- Here’s a little sketch about trying to figure out exactly what bendy guitar solo it is my student wants to learn. Is it hotel California? Is it stairway to heaven? Is it comfortably numb? Pink Floyd? Led Zeppelin? The eagles? The Beatles maybe?

Jimmy actually recorded the solo for Stairway to Heaven on his Telecaster.

Yup. And the Doublenecked Gibson was just for playing it live.
Okay purist. Sorry I don't have studio and a tele

Off topic a bit but if you haven't seen Prince play it you are missing something spectacular.
My dad pisses me off and says “While my Guinea pig gently pees”
You dad dads
People coming from shorts 0:58
Thanks!
@@anthonyparkernearlifeexp no prob mate!
no way it wasn't freebird
Until the bit about the guitar softly crying, I was convinced that it was Dave Davies' solo on "You Really Got Me" by The Kinks
The bendiest guitar solos were probably the ones George Harrison did for Belinda Carlisle, Leave A Light On and Deep Deep Ocean
Fuck! It wasn't November Rain.
The song is “Bendy Benjamin, the Bard of of Bending” by Bobby Boogaloo and the Bridgeport Barristers
When my guitar mildly annoyed
The second I heard him say about a guitar I knew what it was
He’s holding an SG - maybe something from Cream or Sabbath? My guess: Sunshine of Your Love
Whoa! Not a bad guess!
The Phish cover blew my mind. Trey rips that solo SO HARD!

I knew it was going to be a Beatles song 😀
Knew it from from the start
My favorite version of the softly crying ukulele is the Eric Clapton Concert for George version. It takes it full circle since George asked Eric to play it on the original Beatles recording. Step outside yourself for a minute and picture this: your best friend is lead guitarist for the Beatles and wants you to play the solo on his song about the guitar gently weeping. Then, your friend is gone. You have a chance to play that song again with some of the best musicians in the world. His outro soloing is perfect. The deep and shivering bends, the long melodic lines. Too good!
Bendy? ZZ top La Grange
British band and a Guitar solo full of bends...i was thinking about Black Sabbath
I was thinking Bohemian Rhapsody.
Hi Anthony, I didn't realize all the bends in George's solo until you played it. I still love the white album no matter what people say about it. So many good songs. Thanks 😊
Ought to be Clapton
The Jeff Heeley cover is so good
Someone wants to get takedown/ copyright claimed...
Nah, not for 15 seconds of a solo with no backing tracks. This one is safe
has to be free bird
I’ll save you some trouble the song is: While my Guitar Softly Weeps
