5 years later and even though I'm incredibly tech savvy, it would have never occurred to me that trying for a sec ' listen on this device ' would mute the monitoring forever lmao, this helped me so much, thanks a lot mate
Bro I love you. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU. I use the Blue Yeti with my digital camera, suddenly it stopped picking any sounds, and was about to get rid of it. I thought either the headphone jack on the mic needs replacement or something is wrong with the cam. Angry af, I decided to give it one last shot. I tested the headphone jack, it was working when playing back sounds, but I noticed I only can use it in playback and can't hear myself live. A google search led me here and voila. Without your video, I would've replaced the headphone jack, it still won't be working, then I would've took my a7iii to repair... again, big THANKS
No 2+ minute long intro, no bullshit, no fluff. Just a quick 15 second dialog and then the solution. Hats off to you you glorious bastard! Have a great 2020!

Actually this method isn't the in-built live monitoring that the Yeti has, and this way running through software will introduce that slight lag that makes it weird to speak with it. For the built-in live monitoring you want to press and hold the Pickup Pattern Toggle Button for 2 seconds and that will toggle live monitoring on/off. This also enables you to have the monitoring going to a device that isn't plugged into your computer or even have it to more than two computers at once.

I had muted the speaker somehow for the Yeti, when you'd plug it in you would hear the feedback for a second then it'd turn off. I thought something terrible was wrong, turns out I'm just dense. Thanks so much for helping to lead me down the right path!

nvm I found the problem you have to go to "Recording" click the blue yeti microphone. make sure the "listen to this device" have no check mark. Then go back to "playback" and click your blue yeti properties, got to "levels" and make sure microphone is on.

Thank FUCKING God I finally found a solution. Thank you so much! Since Blue Disabled any functionality in Blue Sherpa and instead insists on you using GHub it's been a pain in the ass to get the mic working in a way that allows good sound, equalizers etc. to work in any way. Thank you!

Hi there! Thanks for the tutorial, but sadly it does not work as I can not see "Microphone" slider under "Levels" tab. Could you let me know how I may fix this? I have googled the problem without any luck.
If your mic has flashing lights, I believe theres a mismatch between device settings and application. I just went to control panel>sound>yeti properties>advanced and just change the format. I found it out from reddit post tho www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/a00yni/helpblue_yeti_nano_flash_yellow/
DenDenDen what flashing lights are you talking about? What my problem is - that I cannot see my mic’s monitoring volume control in sound settings, but guy in this video did have that setting... so either he connected mic in a different manner or he have different firmware installed...
I love you dude! This was not my case but I had the headshet plugged into a different channel of my pc. Thanks for helping figuring me out stuff so I can record something decent without stuttering for my gaming channel!
For Windows 11: Go to your sound settings the same way he did, scroll down to the bottom and in the advanced section, click "More Sound Settings". That will bring you to the same menu he has.
Heyy I had this same problem but for me I found out it was because of the pattern selection button on the back of the mic!! It controls the microphones monitoring and you just need to long press it to enable it again. :)))) (this is mostly for yeti mics i think)
Thank you, I actually used it backwards than what you meant... I needed to disable Live monitoring as I started using Blue Yeti as SoundCard for my headphones because my internal SoundBlaster Audigy FX V2 makes strange noise and Blue Yeti doesnt and also it has great audio and the volume is at least twice as high as the motherboard has

If I set Yeti Speaker as my default device in playback, I won't hear anything coming from my headset. How do I solve this please?

the probbleme is windows 10 edition if you have a pro version you will most likely wont find it
