Katia Ricciarelli ist die beste Liu soviel Herzschmerz das kann nur Ricciarelli.
Excellent version. Ricciarelli is SO MUCH better as Liu than in her recording where she sang Turandot. That pushed her voice beyond its limits and often got strident and wobbly. Here, her sound is full and beautiful, rich and easy. Excellent for this role.

Ma ho letto davvero qualcuno dire che "la Caballé è brava, ma la voce della Ricciarelli è più bella"? No, vi prego, ditemi che sto solo avendo un incubo e tra poco mi sveglierò, non posso reggere a simili bestemmie...
You know I really liked Ricciarelli when she was young, however at this date.. she had already pushed her voice, and MADE it larger, and it wasn;t exactly in tune either.. flat on many of the A flats and definetely the final B flat. Her technique is in keeping with Italian sopranos that are so preoccupied with that bright Ah sound .. that they sing too far forward, and they lose intonation, The same things happened to Freni, Tebald Olivero.Caballe, sang like an italian, even if she was spanish
Hai ragione, che voce orrida la Katia...l'hanno incoronata "voce verdiana" mossi dalla carità cristiana, e poi che legato osceno, che brutti piani, che inespressività....sì in effetti ci sta proprio bene uno spinto come la Mitchell a fare la Liù, adattissima......ahahahhahaha....poraccio........

Franco Rossi Dire che la Ricciarelli sia stata una delle peggiori cantanti del dopoguerra è un imperdonabile azzardo. Ora la sua voce è indiscutibilmente andata perduta e anche io difficilmente tollero che esibisca l'orrore del suo canto in televisione o nelle fiere di paese. Tuttavia non posso nemmeno dimenticare che, al suo periodo d'oro, la Ricciarelli era seconda solo a poche.
Buongiorno Gabriele..si forse hai ragione però premetto che ho fatto il musicista di classica e ho avuto occasione di accompagnare in seno all'orchestra sinfonica diverse cantanti liriche ,Kabainvanska,Fiamma Izzo,Irma Capece minutolo e in occasione parlo del1987 anche la Ricciarelli..(tra l'altro in pieno inizio idilio con il Pippo nazionale che sempre presente ricordo impartiva suggerimenti anche al direttore d'orchestra ) .ma in questo blocco almeno nel periodo era di sicuro la più inascoltabile...poi 10 20anni prima non saprei dirti se non tramite poche registrazioni la cui qualità è in linea con le tecnologie dell'epoca..
Franco Rossi Penso che l'inizio dell'idillio con Pippo sia stata una causa diretta del suo declino: si è staccata sempre di più dall'ambiente teatrale iniziando, purtroppo per noi, la carriera televisiva.
