@@plzletmebefrank Dom is the best, but the best thing he did was the Communopoly game... he had a very fitting role as the GM when Adam and Sully became his test subjects...
It's the Sullivan defense. He can't possibly mess up that badly right at the start! Very fitting he won with his boyfriend by his side. And also brooke.
@@MsDecens I think what Adam was worse than Sullivan. Sullivan handed the win on a silver platter, whilst Adam did that twice, and asked them if they wanted some dessert on top of that and they said nah
@@ImaginaryMdA That is very broad and in deduction games, especially Clocktower where everything can be true/false at any point in time, I think cannot be seen objectively. As audience we can see and judge how the play went, but I think if we were in that situation, with the NRB crew specifically, and delivered that information, "more believably" than Ken, it would still take a simple "No... Lies" from Dom or anyone on the evil team to just shift the scales. If something is not written down or recorded, everything can be delivered in a convincing way to make it the truth.
Pete: I'm the choir boy and I get told who the demon is! It's Adam! Ken: Adam admitted to me he was the demon and I'm his marionette. Me: There's still an hour and a half left to watch-*HOW.*
@@learntooilpaint even then. You'd have to assume a mass conspiracy do discount the additional accusations. The only logical move was kill Adam and if the game doesn't end you know Ken is evil.
@@noahtipton7302I agree the obvious play was kill Adam. There was no circumstance where even if the choirboy had wrong info , through a lucky poison, demon could have known that. It was best just to kill adam as he was balloonist. However they honestly believed he couldn’t be that stupid. I think the quick vote cast through everyone off the scent so they didn’t have time to talk it through.
Looks like my vote of “somewhere in between” didn’t hold any water. :( (I don’t know if this needs context or not, but when Adam asked if we were willing to share it he said something close to “If it’s mostly yeses, we’ll share it. If it’s mostly nos, we won’t. If it’s somewhere in between, we probably won’t.”
I love how Adam’s mistake in not realizing there was a possible choir boy was deemed less probable than any other explanation for why Pete pointed at Adam
Even during that final nomination the only person who actually believed Adam was the demon was the one Adam literally hard-claimed demon to. Everyone else was just like 'Let's get this Adam world out of the way so that we can focus on finding out who the real demon is'
Credit to Ken for immediately calling for rules verification and telling Sully the whole plan. He didn’t pause and think, “hmmmmm, what could this all mean? Should I hold on to this information?” Instead, He instantly pieced together the information and told everyone the truth….then Adam and Dom said he was lying… and it was crazy after that.
In all fairness it does sound a bit weird when you say "The demon told me he's a demon, but the guy who I though would confirm me as good isn't because he's actually evil" The more insane thing is just that it was true on both fronts
Ken is the boy who cried wolf. Regardless of whether he is telling the truth, nobody will ever believe him because of the way he plays. Holly was the absolute MVP of this game
I find it so annoying, there’s no reason to constantly bluff as evil unless there’s the role hiding the evil team from each other. The evil people know he’s bluffing and the good ones now question him. It has zero benefits for the good team
@@davebigman240 I think Ken is just that type of player. I had a similar experience when playing a deduction/bluffing game (Battlestar Galactica), where I was the captain (genuinely good player) and early to mid game another player, (Mark - not real name) looked at my allegiance card (I believe there were 2 cards so 1 of the 2 could be evil). Mark then proceeded to not share what my card was and at some point started antagonizing my actions that were brutally on the good side to the point that I heavily called him out as evil and I believe one of us even ended up on the prison cell where we couldn't take any actions. Long story short, another person (John) had both evil cards, never made someone else evil (I think that was a mechanic but may be wrong it's been close to 9 years back now). So when good team won, massive blunders from John, I was so sure Mark was evil too so I told the rest (I was massively stressed out at the end) that I couldn't believe they were gaslighted by Mark and his terrible way of pointing me out as evil. To my surprise Mark was fully good, and when I asked him why would he not corroborate that I was also on the good team they said "Just made the game more fun didn't it?". I fully see the same chaotic energy in Ken, and kind of understand it. Also due to the NRB format of videos it adds to the spice of the game whether it is a genuinely good or bad play, but will forever make him unreliable on any type of deduction game he is on.
@@davebigman240 It benefits him as evil because he can play the exact same way both as evil and good. Some people have tells on which side they are on. Ken is a poker player, last thing he wants is to be readable.
@@davebigman240within the game, yes it’s not necessarily helpful, but it does mean that he’s harder to read over many games if he acts the same way whether he’s good or evil.
@noneurbuisness777 That's actually not a great long-term strategy in my opinion. Due to numbers, he's simply going to be good more often than evil, and it's a negative for good plays. Additionally, it means that he's not building up any skill set in gaining trust. Instead, his strategy is to be constantly untrustable so that going after him when he isn't trusting is tiring. He'll lose more often and is not building the skills that social deduction games should be building up.
Adam: Makes crucial mistake and everyone knows he's the demon now. Everyone else: Well, Adam's too smart to make that mistake, so he's obviously not the demon.
Watching Ken lay out the entire truth to the whole group, immediately betraying Adam and revealing ALL of the evil team only to be COMPLETELY DISBELIEVED while Sully looked about ready to throw up was amazing to watch. Possibly the best acting of the whole NRB BOTC series from Adam in that moment, and a big lesson for Ken on being the boy who cried wolf😂
I don’t think anything can quite top Isaac’s Keyser Söze play, intentionally taking the fall for his demon, smiling as Adam realizes what happened just a second too late.
Had they not already almost won by that point? Would have been much cooler if the town actually all understood what Tom and Blair where saying to corroborate Ken, and Adam was just about to die and THEN they “pulled the ripcord” (which would have made the entire loss tempest’s fault which would have been a bit harsh on him to be fair).
I recently watched East Coast Gamers' "Bang on the Rocktower" video and it was hilarious. Same energy, but nobody has bits as good as the NRB crew, and I do wish NRB would do more online episodes (even more than the ones on patreon)
The fact that they did not vote Adam out _just in case the claim was true_ and then use the info of whether Pete was telling the truth or not to sus out other things is amazing.
Yeah, that was such a massive misplay. Why do you want to stay alive with no critical special ability? Die, save the empath (he knew her role) so she can get information about Adam, and potentially save Blair's role as well. The game could have ended on day 2, too: "What if the puzzlemaster is in play and the king was drunk both nights? Adam wouldn't have known that he targeted the king." No need to assume incompetence. It was sheer luck that Adam even knew about the king.
@roli112233 I can see where you're coming from in terms of how the group overall might have been swayed, especially in such an extensive script. BUT I just think it's wild that not a single person even so much as hinted at the thought that Angela was drunk. Especially since she and Dan (&Tilly!) all spoke on day 1 and disclosed roles. Once Dan came out as the puzzle master, I really thought people would work out how Adam had fucked up as royally as he had.
@@roli112233 They discussed a drunk king and learned that this would stop the demon from knowing about the role. "What if our king was drunk on both nights" is /so/ close at that point, especially for the group that knows there is a puzzlemaster in the game. Looking back at the game, Adam's later claims are suspicious as well. You are balloonist, you think you are still missing the demon? Great, but why would you discuss this (and the named you got) publicly if a poisoner is in the game (Holly said so)? Of course you are getting poisoned in that case.
There's isn't a single bad episode with Holly in the line-up, she's such a power house in this game. I'm dying to see one where she's a witch and she have keep it shut about being a witch lmao
As someone who wasn't on kickstarter for season 1 I don't see why people would say no to it being released other than exclusivity. It's an excellent idea to get more backers for season 2 and I desperately hope we get 6 episodes rather than 4, how magneficent that would be.
@@21pandas_ yeah I am. I mean that I didn't know about the channel back when the first kickstarter even happened so wouldn't've had a chance to see this if it wasn't uploaded here. + I think most people who backed the second kickstarter as soon as it launched haven't realized the times coming to an end so it's good to revitalize it in people's minds for those who might not have pledged yet
Yea as one of kickstarters I will say the kickstarters agreed there was no reason to not release it. I didn’t see one person argue against it at all lol I do think it was super considerate and very NRB to get our feedback first though.😊
It's $10K over the mark for 6 episodes so there's no worries there. We're getting all 6. And honestly? I hope it's not quite this chaotic. Fuck I need to lie down for a bit now.
The Kickstarter mentions NRB doesn’t want to go back to posting digital BOTC videos on the main channel. I was incredibly sad to read this! I am a Patreon member, who desperately clings to the monthly BOTC video. I actually prefer the digital versions. Seeing and hearing the storyteller interactions during the night is much more enjoyable in the digital versions in my opinion, especially when I am listening while doing other things. Please reconsider NRB!
@@baguettegott3409 They claimed it was about video quality, so maybe if there's enough feedback from people who like the online version, they'll realize they don't need professional film cameras for something we're going to watch on our phones.
It looks liek Patreon members will still be receiving their monthly episodes. Still, I wish they woudl announce it directly on the channel a little more visibily. I cant afford a Patreon memebership and NRB's BOTC videos are the thing I like the most on the channel. Esp in the digital format of the games.
my only problem with digital games is that the cast is way worse than in the in person games, if they did the in person cast online minus adam that would be the best of all worlds
I've watched NRB content for a couple of years but never any BOTC before now. Well, it didn't seem watchable/entertaining if it wasn't played in person, right? And at first sight it looked like an incomprehensible game with mind-boggling roles....but having just binge-watched ALL the BOTC over Easter weekend I'm so glad to be wrong. Loved it. In fact I think it might be the best content you do. I'm amazed how little everyone talks over each other (knowing the online meetings I attend) so kudos to the whole group for that discipline alone. I'm onboard.
@@Luchabul If Damsel is "Mestophylized" does that mean the Damsel can just say "Hey I'm the Damsel" or a minion can declare it and the Damsel wins with the good team?
@@Axel8745693only a Minion can guess; the Damsel would still be a Damsel, but evil, so they couldn't choose themselves, but a Minion guessing the Damsel would lose them the game.
Wait - could this have actually happened? The comments about the "evil damsel" aside, could Holly really have made EVERYONE evil at the beginning? 🤔 I don't see why not, but maybe they had a back channel conversation saying it's no fun to convert more than one person? Or else why wouldn't she have continued to convert people throughout?
This game and the one where they were an Imp that got sniped by their own minion in Adam made me feel for them lmao The Imp Situation, with my anxiety and general stress, would probably turn me off of trying the game again tbh You can really hear in This game how terrible the experience felt on Tempest's end. A role they haven't really played in a huge game, all they know is they can only trust one person and it turns out the one person they are supposed to trust was evil, and they manage to survive late into the game and a thing happens that probably made them feel directly responsible for the loss. oof.
@@nsullivan9096 You saw that Ben was consulted privately plenty of times to clarify rules. With Tempest not being woken at night, it might have been a good idea to go talk to Ben in the day for some pointers regarding the role that most people won't have played and yet is scarily game losing.
@@moochbert I'm not blaming Ben or anyone else really for how it went, just that I feel for Tempest here. Its a hard role, they tried what they thought was their best, and it wasn't a good gaming experience for them. A Bad experience can really put a person off of a game even if no one was Really at fault.
@@nsullivan9096 I do think Damsel is a tough one. It's a good character and belongs in the game but in a game where (mostly) your team wins and loses together, Damsel sticks out as a character where, yeah, you can lose the game for your team. Your team can do better or worse in covering for you but if you let your info out to the wrong person it's easy to feel it's on you specifically. Magician and Heretic are in the same category for me. Good characters but players and STs need to remember there's an increased chance of negative play experience. Winning graciously is important but especially with those characters I think.
I felt this then, and I feel this now, this game almost made the whole pledge worth it. I’m so glad it’s available to the public now, because it is so. Good.
I got to say it, this evil team is stacked. Getting the mezoepheles use on day one, and getting rid of the farmer was brilliant. Not just that, but having a nightwatchmen give his trust to the evil team and sully being a marionnette makes this just perfect
Preposterously easy Mezopheles word, AND granted a further assist from Laurie as if it wasmt easy enough. I get the content but the constant meddling assists to evil is a bit grating at this point.
I love these videos so much, but I swear it seems like very few of the players have any idea of what Occam's razor is. It's like they make one random assumption to start the game and then twist the facts to find some possible way, no matter how unlikely, in which their original assumption was true.
It’s still wild that that’s just Tom’s regular voice. I thought he was always putting on a dramatic voice when he presented BotCt, but when I started watching other videos with him in it I found out that’s just his voice
I think the misplay that probably doomed the good team the most was Dan not taking the death on night three really hurt the team, i understand him not wanting to take the risk, especially being the one first in line not knowing who else was on it, but he knew that Tilly was the empath, and if he took the death she would have new information, and he would know that the information would be on Adam who was the big demon suspect. his power is also based on a guess, it gathers information but theres an incredibly high likelyhood that you get it wrong and get bad information, given that Tilly claimed empath day 1 and Angela was confirmed to be king by Pete backing up Tillys information it can be reasonable to assume that she probably isnt the one who is drunk. of course no hate to him, its obviously easy to talk about it from a viewers perspective and if i were playing i dont think i would have reasoned this all out completely. but i also dont think his power was that good and i dont think i personally would have chanced it with this demon in particular regardless of who was on the block.
Are we not gonna talk about how low of a profile Brooke kept literally the entire game? I swear she only ever talked in private with people and absolutely no one thought anything of her. I guess I can’t blame them, the Adam shenanigans were very distracting.
Haven't seen a demon screw up that much since Sully claimed clockmaker on day 1 and needed Ben to do a madness execution to save him. I also think a John Gracey meltdown would have made this game sheer perfection.
Why did I think watching this before bed was a good idea? It's nearly midnight and I'm so wired. Best game of clocktower yet. I can't believe the evil team pulled it off! I hope y'all never stop making these videos because I'm obsessed.
I love how Adam fckng up just caused the other players so confused that they keep unintentionally roasting him that it's a stupid play to kill the King 🤣
In the pantheon of bonkers NRB-BotC games, this is up there with "Demon Sully Bluffs Clockmaker" and "Demon John Thinks He Is The Lunatic". What a game!
This is one of the most careless BOTC games I've ever seen. XD Adam not reading the script, Blair's choice to live after two people who she knew previously chose to live, and Tempest claiming Damsel to someone that Ken had already announced was a minion (I get he didn't believe Ken, but for me that would still remove Holly from my list of people I'd even consider claiming to as a Damsel). It was very fun to watch, though. Thanks for sharing!
I think Blair was right to choose live. She had the chance to confirm Ken was townsfolk by using her power that night. After being chosen once, Dan should probably have used their puzzlemaster guess the next day, so that he could sacrifice himself. Tilly's choice was tough, but she had the right idea that Alan was choosing the same 1st 2 people to get the triple kill.
As an empath with 2 nights of info, i would have chosen death there. But it was a hard decision. As a professor - you are hard confirmed if you use your ability successfully so wanting life makes sense.
@@truemajority Very true, I also believe that Dan could have taken the possibility of Tilly getting to see Adam if he chose death, even if he didn’t use his guess yet, but he had no leads and he didn’t seem to be getting closer.
@@denisnevsky3734 Ah right, looks like I did misremember that. He only said Dom and maybe Sully, even though Adam told him Holly and Brooke were also evil.
I’ve played this game sooo many times and Laurie said it spot on about the simplest answer usually being the right one. It’s sooo easy to go down rabbit holes of crazy possibilities and situations!
Ken: Adam is the demon. He tried to tell me Im the marionette but I know Im not because my nightwatcher power worked. Dom will corroborate. Dom: He's lying. Ken: Oh yeah, Dom is one of the minions Adam mentioned. Good Players: A likely story. He's suddenly a minion because he said you're lying? How convenient. BIG DOUBT. I blame Ken. If he had just gave out all of the info immediately it would have been more believable. He made it look like he's making it all up as he went along. tsk tsk tsk.
Mara brought up the possibility of a poisoned king and then instantly dismissed it as a fringe world. Which it is, but when you have a king killed on night two you probably need to consider fringe worlds.
I am obsessed with their online BOTC content. The live stuff is good too, but not as good as the online ones for me because I love that they get to fully react online to information when it’s given.
I say this every video but the ultimate meta is don’t trust Adam. He is either evil and therefore purposefully leading everyone astray or he’s good, went all in on a logical but wrong worldview and is accidentally leading everyone astray.
i have to be honest, online is so much better than in-person because we get to see thought processes and reactions in real time but i accept its probably more enjoyable playing in person as a player
thats right but the in person games have better player lists, if they could somehow do online games with the in person cast except adam that would be the best of all worlds
This video proved two things about NRB and BotC: 1) This is an amazing group that should be shown playing BotC anytime the NRB crew play it. 2) How much I miss seeing Blair, Brooke, and Tom on the videos.
Hey Adam and the NRB gang, Just wanted to say your advertising worked out great. I didn’t even realize season 2 was a thing until this popped up on my UA-cam recommended, and I backed season 1! I backed immediately once again and I very much look forward to seeing more episodes.
How can a Choirboy get Adam as the demon, Ken tell everyone Adam told him he was the demon and then every body just decides well Adam can’t be the demon?
Adam's regicide was definitely a massive blunder, Tempest outing himself to a Minion was a bigger one. But I believe we can all agree that the biggest blunder in this game is Brooke and Sully not shouting ARE YOU EVIL!? at 01:57:23 😂
Ken deserves ALL the apologies. Honourable mention that I feel really bad for Tempest who unfortunately had such a tough game. Ken and Tempest deserve to feel like they won this game too.
We have Ken to thank for keeping quiet after he revealed Adam's blunder. Having dropped his truth bomb, I believe he wanted to let the chaos ensue and let us watch the world burn .. we thank you Ken. Tempest really needed a lot more help from the good team to hide his role. Mara tried, but Dan was right that the rest of the good team weren't even thinking about the Damsel as they outted their roles.
IMO even though ken had it looked it for a quick win it all hinged on a misunderstanding... when he came to Dom, dom said that he is 100% that he is safe but never agreed on what role or the reason, this gave Ken a succesful survivor bias that told him hes abiltity succeeded and that it went through.. a slight miscomunication paired up with good deduction just gave him a hairs close victory
It is unfortunate that Tempest had a rough game, but he didn't really deserve a win. Saying "I want to die, but I don't want to share my info and also don't want to claim to you" is essentially claiming Damsel. There are literally no other characters in the game for whom that is true. He lived long enough that he should have been able to figure out a valid bluff that no one else was claiming to hide as. That's ignoring the fact that he outed to a minion - that kind of thing happens, you're bound to trust someone you shouldn't at some point when playing Clocktower, and there's no shame in that at all. But you should be able to find a bluff when you're still alive on day 5 as the Damsel.
I mean Ken also threw Tempest under the bus, man knew all the minions and only mentioned one in his big speech, not saying it would have gone different but maybe tempest wouldn't have trusted holly if there was that doubt going around
This is by far the most entertaining NRB plays BOTC game yet. I got to 1 hour 30 and had no idea how there was still an hour remaining. Thanks to the backers for sharing this with us, and thanks of course to NRB for being such a damn good group of people. I'll definitely be joining the backers for season 2! What a gem this channel is
@@HarryBuddhaPalmyes the demon was called out directly but there were fair points that it could have been a play, yes Pete said himself that they should vote but they had diminishing numbers vs a strong 5-man evil team who could vote anything in or out after a few turns, especially with the 3-man death
@@HarryBuddhaPalm chill out dude. I'm not here to watch people play amazingly, or to watch the most optimal plays, i'm here to be entertained, like I said in my original comment. If you would like to reread my comment, never once did I say anything about the skill of the players, good or bad, just that I found this video entertaining. So, please, keep your negativity to yourself! go somewhere else if you want to watch veterans who are skilled at BOTC. I personally will be enjoying the clusterfuck that was this game, because it was incredibly amusing. :) edit: I would also like to agree with the person above me because indeed, Holly did play very well post Adam-being-outed
The keys to the game were directly handed to four separate people, across both teams, and everyone just sat on it! There was a strong misplay on the good team not immediately taking that, but it's always so astounding how difficult it is to know anything for certain in this game. Protip: execute your strongest suspects, always, unless you're trying to have fun I guess. Everyone who dies cannot possibly be the Demon (with some notable exceptions because this is Blood on the Clocktower) and that means there's one less potential arrangement of the grimoire for the bad guys to spin lies off of. Executing Adam outright when the chance arose would have - if not ended the game, in a world where he wasn't the Demon - cleared up multiple stories as certainly false, allowing the town to prosecute liars and clarify mistakes and get closer to a win anyway.
while i agree with the sentiment of the protip, they're not only playing for fun, but also for the entertainment of others. And a big part of entertaining others is themes of suspense, struggle and in the dichotomy of pushing for a fast win or pushing to get as much information as possible, the latter is always going to win out in terms of entertainment. ontop of that, the majority of the group are actors, writers, comedians or media entertainers of some design, so they will know that and have probably all agreed that outside of obvious and unwinnable mistakes, they will lean towards more information over pitchforks and torches. not to say that it is scripted or anything, as i personally don't believe it is, but any form of entertainment must come with concessions and compromises in order to meet the goal. So while i don't doubt that they could have and potentially would have made different decisions off the camera and not in an entertaining mindset and role, they also need to provide their best entertainment foot forwards as the primary goal of this wasnt to just play the game, it was also to advertise it (albeit to a lesser degree) and to provide entertainment to garner views and thus money. TL;DR they have likely come to a mutual agreement beforehand to not play in a certain way or to make certain concessions in their gameplay in order to increase the length and viewrate of the video and make it more entertaining
@@Erineous I don't know anybody who likes executing the Demon on day 2, and I especially doubt NRB wants to make a habit of that. But it's how you play the game better, if that's what you'd like to do.
@@ErineousI hope that is not the case. In the end this is a game stream not a TV show. Many people (me included) find this level of misplay annoying or even infuriating.
@@Erineous If the demon dies day two you just rerack until you get a game worthy of a nearly three hour runtime, like every clocktower streaming channel. That beef by Adam surpasses Sully's Clockmaker blunderbluff by so much. Biggest beef and comeback in NRB history, if not BotC history. Epic game. So much shovelling once the hole was dug. And monumental ace up the sleeve with Tempset's Damsel outing. Shame all these people have real lives and can't just play everyday for our enjoyment and entertainment.
I did it. I have now watched all of the NRB Play Blood on the Clocktower, here and on Patreon in the last two months. I have to say this was hands down the best one. That was amazing.
This just made my freaking day!!! Been so sad with a lack of BOTC and this was such a delightful little treat! Can't wait to strap in for almost 3 hrs of tomfoolery 🎉
@@DJLatinPanda Still very worth checking out, though! Most of my favorite BoTC players are on the official channel rather than NRB. Ben is a frequent player and a frequent Storyteller on that channel. Aggie is - in my opinion - an even better ST than Ben is, and she ST's quite frequently. Patters is one of my favorite players, and while he *occasionally* plays with NRB, that's more of a rarity compared to his appearances on the official channel. I love watching NRB play Clocktower, but don't let the fact that it's not NRB prevent you from watching other great groups!
Think it also shows the experience split. Evil team were the more experienced players (Mara and Ken aside?) - with more confidence on the good team that execution would have gone through. Made for fun though
If you can, please do back the kickstarter. 3 days to go and they're nearly at 6 episodes (rather than 4). This episode is so good with the characters we've never seen before. Can't wait for more!!
Wow! I can see why you wanted to share that game with us, absolute chaos it was beautiful. Has made me look at backing the new kickstarter if that's the content it provides
If you haven't seen this before, just know that you're in for a hell of a wild ride. This is a brilliant episode. In fact, I'm going to rewatch it for the fifth time right now.
Smartest move for a final push on the Season 2 kickstarter. When I had been checking the kickstarter before this dropped it was around 20ish thousand away from meeting its goal for the full 6 episodes. A day after the episode is released and the goal is completely met, and funded.
I'm so grateful the backers agreed to share this one with us ❤ I only started following the channel about a year ago and I missed the Kickstarter. Won't miss this year 🎉
Adam's blunder was pretty funny, sure, but I think overall good team played pretty carelessly there. Multiple townsfolk literally had the whole evil team figured out but didn't think it was even a possibility. Though I acknowledge that it's easy to say all this from an audience perspective, in game these things definitely just go way over your head sometimes (speaking from experience).
@@arandombard1197 Yeah, I'm playing games in a live group that so far has only resulted in evil wins. And even our broken town would've killed Adam in this case, lol.
This is the new high, this is the best game you've ever put on this channel, and that's saying a lot. Thank you so much to the Kickstarters for agreeing that this could be released.
@@HarryBuddhaPalm "Everyone played terribly" This is one of the best showings I've seen from Holly - which is genuinely saying a lot, cause she's already a really strong player normally. While Dom wasn't quite AS instrumental in the win as Holly was, the two of them together saved what seemed to be an unwinnable game. Ken genuinely had the entire evil team, and presented it. He failed at being socially convincing - which is a part of the game - but he saw right through Adam's lie and immediately worked out that Sullivan had to be the Marionette. Angela played everything as she should have. Granted, playing the King isn't *too* challenging, but she was forthright about her role, knew when she had to die, and played into that info. Blair and Tom worked out the mechanical worlds and deduced that - despite how evil he *seemed* - Ken was provably good. The reason this game was so enjoyable to me was because there were people on BOTH teams playing really well, and ALSO people on both teams making massive blunders and having to crawl back from them.
@@HarryBuddhaPalm Do you watch charismatic people play games, including some people who have rarely played the game before, solely to see epic big-brain plays? Or do you watch because they're charismatic and the game is fun? (Disclaimer: I am firmly not the type to think "fun = winning," if you're about to say "I watch because it's fun when they win")
@HarryBuddhaPalm I agree. The incompetence of the good team allowed evil to survive way longer. Kill adam - if the game continues, Pete was droisoned. Simple as that Good team! What makes a fun game to watch is suspense and watching them figure out the puzzle. The only puzzle to figure out was "why the hell aren't they killing adam?
loads of fun to watch, only issue with this many players is about how little the left side of the circle really got to contribute, and how long they had to sit there basically doing nothing. after having watched a ton of really experienced players, i realize how obvious tempest was about being the damsel, clearly he was just done with the game by the last 2 or 3 days, like he said, not having any fun at all, and it feels really bad how it went down for him at the end, but if it wasnt holly any number of players could have guessed it was him
Yeah, Tempest was playing “level 1” Damsel. Next level is: bluff hard as another role and ride it out until killed, and reveal your true role ONLY to hard-confirmed good players (this game had none)
@@q-tuber7034 I feel like Tempest is in the portion of people for whom playing as the damsel is just just un-fun in every way. It's a bit like people who can't stand being the snake charmer, but without the possibility of just picking yourself every night and getting on with playing the game.

Kensandra blowing the evil team's plan wide open just to get voted out is one of the craziest things to happen in this series.
“Kensandra,” perfect
In all fairness it does sound a bit weird when you say "The demon told me he's a demon, but the guy who I though would confirm me as good isn't because he's actually evil"
The more insane thing is just that it was true on both fronts
Kensandra hahahhaha, fantastic, poor Ken.

The fact that they did not vote Adam out _just in case the claim was true_ and then use the info of whether Pete was telling the truth or not to sus out other things is amazing.
Dan should have 1,000,000% chosen to die on night three and given Tilly the Empath a look at Adam as her neighbor.
@whocares2277 the fact that not a SINGLE person suggests the possibility of the king being puzzle drunk sent me into oblivion. Like GUYS come on 😅
@roli112233 I can see where you're coming from in terms of how the group overall might have been swayed, especially in such an extensive script.
Wasn’t surprising. He refuses to die every game when he has a pointless role.

You can really hear in This game how terrible the experience felt on Tempest's end. A role they haven't really played in a huge game, all they know is they can only trust one person and it turns out the one person they are supposed to trust was evil, and they manage to survive late into the game and a thing happens that probably made them feel directly responsible for the loss. oof.

Your team can do better or worse in covering for you but if you let your info out to the wrong person it's easy to feel it's on you specifically. Magician and Heretic are in the same category for me. I’m two hours in. How does this game still have almost an hour left?!? This is the most insane game of BOTC I’ve ever watched
People often get so hung up in the number of possibilities in BOTC that they forget to just build a world and close it. Kill demon pings - simple as.
I love these videos so much, but I swear it seems like very few of the players have any idea of what Occam's razor is.
It's like they make one random assumption to start the game and then twist the facts to find some possible way, no matter how unlikely, in which their original assumption was true.
And then they get clarification from Daddy Ben that eliminates a possibility and they _still consider that possibility anyway_ .. I just can't.
@@Funktaro5 yes exactly, the simplest answer is generally the correct one
It’s still wild that that’s just Tom’s regular voice. I thought he was always putting on a dramatic voice when he presented BotCt, but when I started watching other videos with him in it I found out that’s just his voice
I find it cute that Tempest told Holly because he trusted her and they’re dating now. It sucks that Holly was evil.
Holly loves to play evil, though.
I think it's a perfect event.
What, really? One lucky man 😊
I think the misplay that probably doomed the good team the most was Dan not taking the death on night three really hurt the team, i understand him not wanting to take the risk, especially being the one first in line not knowing who else was on it, but he knew that Tilly was the empath, and if he took the death she would have new information, and he would know that the information would be on Adam who was the big demon suspect. his power is also based on a guess, it gathers information but theres an incredibly high likelyhood that you get it wrong and get bad information, given that Tilly claimed empath day 1 and Angela was confirmed to be king by Pete backing up Tillys information it can be reasonable to assume that she probably isnt the one who is drunk.
of course no hate to him, its obviously easy to talk about it from a viewers perspective and if i were playing i dont think i would have reasoned this all out completely. but i also dont think his power was that good and i dont think i personally would have chanced it with this demon in particular regardless of who was on the block.

Ken: Adam is the demon. He tried to tell me Im the marionette but I know Im not because my nightwatcher power worked. Dom will corroborate.
Dom: He's lying.

2 people confirmed he was the night watchman the next day, Ken was the only townsperson to fight for Adam being the demon.
It blows my mind that not a single one of them considered that Adam didn't know Angela was king because the king was puzzle drunk.
Mara brought up the possibility of a poisoned king and then instantly dismissed it as a fringe world. Which it is, but when you have a king killed on night two you probably need to consider fringe worlds.

@@daanjanssens4266Everything you offered I agree with.
Still an entertaining watch, but glossed up a bit for those who don’t know the game.
What a gem this channel is
@@HarryBuddhaPalmAwful all round? Did you not watch Holly?
edit: I would also like to agree with the person above me because indeed, Holly did play very well post Adam-being-outed
If you hear hooves, its probably a horse not a zebra
@@Erineous
If the demon dies day two you just rerack until you get a game worthy of a nearly three hour runtime, like every clocktower streaming channel. Dragging things out in the name of content is infuriating. I'm at the 1:54:52 timestamp and already know how this will end. There's literally no point watching the last fifty something minutes.
@@Ellie-rx3jt Oh do you?
ADAM: Check out our Kickstarter for Season Two RIGHT NOW: www.kickstarter.com/projects/norollsbarred/season-2-nrb-plays-blood-on-the-clocktower-live/description
^^^ :)
There's an official BOTC channel where games are uploaded weekly.
@@legathus but it isn't with NRB tho
@@DJLatinPanda Still very worth checking out, though!
Most of my favorite BoTC players are on the official channel rather than NRB.
Ben is a frequent player and a frequent Storyteller on that channel. Aggie is - in my opinion - an even better ST than Ben is, and she ST's quite frequently. Patters is one of my favorite players, and while he *occasionally* plays with NRB, that's more of a rarity compared to his appearances on the official channel.
I love watching NRB play Clocktower, but don't let the fact that it's not NRB prevent you from watching other great groups!
Can't believe Ken got boy who cried wolf'd. Any other player and Adam would have been executed on the spot.
100%
Think it also shows the experience split. Evil team were the more experienced players (Mara and Ken aside?) - with more confidence on the good team that execution would have gone through. Made for fun though
This was an absolutely incredible episode, in my opinion the best one in the series
Adam: "I just screwed up my game of Chess.... Time to flip the board and start playing Sorry."
I'm running a 15-player game of Clocktower for my birthday tonight, our first ever game of Sects & Violets, so this timing was quite fortuitous!
Thanks to the Kickstarter backers for giving us the best NRB Zoom BOTC game of all time, y'all are absolute legends for this 👍
If you can, please do back the kickstarter. 3 days to go and they're nearly at 6 episodes (rather than 4).
This episode is so good with the characters we've never seen before. Can't wait for more!!
dan choosing to live as THE PUZZLEMASTER??? TWICE???
Wow! I can see why you wanted to share that game with us, absolute chaos it was beautiful. Has made me look at backing the new kickstarter if that's the content it provides
Ken needs to be in every game, he's the buffer between a game of BOTC and a gladiatorial competition of BOTC
The context that this is how Tempest and Holly (the now couple) met makes that last bit hilarious to me. WHAT A FIRST IMPRESSION 😂😂😂
they're a couple?? how do you know
@@barbrr Tempest called Holly his girlfriend on the AEW Games Tournament Stream. The live chat went mad lol
I'm glad he got something out of playing because he seems to always be completely miserable during the game.
If you haven't seen this before, just know that you're in for a hell of a wild ride. This is a brilliant episode.
In fact, I'm going to rewatch it for the fifth time right now.
from the theme nail pictuer alone
seems like hell of a show
This series is one of my favorite things on youtube. Thank you guys for what you do!
Smartest move for a final push on the Season 2 kickstarter. When I had been checking the kickstarter before this dropped it was around 20ish thousand away from meeting its goal for the full 6 episodes. A day after the episode is released and the goal is completely met, and funded.
I’m so glad the released this episode. It really helped getting the Kickstarter past it’s stretch goal
I'm so grateful the backers agreed to share this one with us ❤
I only started following the channel about a year ago and I missed the Kickstarter.
@@HarryBuddhaPalm "Everyone played terribly"
This is one of the best showings I've seen from Holly - which is genuinely saying a lot, cause she's already a really strong player normally.
@@HarryBuddhaPalm
The in person legion game was probably worse imo
loads of fun to watch, only issue with this many players is about how little the left side of the circle really got to contribute, and how long they had to sit there basically doing nothing.
after having watched a ton of really experienced players, i realize how obvious tempest was about being the damsel, clearly he was just done with the game by the last 2 or 3 days, like he said, not having any fun at all, and it feels really bad how it went down for him at the end, but if it wasnt holly any number of players could have guessed it was him
Yeah, Tempest was playing “level 1” Damsel. Next level is: bluff hard as another role and ride it out until killed, and reveal your true role ONLY to hard-confirmed good players (this game had none)
@@q-tuber7034
I feel like Tempest is in the portion of people for whom playing as the damsel is just just un-fun in every way. It's a bit like people who can't stand being the snake charmer, but without the possibility of just picking yourself every night and getting on with playing the game.
Thank you to all the backers who agreed to share this! I would absolutely love to back the current Kickstarter, but with conversion the minimum tier comes to about $75, which is just too much 😢

Loved this the first time around. Glad that everyone gets to see this now. Already backed and looking forward to season 2
Pretty crazy that this actually turned into a game of half a clock tower of players who either were evil or were convinced of being evil.

Also, Blair's change of expression after 2:39:15 is priceless.
