this channel is soo good because he has such a big variety of product combinations such as the AT2020 with the Go XLR. Explaining every settings makes it soo easy for everyone to understand, you learn alot from watching his videos.
at about 6:30 you did mention wanting to use the 400 Hz range but remarked that you had to round it, but, even in this version you had for the GoXLR, you have the "enable fine tune" option which allows you to tweak the range from 500 to 400, along with tweaking every other range to be higher or lower.
Your tutorials are legendary man! I been doing youtube for a long time, but never been happy with my audio. Literally took my two videos to have 10x better audio. Thanks!
You do just such a good job explaining settings! I've watched enough of your videos clearing up audio stuff I finally subbed. Thanks and keep up the great work!!
Hi! Thank you for the video. I just got mine, really helpful. For now I just follow your setting, bcus I need to understand how it works and which one suits mine.
Thanks for the setttings. I have a AT2020 using GOXLR mini. The only issue is the background noise. I have a fan running and you can alwways hear that and other things going on in the background, Any ways to fix this? Also, is it better to leave the mic as it is without a foam cover or should I get one?
At the bottom of my microphone (which is an AT2020) The bottom does not look like it could fit a XLR cable did I buy the wrong kind of microphone.... Please explain I wanna know before I buy the XLR cable.
I just tried this on my 2035 and got amazing results it significantly improved my mic quality so yeah this is definitely a good video to use to set up your mic
I followed your instructions but my mic has a serious hum, and its poping and crackling quite violently. not sure what is causing it. I recon it could be poor xlr cables but im really not sure. Have you guys ever came across this issue? Im using a dual pc streaming setup with the GOXLR mini. Please help.
I'm not very knowledgeable about this sort of thing but when you were talking about setting up the EQ was all the frequency's high pass? if not what was what?
Hi, I want to buy the same setup as you in the video for my streams but many people say that it's better to have dynamic mic beacause we will hear all the clicks of the keyboard if we have a condenser mic. Do you have some solutions to fix the background noise with this setup ?
good vid but im not sure what to get I want the go xlr but don’t know if I should get mini or the goXLR I only make UA-cam videos so what would you think I should get?
Hi! I just bought the AT2020 with goxlr mini, I already connected my mic in the xlr input, rn I'm confused about where to connect my hyperx cloud 2 headset ( any kinds of help are really appreciated )
Really nice video. Set it up just like this and i can hear my keyboard really loud, mouse clicks, just laying my phone on the table makes alot of noice along with i have it routed so i can hear my own voice in headset and i can hear some static noice in the background when nothing else is playing coming from the mic, any ideas on how to solve this? Got same Mic and GOXLR as the vid.
@@Ilya__s I tested with a friend in discord and he said it was all fine, i think there is just something going on when u enable ur own headset, might be that mic and headset is close to each other causing some interference. Try have a friend join u in a discord call or voice channel to test :)
If you don't want to hear yourself, you need to go into the Routing tab of the software he's using (GoXLR App) and uncheck "Mic" input on the "Headphones" row. This stops the Mic input being sent to your headphones.
It's not highly recommended to use a USB mic with the goxlr. But you could connect the headphone output of the AT2020USB to the Mic Input on the GoXLR.
@@kettnercreative ahh yeah , I went over the video after and noticed , thanks. How would I stop breathing and mouse clicks as I’m a quite talker so it’s more sensitive
Hey, just bought the at2020 to go together with my already owned goxlr mini. For some reason my voice seems really quiet even with your settings. Any ideas how to fix that? Edit: using obs stream elements and I have no filter in obs and my audio/mic volume is on max.

This video gave a super clear explanation. It helped me out immensely setting up my own goxlr.

has he got a video for the mic eq with the go xlr mini ?
A little late but would these settings be similar for the 2035?

OBS has a built in noise reduction filter for Mics now

If you don’t need the sound effects, the mini is good enough
@@kettnercreative but the mini only have 24V so some Condenser mics will not be able to work with a go xlr mini
Do you have a guide for the at2020 with the goxlr mini? Specifically the eq portion?
I don't. yet. I can add it to the list though!

@@kettnercreative what are the drawbacks to doing so if you don't mind me asking, sorry I haven't been able to find any info online about it

you gotta turn up the db
The mini only has 24v of phanthom power and the at2020 needs 48v so that might be the issue
