@ozzyosbourne5866 training room is different than in battle. Also, I'll admit I'm not as creative as guys like Chocotay when it comes to what I can get in a situation. So after a while I become predictable and my set ups are broken. So a guide like this helps give me a few more creative options and a realistic kill Combo.

sf6 is the first street fighter game i've really gotten into in terms of competing and making an effort to understand the game. i started ranked at bronze 2 and made the climb to platinum with a ton of help thanks to your videos. i went to my first in-person tournament yesterday and went 2-2! one thing i'm struggling with is continuing pressure in burnout and going for throws since it feels like the extra plus frames i get cause my throws to whiff, so a guide on burnout pressure would be cool to see! great video and thanks so much! :)

This is great. Really highlights ways to use Drive Rush with Lily, which up to this point seemed to be lacking. I've noticed you doing more of this in your replays, awesome to see the Lily tech leveling-up!
Thanks. This was a good insight on how I can figure out pressure options for other characters as well. I never really went into depth on what I can do after knockdowns so I'll have to hit the lab a lot more.
Something I'm noticing about the 'death combo' from 13:37. It's so finnicky that it doesn't make any sense to me, but if your opponent mashes a move on wakeup, it may shift their hurtbox forward in a way that makes them get hit by EX Spire early, and that causes the level 2 later in the combo to drop. For example, I can never land the level 2 if I set Jamie to do crLP on wakeup, but it works perfectly fine if I have him do crLK or nothing. Based on the frame meter, I think the combo works if there is a 2 or 3 frame gap between their wakeup and the EX Spire connecting, but it drops if it's less than that.
If you are willing to accept a 'close-to-death combo', it still works no matter what if you skip the H Condor Spire and go straight into EX Buster. You have to switch to stLK > stLK to auto-time the meaty command grab, because you have a couple more frames of advantage after the level 2
Great job. I am a boomer scrub but still play for fun. I really struggle with Lily's defensive options. Really hope they give here a true reversal DP. Anyway a video on defensive options would be awesome, if there are any hahaha. Thanks

Recently I've been using your DR into st.HP xx Medium Wind Stock after Cmd Grab (cant get the crHP to connect so ive been using sHP) that i saw you talking about on stream but i was thinking i dont have any pressure options after connecting a Spire. Found my answer this morning. 😊 My Lily pressure is kind of disjointed due to execution issues so i tend to fall back on grappler experience to eek out wins. Gold 2 atm but i could've gotten that without you.
Great guide. I think you do a good job of keeping it natural and loose, even if you have a script to keep you on track. That 100% setup off Heavy command grab needs to be a Short!
This videos great, there's a lot of things you showed that I can add to my game. However, I wish you would've talked about the new anti Lily os people are doing. After Crouch Fierce into light charge, people are holding parry and punishing light charge with drive rush, or just parrying medium charge. Hope you can address this soon 🌪🦅
You can heavy dp from over half screen in the corner if they jump up or back, allowing you to juggle 2 more dps if you have 3 stocks along with any other crazy juggles you want into ex, super, etc
Thanks to you and these videos I've been able to get from Iron up to Plat you literally made this character and this game fun for me thanks so much for all of these! One of the things I was wondering was sometimes when I use medium Spire to get close to my opponent and they block the spire how come they are able to crouching jab my jab? Even though I thought I was supposed to be +1 in that situation
If you're pressing jab after they block your spire and you're getting counter hit, it's because you are jabbing. Lily's jabs are both 6 frame start up and there's a 5 frame gap between that so if they press a 4 frame jab, you get counter hit. You have to do a standing light kick to frame trap them in this scenario
Something I've been trying is the first two Desert Storm hits into heavy command grab: often gets them if they're waiting to punish the third (unsafe) hit, and if they start trying to jump that command grab, let the third hit fly after all! 😆 Haven't labbed it or anything but I feel like there's Something There, y'know?
After command grab, the ex spire into drive rush HP doesn't seem to land on certain big bodies unless i'm crazy.. I can't land it on Marisa, Gief, Honda, or Blanka
I have a question. What can you do with drive rush can special moves that gain +4 frames because of drive rush? Like regular Condor Spire. Can you cancel drive rush with a jump and maintain those plus frames? If so.. that goes into Condor Dive. But that is if it does. Looks like the Drive Rush into heavy into medium wind stock hit is safe. Can there me more than that? It may be safe because of the Drive Rush. Edit: Would a drive rush Wind Stock move have you close enough for a command grab? That is without the Heavy. It is safe on block. It also might do less pushback on block. Maybe.. not sure. If it is safe on block and does less pushback. Then that is a good thing too. That is if it works. Then there is Drive Rush Condor Spire as a juggle in mid screen to possibly connect a Condor Uppercut? Or even medium punch juggle into level 2? That is mid screen. Btw.. I saw that a medium on block with Juri can push back far. But if you Drive Rush. It will keep you close. So it has me thinking of other options and IF IT IS POSSIBLE. If not, then that is cool as it was an attempt.

The biggest challenge i'm finding is just getting wind stocks consistently against aggressive opponents. I feel i'm on the backfoot most of the time drive impact is a bit too strong against her options.
You can drive reversal and stock from that. Otherwise, you have to do things like cr hp into wind stock or drive rush into wind stock when it's your turn
@@ElChakotay Yea I've been playing SF less than a year I'm probably playing a bit too respectfully, I don't take my turn enough yet letting people go ham. Yuel in Granblue Vs is the only Character I feel I can totally fly off the handle with on offense.

Nah, if you do it properly, you're fine. I tested this as well with other characters. I even tested with Luke's 6f level 1 it's not a constant punishment. You gotta do it close for a punish because of how good the push back is
@@ElChakotay I double tested this maybe I am doing the set-up wrong or miss timing? I dont know, but I tested it and any crouching long reach 8f or faster normal punishes this. if you cancel out of the crouching fierce second hit after the dash
You're probably doing the cr hp too close. You can hit it from pretty far away then do the wind store. With who did you test this with and what buttons were used?
@@ElChakotay I just used characters with long reaching normals that were 8 frames or faster that you can drive rush out of. If I am wrong hey man sorry lol. I love your guides and videos and its largely because of YOU I keep playing lily. I can upload a video if what I am doing? id love to have advice to see what spacing I have wrong because I am just doing the CR.F one hit set-up after the dash and it was what I tested out.

@@foshosir I'm fairly certain now they fixed it. Honestly you shouldn't be able to do that. Lily is still broken. As time time goes they'll find a way to buff her and also clean up some of the broken stuff. Interestingly l, my hardest matches are lily mirrors.
Good luck with that lol. A good Lily won't throw it out in neutral raw once they see their opponent knows about that. That's when you throw in ex spire and blow up di attempts to opponents trying to react to it. Or they just do it at non tractable ranges since you can't react to a 9 frame light spire in closer ranges. Or of course, you can do it from heavys which is a true block string. If only di were that easy lol

good video. only thing to note is the meaty setups for LK spire assumes they hit on the 1st active frame which usually they don't.

Drive Rush Overhead works on all versions of DP. +2. Heavy is +3 on block.

Yes, the trick I use is to wait until their back is about to hit the ground then dash and do it. I should've mentioned this in this video

The set up at 9:40 I just can't get to work. after ex condor spire i can't seem to drive rush fast enough to land the heavy punch into condor spire.
