses. actually scary girl spent the entirety of the challenge chasing damien around and when she got the skull. she refused to give it to chris. her elimination made perfect sense,
that’s fair enough enough, i just don’t see it as she “threw the challenge” like people have been saying because we’ve definitely seen characters who’ve done that on purpose for their own gain.. she didn’t have that purpose? to be honest even if she’d gone straight to chris emma was catapulted through the air moments after & still would’ve beat her. it was shocking in the sense that i expected her to at least reach the merge especially with how well she did in episode 3.
@@lulaloopsey Sometimes characters who do well in challenges go home early. Looks at B from ROTI. Scary Girl gave me gag character vibes. So I wasn't surprised at her early departure.
I agree with all of this! I really enjoyed this season a lot, as someone who is really uninterested in any of the seasons after world tour or any of the new casts. I really enjoyed a lot of the characters and they were much less forgettable than the other new casts we've gotten. Here's some of my thoughts: Raj and Wayne were amazing, absolutely himbo icons. Yes they are dumb jocks obsessed with a sport, but in a genuine and wholesome way. They're amazing friends and you can see how much they actually care about each other. Also I absolutely LOVED the arc of Wayne waiting for raj to come out to him and just being so supportive, it really warmed my heart. I agree that I dont see Bowie as a villain. He did do some things some people probably wouldn't like, but imo nothing that was even really bad (the worst probably being revealing millie's notebook, but that's honestly a good thing bc priya deserved to know). All he did was play to win, and he was incredibly entertaining at that. He was my favorite character to be honest. I will also say I LOVED his relationship with Raj, I'm so excited to see more of it!! I think total drama has always been a good opportunity for more rep and them being able to FINALLY have canonically queer people in the cast is amazing. I agree Julia wasn't the best character, but as she embraced her true self I really enjoyed her on screen. She was mean but she actually had the skills to back it up and was really good at what she tried to do. Obviously it doesn't make her behavior ok but I enjoyed seeing her be mean and not care if people disliked her. Ripper was terrible, but they succeeded in intentionally writing a character to be unlikable (which they also did with chase and Julia). I really wished he went earlier, I'm surprised people put up with him for so long. Not only was he really gross, he was arrogant, selfish, stupid, and wasn't even all that good at what he tried to accomplish. He absolutely should have gone instead of Axel. Zee was amazing, he's totally one of my favorites. He was genuinely charasmatic and interesting and a good person. I'd really like to see what they do with him in the future. And I agree with everything else :) I am so so excited to see the new season with them!!
its so upsetting to hear what christian potenza "allegedly" did, a few years ago i got a shoutout from him and it was so cool to hear "chris mclean" say my name : /
Yeah i also relate on thinking Julia’s kinda a good to okay character, and kinda feel like she’s overpraised like she’s some goddess that sweeped the season
21:52 Dramarama takes place in an alternate universe, so yeah, it's not canon. This season is definitely one of my favorites. I'm hoping that S2 gives the early boots more screentime. Nichelle, Axel, and Scary Girl are so fun, even though they literally have so little screen time. The gay characters were written well. Bowie was so great, he's literally in my top 10. I get why people don't like Millie, but she was pretty relatable to me. Not the "I was born in the wrong generation" thing, but the judging others because of own insecurities thing. I hope the second season comes out really soon and also takes place in a different location. The island is getting boring honestly.
Clé Bennet (Chef & DJ's VA) has been gone from the show for a little while now. Idk if that's why Chef was so absent in the Season 5s, but Chef got a new voice from Deven Mack when Dramarama was announced. He's pretty good imo, especially considering Chef is like one of the top 10 iconic TD characters. If you want to hear more from him, he's one of those VAs like Kira Buckland who got started voicing indie internet stuff, ie he has a lot of stuff on UA-cam & Newgrounds. He also voicing Sonic in Sonic Prime on Netflix!
That's not the reason Chef had about a dozen lines in Pahkitew. Clé Bennett even voiced Beardo and Leonard (including Ridonculous Race), not only Chef.
@@sagittariusrat4959 I doubt it. Chef had lines as late into Pahkitew as episode 12 (and was laughing and screaming in the finale). Clé was definitely around enough. He was even available for RR as Leonard. The problem is that the writing team simply pushed Chef aside. They were already caring less and less about Chef after WT. Good thing the reboot finally gave Chef some more consistent relevance.
I love this season, it actually ended up being my third favorite season taking the place of where revenge of the island was. My ranking is: 1. Total Drama World Tour 2. Total Drama Island 3. Total Drama Island (2023) 4. Total Drama: Revenge of The Island 5. Total Drama Pahkitew Island 6. Total Drama No Stars
@@osananajimi6945 forgot it oops. 1. Total Drama World Tour 2. Total Drama Island (2007) 3. Total Drama sland (2023) 4. Total Drama: Revenge of The Island 5. Total Drama Action 6. Total Drama Pahkitew Island No. Total Drama No Stars
I think that it was off-putting to Priya when Millie took immunity because of how quickly she did. It didn't really come off as grateful, she was just like "okay!" about it without really making Priya feel appreciated in any way.
Ya know a love triangle may still occur with Bowie and Raj, the current theory is something you mentioned with Caleb with him being the villain next season and trying to take down Bowie for getting him eliminated, there are variants to it but one example is Caleb trying to break Bowie and Raj up by framing Bowie for cheating. I do not want this to happen, it would break my heart to see Raj in such a state especially going from how sweet they were. Plus it would just be a retread of Justin and Alejandro but it is a possibility just based on past writing decisions.
I think Millie totally should have stayed so much shorter and they could have made her arc shorter; and a way to have this same notebook reveal could have been like Millie had already gone home and Priya was like "oh I know she's rooting for me I'm going to win for her" and Bowie could have revealed the notebook then which would have thrown Priya for the challenge then for the final challenge where they pick one of the voted off contestants Priya should have gotten Millie as a helper and ig Priya's kinda reluctant to forgive but yknow in the end she does and such. I kept thinking it would have been so much better and prevented the issue with Millie being a floater
As a person that really enjoyed Millie and Priya’s relationship/friendship, i can agree and understand that Millie doesn’t have a lot going as in like reasons/motivations to keep competing other than staying with Priya for more time Which at least the crew was aware with Priya saying “I carried you!!” Other than that its pretty interesting to see the mixed reception of her character from fans It seems that the writers wanted to push thru this friendship as like the “protagonistic aim” or for like the audience to have a party to root for in the season. Some ppl including me kinda have been captured by the attempt of the writers to root for them or like enjoy them, also interesting that a lot of ppl saw over that and thought of Millie as lackluster of a character, which is totally fine What im gonna say is that im interested on how they will deal with her in the next season, cuz her and Priya’s conflict arc has been done (istg they leave it like that, no more on/off relationships) which leaves room for to explore for what else she can do or what motives she has, especially with the thought of her outlasting Priya which leaves her to do something else
At least tho in Millie’s defense in getting far, they played it strategic with the contestants strategizing with what they were left with (aka eachother) like Bowie made the decision to get Julia out, then break up Prillie instead of the other way around so he has a better chance at the finale, which i know will make ppl more distasted by the choices of finalists but at least the situation was realistic on what the characters would do
"When has Chris McLean ever bended the rules for voting?" Courtney from season 1 called. She wants to sue you. No but seriously, this was a fun video! I've always loved these stream-of-consciousness type videos where people just talk about something off the top of their head, and I love them even more when it's on a subject that I like. I subbed and I hope you're having a great day! :D
I think a Wayne vs Raj finale would be fun! We haven’t really seen a true friendship finale and a duo of best friends that know each other outside of the game would be something new. Also it works for the alternate winners, because no matter what version you watch they’ll probably split the money 😂
So, season two guesses. 1/ Millie and Ripper get booted early. 2/ Lauren offers alliance to Priya. 3/ Either Nichelle ups her skills or we get Kevin in a wig. 4/ Wayne and Raj get put on different teams. Which means that either Raj or Wayne are paired up with Bowie. 5/ Damien makes it at least to the merge. 6/ Caleb brings his game rather than just relying on his looks.
In a (admittedly reluctant) defense of Ripper, while that one scene did seem like sexism on his end at first, did kinda seem like he was genuinely putting who he thought was weakest last, with his comment of "Nerd 1 and Nerd 2" seeming to say the reason they're at the rear is cause he thinks they're weak nerds, while Scary Girl is at the rear cause she doesn't look too physically strong admittedly. Though he could just be sexist too, I wouldn't put it past him.
i definitely think scary girl was last for that reason too but the rest of the girls being after the guys left a bad taste in my mouth especially since i wouldn’t put it past him
omg i HAD to subscribe i agree with pretty much all of your opinions. and i feel so seen with how you feel abt julia. she’s def growing on me though. this season was SOO much better than i thought and this video cured the emptiness i felt after finishing the show.
i didn't look at the fan reception when i watched it because i was afraid i'd be the only person who liked it (i mean i like characters like mike and harold lmao) but this made me feel so validated lol i loved scary girl she was so funny and cute 😢 i got so happy whenever she was on screen. fuck ripper and chase fr they were on too long!!! the hockey players were so wholesome. so many characters deserved better/more screentime. excited for season 2!!! (was also hoping for lesbians finally but alas)
no i was scared too for that reason with all the bashing this show got just for it being a new cast alone.. however it exceeded my expectations i’m very excited for next season!
I’m one in the few that actually enjoyed Ripper. I get the fart jokes got annoying and gross. But everything about him was so funny. He’s a blend of Owen Duncan and Scott. I know he was a jerk but was really dumb and that’s the appeal. Also yeah he played dirty but so does other characters. I was honestly goad he survived elimination over Axel and Scary Girl. I thought i’d hate him, but I loved that he was hatable.
it’s so funny whenever someone mentions all stars because im definitely in the minority of people who liked it 💀💀 although im sure its because its a hot mess and i am drawn to them
I predicted Julia's gonna be the main villain :) Ever since the second trailer, I knew Nichelle will be an early boot, so she can't be the villain. However one particular scene with Julia walking to the elimination ceremony, being mad, convinced me she's gonna take this role. Back then, I theorized this two will get into a fight, which Nichelle gets blamed for. It wasn't the case and I was pretty shocked they never really interacted outside of that one scene form episode 2. I wasn't surprised at all about "Julia's evil" twist and when it happened I was like "wait, you guys thought she's nice?". She did a good job as an antagonist in my opinion, I really enjoyed and she's now my 2nd favorite villain after Heather.
I thought this season was okay. I didn't like it as much as Revenge or All Stars but it was better than Pahkitew. Episode 5 is the new worst episode IMO. The animation was quite good. Terry did a great job voicing Chris. Ripper was my least favourite character of the season, I decided that if he won I was gonna shave off my eyebrows lol. Scary Girl was my fave, I enjoyed Damien and Zee a lot too. Scary Girl for the win next season!
I think Ripper's appeal is very ironic. Like, his foulness, disgustingness, absolute trashiness is so extreme for me, I ended up finding it funny. Like he is soooo fucking horrible, I love him, but I also want him to be pile drived by a road roller and lose his colon so he can never "roast" a marshmallow again. The one part with him that I think was just purely funny was in the Cassowary episode where Chef mentions he "spiked a baby" and everyone in the scene gets on his ass for it. He deserves everything horrible that will happen to him next season. Also, he's the antithesis to Owen; if you didn't like Owen before, you'll like him after seeing Ripper
Speaking of Gen 4 chars being antithesis's to other characters; Millie & Zoey. Not only are they voiced by the same actress (Barbara Mamabolo) & got 3rd in their first season, but Millie has a lot more obvious indie elements than Zoey, the Indie Girl. Zoey has social anxiety and makes her own clothes, but that's about it. Millie was so ostracized for being "not like other girls" that she became a "my generation sucks" teen and was going to write a whole-ass book about her generation sucking (we also got to see her poof a Super Alliance costume for her and Priya). Zoey actually had shown some semblance of generalizing people through how she interacted with Dawn, Dakotazoid, & Lightning, but that didn't get explored during her seasons. They also contrast in their physicality. Where as Zoey got to be the cool action girl, Millie had to literally be carried by Priya throughout the game. I'm hoping Millie gets to do some stuff before she's eliminated in the next season- let's face it, between the pre-merge elims having loads of remaining potential and Chemma's entire thing being treated as a bad thing, they aren't going to be keeping a lot of the top contestants this season around for long. She might be in the merge, depending on where it happens, but I doubt she's getting through the halfway mark
The birds are cassowaries, and yes, what are they doing in Canada? They are endemic to Australia, but are still considered the most dangerous birds in the world with their talons and rapid running speed.
i literally agree with EVERYTHING she said on the tierlist part, except for Julia Girl you basically said all of my thoughts on this video, like Bowie not being a real villain, MK being unfairly eliminated, Priya being a great winner by herself despite the whole Millie thing being so annoying... About Julia: I just think that her whole scene reading and roasting that dinosaur kinda came out of nowhere. She was nice, then suddenly she was mean and it all happened way too fast (but I love how unpreadicteable it was and really enjoyed her rivalry with Bowie, one of the best parts of the season for me) I'm from Brazil so sorry for any spelling mistakes
SPOILERS ok cool? the TDR 2 newbies left awesome- BASED ON WHAT I SAW NICHELLE/JULIA GETTING EACH OTHER VOTED OFF IN S2 SEEMS TO BE CANON! Nich roasted Julia pretty hard though slay my gorgeous amazing Jerry the stuntman hater
I really enjoyed this season. Sure it wasn't as good as some other seasons but it was still good. Most of the characters were likebell with my favorites being Julia, Wayne, Raj, Scary girl/Lauren and Damien. And the only character i did find annoying was Ripper yeah he got on my nerves after a while, the chalenges were good it was a solid season all around has it got problems yes, but is it fun heck yes
Ripper is waisted his design is honestly really cute I'm so sad he's a mid character And Priya as good as she was, her winning justified her parents abuse tbh
The word was "evacuated". Wayne and Raj got evacuated. But, I agree, Raj comes out and then they get eliminated due to injuries? It's like Mike telling Zoey about his multiple personalities right before he gets voted out all over again.
i loved nichelle’s character until her elimination. the “my stunt double is a man in a wig” was such a bad joke idk who in the writers room thought that was funny it plays right into the black women are masculine stereotype and it made me so uncomfortable. they did a really good job with this season, that caught me so off guard and i was really dissapointed
man i didn’t even think about it like that.. i’d love to here your perspective on it! but i agree her elimination was the most unfair to me i felt so bad for her, the joke was a total miss for me
italy released it before the official launch, so there’s a mega drive with the episodes downloaded, the writing on screen is italian but the voices are the original english i found the mega link on reddit if you google a bit it’ll show up
I did notice chef's voice change, at first I didn't know that Chris had a new va so I had thought where I was watching the season just had kind of messed up audio
I have been seeing alota slander thrown at my boy ripper, and I completely get it, His whole fart sthick could defiantly grade on me. But I like how much of an unabashed jerk he is, and how he calls people nerds, I like how he has in inflated sense of self and thinks of himself as a strong strong boy and how sexist he sometimes is and how the show punches down on him, I can understand people finding him annoying, But I think he was constantly hilarious
DO NOT DO MY GIRL EMMA LIKE THAT SHE IS A QUEEN #1 S+++ SHE’LL COME TO HER SENSES IN SEASON 2 OF THE REBOOT also her personality is absolutely not revolving around chase like Zoey was with Mike. She is a complete character by herself 💅 and a queen (also Emma easily has the best dance in the series)
i hope she does come to senses! 100% preferred her character in the beginning\middle of the season, my point was more talking about the chase/emma relationship plotline since as the season progressed her whole character became more of just that relationship until they were just reduced to the couple making out in the background which sucked since she's got a lot more to her than that. wasn't a fan of the relationship to begin with cause i was on her side tbh.
@@lulaloopsey ok fair, but that’s gotta be like a mid then, you’re really saying the show would be better without her? Thats what I’d consider bad/ripper

I didn't interpret her list as judging people. I interpreted her list about people as her analysing others which is something I do all the time.
@@bethanysingsmrs849 She literally judged them. Her whole thing was that her generation was terrible.

i agree i feel like they’d find time in between to hang out & have scenes together within the season
I hope so too, maybe Bowie and Raj would be in the same team as well, causing Wayne to feel like he's losing his best buddy
I’d love this, then they reunite in the merge
@@LeonDeLlama I also think it'd be cool if they reunited at the merge and despite very clearly still having the strongest bond on the island, deep down they could be asking themselves 'who are you?', especially Wayne if Raj was on the same team as Bowie and started picking up on his more manipulative tendencies
I like to bring up the notes for chef you made:
- Chef's voice pitch was higher cause the audio was pitched up, basically some international networks pitch up the audio for some reason and just make it fast.
- And Chef is now voiced by Deven Mack, who first took the role in Dramarama back in 2018, and Cle Bennett(The original voice of chef) went on to hollywood to grow as a celeberty (he even was in the mcu lol) and since he's no longer in canada, he can't return to the role if he wanted.
gotcha! that makes sense
SPOILER ALERT
Bowie had to wait to give Priya the notes in order to get Julia out of the competition.
Simping for Lauren too lmao
you said it so well!! it felt like we went back to the roots with the characters this season
Why Scary Girl, though?
watching the prediction portion of this video after already seeing the season is so funny 😭
just picture me sitting down to edit it after i just finished the season 😭 i cringed so hard
LOL SAME
Honestly, I hated Ripper too, but he began to grow on me when I rewatched the season. I found him really funny in the bird episode and his dynamic with Chase and Zee is wholesome. I hope Zee makes those two become better people. Also the ship between him and Chase is so funny 💀 but it also makes sense, I saw fanart of Chipper and it said "the b*tch I pulled by hating on women" 😭
based
But he does mean things, total drama characters are worse than unsliced bread if they're mean
Y’know it was really funny watching nearly all of your predictions be wrong.
i died laughing as i watched through having to go back & mark them off shamefully
I don't see Bowie as a villain or anti-hero. Like you said, I just found that he played the game well and was very strategic
my thoughts exactly!
And his relationship with Raj was sweet.
@karinelachance6676 But they were made too perfect
I agree, while the Total Drama Wiki page labeled him as one of the two main antagonists alongside Julia, Bowie seemed like he was just a strategic player. He is willing to do what it takes, but not at the cost of his real-life relationships.
Similar to Island Court but they definitely did Bowie better
the scene where they had to eat chefs cooking was disgusting, i almost gagged 😭😭 especially the worm julia and ripper had to eat…
ME TOO had to skip the tape worm scene.. it gave me flashbacks to that one mr meaty episode where the tape worm is living in parker’s stomach & they used a fishing pole to fish it out 😭
They did a good job then
I dont see bowie as a villain. He was just a good strategist. Julia was definetly this seasons villain
Nobody wants that.
you put this so well!
more total drama content PLEASE this show is my crack
i have some planned for the future ! after i graduate this summer though so i have time to rewatch seasons 1-3

I LOVED that Chef actually cares about contestants in this season tbh
🙂🤪🤒🤗😝😜😬😙🤭😌😵💫😳😱😥🤖😺😢😥😩🥱😭😭😹👹👺💀☠️💀☠️💀🌹🪨
@@nuibaba280 respectfully you're doing too much now 😭 i think they're a bit similar in terms of personality and skill but that's just my opinion!
Priya had some things that made her characters stand out a bit from the others but millie doesn’t have anything interesting about her at all, there were many other characters who deserved more screen time than her, and making such a bland and simple character get THAT far over more interesting characters like zee or raj or julia is straight up a bad decision from the producers.
i feel like the season could've been really unique and interesting if julia got out instead of MK and MK was the villain instead of her, MK is my favorite character and her being the villain character instead of the stereotypical popular mean girl would've been so amazing!! i just really hope MK makes it farther next season
also bowie and raj need more screen time fr
i agree!! love mean girls but the MK plot line would've been pretty unique, hope they salvage it next season
I only gave this season a chance because I loved Ripper's design. He's like The Simpson's Nelson Muntz and he did NOT disappoint! I feel I'm the only one who really enjoyed the guy a lot lol
though i can’t stand him i kinda love that what a fun comparison
Ur not, i did too
30:06 pushes up glasses. actually scary girl spent the entirety of the challenge chasing damien around and when she got the skull. she refused to give it to chris. her elimination made perfect sense,
that’s fair enough enough, i just don’t see it as she “threw the challenge” like people have been saying because we’ve definitely seen characters who’ve done that on purpose for their own gain.. she didn’t have that purpose? to be honest even if she’d gone straight to chris emma was catapulted through the air moments after & still would’ve beat her. it was shocking in the sense that i expected her to at least reach the merge especially with how well she did in episode 3.
@@lulaloopsey Sometimes characters who do well in challenges go home early. Looks at B from ROTI. Scary Girl gave me gag character vibes. So I wasn't surprised at her early departure.
23:40 This chef (and dramarama's) does have a different voice actor from OG chef! Deven Mack is his name. I do think it's also pitched up though
ohhh! okay i knew i wasn’t crazy good to know
Your Mr Coconut prediction is actually correct, he made a cameo in Caleb's intro.
I agree with all of this! I really enjoyed this season a lot, as someone who is really uninterested in any of the seasons after world tour or any of the new casts. I really enjoyed a lot of the characters and they were much less forgettable than the other new casts we've gotten. Here's some of my thoughts:
Raj and Wayne were amazing, absolutely himbo icons.
And I agree with everything else :) I am so so excited to see the new season with them!!
its so upsetting to hear what christian potenza "allegedly" did, a few years ago i got a shoutout from him and it was so cool to hear "chris mclean" say my name
: /
The island is getting boring honestly.
we need julia and nichelle to be friends next season 💪
SONIC FROM SONIC PRIME?? OMG
That's not the reason Chef had about a dozen lines in Pahkitew. Clé Bennett even voiced Beardo and Leonard (including Ridonculous Race), not only Chef.
@@Robalexe Considering they two were the first boots in those seasons, I wouldn't be surprised if that adds on to what I said
@@sagittariusrat4959 I doubt it.

As a person that really enjoyed Millie and Priya’s relationship/friendship, i can agree and understand that Millie doesn’t have a lot going as in like reasons/motivations to keep competing other than staying with Priya for more time
Which at least the crew was aware with Priya saying “I carried you!!”
Other than that its pretty interesting to see the mixed reception of her character from fans
It seems that the writers wanted to push thru this friendship as like the “protagonistic aim” or for like the audience to have a party to root for in the season. Some ppl including me kinda have been captured by the attempt of the writers to root for them or like enjoy them, also interesting that a lot of ppl saw over that and thought of Millie as lackluster of a character, which is totally fine
What im gonna say is that im interested on how they will deal with her in the next season, cuz her and Priya’s conflict arc has been done (istg they leave it like that, no more on/off relationships) which leaves room for to explore for what else she can do or what motives she has, especially with the thought of her outlasting Priya which leaves her to do something else
thank you so much! so glad you enjoyed 💕
technically julia sang in the final 4 when she thought priya and millie died LMAOOOOOO... never mind still not a bingo
HOW DID I FORGET THAT
I think a Wayne vs Raj finale would be fun! We haven’t really seen a true friendship finale and a duo of best friends that know each other outside of the game would be something new. Also it works for the alternate winners, because no matter what version you watch they’ll probably split the money 😂
julia ate in this season.
I do get why scary girl was voted off, I would have probably done the same just to save my life but I wanted her to have much more time to stay
So far 4 and a half of these actually happened (half cus Ripper made it until the merge somehow with Axel)
Though he could just be sexist too, I wouldn't put it past him.
i definitely think scary girl was last for that reason too but the rest of the girls being after the guys left a bad taste in my mouth especially since i wouldn’t put it past him
omg i HAD to subscribe i agree with pretty much all of your opinions. and i feel so seen with how you feel abt julia. she’s def growing on me though. this season was SOO much better than i thought and this video cured the emptiness i felt after finishing the show.
watching that after witnessing the past 2 seasons was such a feeling of relief i genuinely enjoyed it so much
i didn't look at the fan reception when i watched it because i was afraid i'd be the only person who liked it (i mean i like characters like mike and harold lmao) but this made me feel so validated lol i loved scary girl she was so funny and cute 😢 i got so happy whenever she was on screen. fuck ripper and chase fr they were on too long!!! the hockey players were so wholesome. so many characters deserved better/more screentime. excited for season 2!!! (was also hoping for lesbians finally but alas)
no i was scared too for that reason with all the bashing this show got just for it being a new cast alone.. however it exceeded my expectations i’m very excited for next season!
It's been pretty widely liked
Most people really like Harold, I don't know why you think he's unpopular.
Axel x Nichelle better happen or I riot
I’m one in the few that actually enjoyed Ripper. I get the fart jokes got annoying and gross. But everything about him was so funny. He’s a blend of Owen Duncan and Scott. I know he was a jerk but was really dumb and that’s the appeal. Also yeah he played dirty but so does other characters. I was honestly goad he survived elimination over Axel and Scary Girl. I thought i’d hate him, but I loved that he was hatable.
it’s so funny whenever someone mentions all stars because im definitely in the minority of people who liked it 💀💀 although im sure its because its a hot mess and i am drawn to them
i only like it for gwourtney but then i remember sundae muddy sundae exists & they will never have a happy ending
I loved all stars too ngl
I predicted Julia's gonna be the main villain :)
Ever since the second trailer, I knew Nichelle will be an early boot, so she can't be the villain.
Chef's voice actor changed fro Dramarama and they kept him for this season
I really love your content, it’s mad underrated. We need more fun and entertaining TD UA-camrs :) subbed.
i plan to make more TD content in the future! thanks for sticking around
They are endemic to Australia, but are still considered the most dangerous birds in the world with their talons and rapid running speed.
i knew something was fishy about them being on the island like how’d they get there?
I still can’t believe we finally got a new season. I’ve been waiting forever as a fan for years!!!!

I like that the gay couple was unexpected
i literally agree with EVERYTHING she said on the tierlist part, except for Julia
Girl you basically said all of my thoughts on this video, like Bowie not being a real villain, MK being unfairly eliminated, Priya being a great winner by herself despite the whole Millie thing being so annoying...
About Julia: I just think that her whole scene reading and roasting that dinosaur kinda came out of nowhere. She was nice, then suddenly she was mean and it all happened way too fast (but I love how unpreadicteable it was and really enjoyed her rivalry with Bowie, one of the best parts of the season for me)
I'm from Brazil so sorry for any spelling mistakes

I have been seeing alota slander thrown at my boy ripper, and I completely get it, His whole fart sthick could defiantly grade on me. But I like how much of an unabashed jerk he is, and how he calls people nerds, I like how he has in inflated sense of self and thinks of himself as a strong strong boy and how sexist he sometimes is and how the show punches down on him, I can understand people finding him annoying, But I think he was constantly hilarious
didn't mr coconut make an apperance at the beggining of an episode or did i just misrember?
axel 😵💫 she was robbed… need axel to shine in s2 and maybe get a girlfriend (delusional)
she is so lesbian…
see you get like i’m calling it right now!
Boyfriend* ripper finna slide
how can u say nichelle was out of character if episode 3 is literally 1/3 of her character 💀
nooooo you missed the mr coconut appearance
As a fellow Zee fan I aggre with this
The twice picture 😊
YOUR INTRO IS SO CUTE
Brb gotta watch it I’ll be back ❤️🔥
Hot take: Ripper is my favorite character in the reboot and in the top five of the whole series. I find everything but the toilet humor hilarious.
also finnnaly someone who sees julia as mid 😭
DO NOT DO MY GIRL EMMA LIKE THAT SHE IS A QUEEN #1 S+++ SHE’LL COME TO HER SENSES IN SEASON 2 OF THE REBOOT also her personality is absolutely not revolving around chase like Zoey was with Mike. She is a complete character by herself 💅 and a queen (also Emma easily has the best dance in the series)
Yeah that judgement on Emma makes no sense.
i hope she does come to senses!
Great video! I love your room
Great review!!!! Also what do you think of the episode titles!??
since i watched through a mega file i haven’t actually seen any of the titles (they were labeled by episode number only) ☹️ i’d love to know though ! episode 5’s will definitely be interesting..
@@lulaloopsey i think theyre on wikipedia .. ep 5 is …..
