This was a bloody fantastic gig.. Atmosphere and great music.. We can all have opinions on which songs to play and not.. but you know what.. It's Quo.. Just boogie and rock out with a smile
If this is the end of the road ( again ) what a way to bow out. I have seen Quo many times over a lot of years , And this gig ranks among the best of the latter years.. The band seem so energised and really having a good time. The set list dispensed with most of the crap ( still got The Oriental, unfortunately ) and was simply rammed full of classics played with the vigour of a much younger band . The sound was excellent and the Quo were the heaviest i've heard them in years.
Saw them at Halifax this week and was blown away by the energy. Agreed on the playlist, best balance of classics. Definitely the best I’ve of then in recent years
So what do you consider as the crap ? The oriental is a fun song, and Rossi is a great entertainer. He likes to talk, and he doesn't bore the arse off the audience !
@@tommyd5238but they could change the live set for some songs. Spinning wheel blues, claudie, don't think it matters - as a shorter version - in, Oriental proposing medley out. Why not?
Why should they give up playing live ? They're still great, maybe not doing ultra long tours, but while they still have millions of fans, yes, carry on !
I was wondering who the current rythm guitarist is and then I saw that he'd been a member since Rick's death in 2016 - I couldn't believe it has been 8 years since he's passed
If Francis had passed away first, would it be the Rick Parfitt band? .......nahh it would still be Status Quo, like it is still Pink Floyd or The Eagles, accept it because the original line up cannot be....bless Rossi for keeping it going.
With two of the original members no longer with us and the original drummer now replaced, its hardly likely to be is it? This is as close to the original line up as you are able to get, and they still produce a great sound😊
And Andy's been with them since he chose to eschew being on "Frampton Comes Alive" - 1976! Rhinos been with them since 1986. Maybe not original with Rick and Alan both sadly gone, but this lineup is great in its own right
Well said Alan, another chapter in Francis's life is about to take place when this tour is over, who can blame him he has given his all to the mighty Quo!

What a fantastic night it was. One of the best quo gigs I've been to in recent times. Both crowd and quo on top form.
The Mighty Quo 🎸
I love lots of bands but Quo were one of the first I followed, and they still do it well. Go Francis
Still delivering the goods after all these years. I defy you not to bang your head when the main riff kicks in. Irreplaceable. 🤘🙂🤘

Richie Malone was hand picked by both Rossi and Parfitt as this replacement.. A great choice there!

Not really quo
How can it be? two of the originals have now passed.
The Francis Rossi band.

That is definitely not status quo
Are ACDC still ACDC or the Angus Young band?
