      @RicardoTeixeiraCarromeu fun hobby of you have basic mechanical skills. UA-cam has tons of tutorials. I have one called the "Bible of motorized bicycle repair" even blown engine to factory new at the end.

    That road will shake loose anything not glued down ;) Good note is that you're sure the fuel is thoroughly mixed . Bike sounded great. Happy Trails.

    Sorry if I already asked this but do you know if anybody makes/sells those little centering shim I guess would be the word that goes between the needle bearing and the piston that takes out the side to side play for a 12mm piston pin. I've only seen them for the 10mm piston pins and figured they would make the con rod bearings last longer.

      Only place that I seen sell them rdmanu.com/

    Ok well now I'm trying to understand spark plug resistor caps and why some kits don't have a resistor in the boot. Does that mean the cheap spark plugs that come with the kit are resistor plugs and if I use ngk should I use the ngk R plugs? Good lord what a rabbit hole.

    • @BuildBreakFix
      @BuildBreakFix  10 місяців тому

      R is for EFI engines. The resistant stops the spark plug from creating (noise) that will screw up computers. Like in cars or high end motorcycles for example. Anything CDI driven doesn't require a resistor plug. It will still run you just paid 2$ for a plug you won't need lol I guess it is a short story version

      @@BuildBreakFix just wondering if I can replace the cheap plastic plug boot with a weird little spring with a regular rubber boot on the 12 Volt setup I just bought? Didn't want the fry my new coil or cdi

    Is this hobby Worth getting into? The only thing I do is play video games so I'm looking for something more exciting to do and motorized bikes look interesting

      If you can use basic tools. Little bit crafty diy stuff. Enjoy building stuff. It's a very fun hobby. Goes from basic to crazy builds. Lots options and such. A basic 80cc Amazon or eBay kit will get your foot in the door and you go from there. If your over 200 lbs like me. Bigger guy then I suggest a 49mm iron sleeve kit. More power than 80cc kit 30$ more.

    Ok some more newby questions if it's ok. So I went to buy a spare coil just to have one and for 2 dollars more I got the 12 Volt "upgraded" coil with a cdi and so does that mean the basic kits come with a 6 volt system? Also do I need a stronger magnet now if there different voltages?

    • @BuildBreakFix
      @BuildBreakFix  10 місяців тому

      6v thing lights up a Christmas 🎄 bulb pretty much 😆 seriously useless. Fun to try I guess. Incorescent lights only work LEDs will not without a bridge rectifier with the 12v add on coil.ua-cam.com/video/0mdwtbj9ad0/v-deo.htmlsi=DzUG6X4e3JXWFaMo

    • @BuildBreakFix
      @BuildBreakFix  10 місяців тому

      Yes this is a 12mm wrist pin bearing. Yd100 rod. real yd100 top half.

      @@BuildBreakFix just curious. My old spare Bt100 piston fit that same motor and seems have a little thicker walls if that's useful info idk.

    I think yd 100 it’s just a basic serial engine for beginners. I don’t know why you use this engine for me I have tree Zeda in garbage !!!
    I don’t like this engine !!!

    • @BuildBreakFix
      @BuildBreakFix  10 місяців тому +1

      Well for one zeda engines are a 80cc not 100cc. Yd100 is the base of ever phantom, avenger and saw build. So not sure why you had so many problems. Kinda sounds like a human error.......
