One thing i dont understand here; after we kill tormentor 2nd time, ping poing plates will appear, how do people know where will they spawn and who to go on what plate?

One plate actually lights up for each tormentor you kill, so one team can start pinging the resonance back and forth early. If each team of 3 has a thunderlord and tether you can easily kill the second tormentor with just 3 and let the first plate team focus on their loop.
@@SuperRONDALEDefinitely not a waste, for the most part this encounter is all about staying alive and killing everything. Machine guns in general are great for this encounter. Throwing on Tlord sounds perfect for this. I used Tractor on Tormentor and he got melted in seconds every time.
People need to realize that thunderlord is a great exotic, when you’re not using it for dps like a bot. It’s a machine gun and a damn good one when you’re using it for adds and beefy targets like tormentors, like you should.

We were able to figure out most of the encounter, but this helped to clarify what we were missing. I am also tsking your tip of Ground team and Basement/Attic Team.
One thing I’ve noticed while playing is that after the second tormenter, the glowing plates will always be in the third room that your team visited, and then the second plate is in the room AFTER that room if you had continued in the loop into a fourth room. That also means that you could big brain it and right when you see the supplicants coming out of the rooms, you know exactly where everything will happen in that phase
Concise description of this encounter, even after contest mode this is going to break a lot of teams. Coordination, mechanics and add clears all in one with a clock. Pressure cooker.
After the 1st tormentor the 1st team can technically start their plate mechanic if your team is coordinated enough. We were getting enough at about 1 min and pushing our timer to max about everything. The 1st team gets done super fast and can help with ad clear.
So the ultimate goal is to bank XX amount of resonance and the bullet points to doing so are: 1. Hydras open doors 2. Open doors lead to overloads 3. Overloads spawn tormentors 4. Tormentors activate plates 5. Plates spawn resonance 6. Obelisk turns off plates (and I'm assuming both being turned off is what spawns the chest to deposit????) 7. Depositing resonance extends timer/eventually ends encounter Is that all correct? Thanks for the guide, actually very well laid-out!
I knew we were doing this so wrong. We had the general idea of what is going on just not the timing of everything. Man this is an awesome encounter! Shit I haven’t even seen the 2nd one I’m hyped!
Good explanation. Got a little muddled when you started explaining the plate mechanic though. You started out saying you need TWO people to manage plate. Then jumped and said 4 people need to manage and get essence and step on plate. Was a little confusing. But overall the most comprehensive and concisely explained guide I have seen and EARLY.
something to note is that if the light is at your plate, there will be a ring around the plate that shrinks very fast and plays a sound if you didn't see it go into the plate you can use that as a quick heads up that oh, i need to step on it
Clarification : All players return to the centre, and kill the Harbinger. This closes all side doors and spawns another Resonant Chest, where you can dunk all your Pyramidal Resonance. Each resonance you dunk increases the Final Shape Looms wipe timer by 20 seconds, up to a cap of 3m20s total (10 Resonance). After a short while, you start again at Phase 1. You don't need to dunk a specific amount of Resonance to finish. You might have to dunk at least 1 per cycle, though this hasn't been confirmed. The dunks are mainly for the wipe timer. The encounter is always 3 cycles, when you dunk for the 3rd time the encounter ends and you can continue to next traversal.

3:51 that is not always the case. A few times, we've had both plates spawn in/by rooms just one team cleared, leaving the other team wondering where their plates are.
We only pinged it twice per team and that’s enough to spawn in all the resonance. As a cost tho you have to let the subjugator spawn in so that u can collect the resonance. Then activate the conduits.
Killing just the adds doesn't spawn the hydra, the *non* overload minotaur's spawn a hydra for the other group. This minotaur is almost always in the 2nd room, so its good to have a player rush it and nuke it so the other team gets the hydra asap. This will speed up the rooms greatly.
4 person with 3 resonance,2 person with 2 resonance i got that. But think about first set of people get their resonance and they have 1:30 minutes to bank the resonance. Is this time is enough to other players to get their resonance and bank them???
My team thought that you HAD to spawn the subjugators in order to spawn the resonance. During our clear we ended up killing a total of 17 of them, 3 per cycle per side (except just 1 on 3rd cycle) and 3 in the middle.
Damn... we had been standing on the plate then shooting the conductor to close it. This made it close on the second time shooting it and watsing a lot of time
So in order to close the plate we need to shoot it while its being sent back to us, then catch it and it closes it. GOT IT. I was so confused on this part. Ty
1st encounter definetly set the tone of the raid. Day 1 no good, today was abble to do It, after like 8 hours and sevaral LFG teams. But day 1 blind was fun, we just didn't figure out how to close the pillar.
So I have yet to hear anyone say anything about this but my team also learned the hydras that open the pathways between rooms do not auto spawn they are spawned when the opposite team kills a regular minotaur and we did testing on multiple tries to confirm it but I can confirm killing the regular minotaur on team A will spawn team B gatekeeper

You can kill the tormentor with almost any light machine gun and damaging abilities, no need to waste an exotic slot

2 teams of 2, four plates total and one person for each plate. Then 2 floaters.

You bank the resonances with 6 man or as soon as you get your resonances?

The glowing plates are determined by the overload being there to u kill him near that in that room that’s the plate that will light up
What causes hydras to spawn? We had insances where a second hydra had a delayed spawn in a room and would mess up the flow.
