My two cents on delivering in Portland.1) 1st day-no help in warehouse. told them I was new. some packages not scanning well. wasn't sure what bar code to scan. felt rushed. left without my "paper". told them on the way out. no help. said I do not need it.
2) Packages were not marked as to deliver this 1st, 2nd according to route. could only see address and not familiar with city. Assigned a 3 hr block 5p to 8p.
3) started at 5p. left warehouse at 530p. took 30 mins to deliver 1st package. commute traffic was horrific. then multiple luxury apts that were closed and locked after 6p. customer not responding or name on apt list was missing.
4) map on flex app took me to different areas where the freeways were close together. lost 30 mins because of that. again, terrible traffic. Otherwise flex app was pretty good.
5) because I could not organize my packages I had to dig for every package. nightmare. late at night. no flashlight.
6) finally at 8p I was able to start delivering to houses or easy access apts but cutoff is about 930p and the app that I was using just disappeared as I was taking a picture of a drop off.
7) still had 4 packages to deliver but had to return them back at station at 10p.
8) So my 1st 3 hr block lasted 5 hours and I was unable to deliver the last 4 packages.
9) So..BYE BYE Amazon flex for package delivery. will try Instant offers..but mostly will stick to Door Dash where I know the area and not feel so rushed with less wear and tear on my car
This exactly happened to me today too! I absolutely hated it.
U know it's a scam when they won't pay u per pkgs but per block hrs so they can manipulate volume.
all these delivery jobs are a scam. multi billion $ companies con ppl to work as an I/C and have zero overhead or liability. Avg driver is lucky makes $10/hr after all said and done.
And they can fire your butt whenever they want to. Amazon doesn't call it "firing", but if I go to work and am told I can't work there anymore, I call that being fired.
dont forget u’re racking up rediculous milage on ur car, wear and tear, repair, gas, etc....fuck that i would never do this. And i am sure they require you to carry a certain limit of insurance on ur car. I dont know why anyone wouls do this
I'm in Los Angeles ca, whenever I forget to scan a package i just call support to let them know and they can scan complete in their said for you, no need to go back and knock on the customers door, good luck.
I have been doing Amazon Flex for two days and I am not that impressed to be honest. Lots of work for a few bucks. 60 pkgs in three hours for about $66. Sounds easy on paper but lots of stress on vehicle (Stop and go) and your body as well (walking and climbing stairs.) I can make that in an evening on Grubhub with less stress. To be honest I am leaning towards Grubhub and other food deliveries. I feel like you make a reasonable amount of money with less stress plus its always busy because people have to eat. More money in ride share like Lyft and Uber but too many crazy passengers. Having to constantly worry about ratings is definitely the main reason I stopped doing Lyft. I'm a reasonable guy with 4.9 on Lyft in two years of driving but its still hard to satisfy the human mind.
I piece of Advice for Amazon , hire Superman and Flash so they can deliver on time
Thanks for your opinion. I am waiting on my background check and havent heard anything from Amazon Flex. Its been 3 days. The app says it takes 2-5days
Go to school!
Nailed it, schedule 3 hour block for $54 now and takes like 4 hours or more to deliver especially during peak/rush hour traffic, they a scam took me a week to figure out gave them a chance and honestly did it to make rent on time and in between jobs, it's a scam unless you're lucky land the $90 offers for 3-4 hours isn't bad but yeah these bullshit $54-64 offers for 3hrs to almost 4 and factor the warehouse/sort facility takes another 30 mins have to be there 15 mins before start time another 15 mins to scan and load, takes 30 there takes another 45-1hr to destination this is Phoenix it's spread out well, that right there is half the block, so 30-40 packages in an hour 30 mins? man I really hope there isn't an old woman at the crosswalk otherwise poof Santa hit Grandma with a reindeer, so I'll yell out
"I hope she has health insurance as I zip by doing 90mph lol hey Amazon GFY and FYL!
all these companys lyft uber amazon grub love are scamming us all. when we use our OWN cars and make peanuts? ya 500 to 700 a week is definitely peanuts when were using our own cars.
guys think oh i made 200 off uber today hurray! you goofball that 100 miles you just added to your car is 5 steps closer to the mechanic shop.
Rodrell Green im being sarcastic you goofball i bet your from wisconsin
@ Harley Prince -- you are smart and have some insight .... you speak the truth . Most of these companies are a Fraud.. people are too dumb to know it.
How is it a scam when you are the one choosing to drive for them? Give me a break. If you want to make more money then get a different job. Driving is a skill-less job, you shouldn't expect to make much. You are in no position to complain when you're the one who made the choice to work for them.
When people chose a job, they expect certain aspect of job to apply, not to be lied to. First posted you can make “$18-$25 hours” which is a lie … in actual fact you are expected to delivery up 30-60 packages in less than 2.5 hours. Not counting the time used to load your car , and wait in line to exit the warehouse. In short you make much less , which really means you really make $2 an hours, waiting 10 hours days to get the actual call but in actual fact you only work 2-3 most days. Case and point stay away from anything Amazon. Jeff Bezos is a liar, an abuser and a fraud.
The only minor benefit you make you own hours… to some fictitious respect.
Idk why people are crying about amazon flex. If you're worried because your car already has so many miles then don't do it. My car is brand new so i'm not even worried about putting miles on it. You get .54 cents a mile if you're keeping track of it and are actually logging it. And in fact in my area i generally finish my block in 1-2 hours never takes me the full 3 hours but also depends on where you live I suppose. Literally making about $730 a week + the .54 cents a mile which is about 700 miles a week for me maybe more regardless and in total that puts me at $1100 roughly a week. This is the only job that actually guarantees and promises $18 an hour unlike doordash and postmates which all varies on the customer tipping or not. And who wants random strangers in your car anyways. Hands down amazon flex is way more beneficial than the other apps. Also beware that when taxes come if you're making between $20k-$30k expect to pay 20% for taxes. Also currently a full time college student ;)
getting blocks is a bit more difficult now. seems there is an oversaturation of drivers. the blocks that show, you only have about 1 second or even less, say half a second. check this out, I'm driving back from the warehouse on the freeway refreshing, blocks pop up but I can't accept these blocks in time. when I arrive home and get on wifi, I'm able to snag blocks, it's down to the milliseconds, faster phone, faster connection, faster fingers... survival of the flittiest... if that's a word
JongThrill It is now. Lol.
Don't judge a book by the cover. You told me enough on here to stay away from amazon. And for that I thank u.
Honestly Amazon should be ashamed of themselves.. with all of their money the least they could do provide scanners, they could keep them at the warehouse and people can drop off at the end of the block or something to prevent your phone app from having issues. If you don't return the scanner then there could be a penalty or something like that.
Thanks from Egypt
It is so automated I can imagine how someone could get blocked or caned without a blip.
I'm in Seattle, and I get two blocks a day. That's two 4hour shifts.
I agree that the app is pretty glitchy. The gps is crap, I'll begin to go to the destination, and have to drive in a circle to get the actual directions.
How long did you have to wait before you got to drive for Amazon flex after initially signing up in Seattle?
The Navigation on Flex is bad in some spots. I'm on the wrong side of the street sometimes. It calls the highway another road.... It's pretty trash..........App freezes , when I arrive to warehouse, it sometimes doesn't let me start scanning on time. It's bad.
Very helpful video
The application does freeze bad sometimes. I delived in a 5 stories apartment building the app froze and wouldn't scan out 17 packaged then after I played around with it after I had been in the building for about 1 hour because the app started working I tried to scan but I kept getting the X so I called Support & they did something on they're end and said they had cause the application to scan all of them out...but when I tried to go to the next delivery the GPS kept sending me back to the Apartment building. so made that one delivery and returned about 25 pkg back to the warehouse ...
Since I've been working for Amazon Flex I've had problems..they fired me but that's ok because it's all about the Benjamin's that all they're about the worker's are a dime a dozen...
They need better work ethics but what should we expect from a company that started out selling Tablets...
Can you please tell me how to get a block in Portland that isn't in downtown. I just took 10 hours to do a 4 hour block and still had to return 20 packages. The app went down for 2 hours today but even if it didn't no way I could get that done in 4 hours. I will never do downtown again. Ever. It's impossible. There is no parking in downtown Portland.
Do you work in pittsburgh?
You are absolutely right about the app being glitch. The other day I picked up about 40 packages, and headed out. I delivered one package, and the app CRASHED. Actually had to call support to get someone to show it as being delivered. Then some other support person tried to help me get my app going again and said I'd have to send an email in and get instructions on how to fix it. I might have to re-install it, but she wasn't sure. I told her I thought the app sucked, and she had no comment LOL. Yep, the Amazon Flex app doesn't compare to Lyft's or Uber's apps. They've got theirs down to a science. Oh, I ended up having to take all the packages back to the warehouse, and good thing is, they paid me anyway, for my time.
Interesting video. I signed up and became activated about a month ago and yet (for now) I've decided to put things on hold because the more research I did I more skittish I became with the whole deal. I'm in Los Angeles and the warehouse is 24 miles from my house and I drive a pickup truck. So the far distance plus my lousy mpg is not a good combination. Plus you are right getting an available block is tough. I basically made myself available 14 hours a day every day and yet I was only seeing evening blocks which as a newbie I don't want. Also delivering to apartment buildings, townhouses, and gated communities give me major anxiety. Starting at $18 and hour gross could easily become $10 and hour net which isn't very attractive. Plus I've been doing Lime and Bird which for now is more lucrative than $18 and hour. I'm going to wait for the holidays and then do some more thinking.
Paul Yeo You mention that Amazon Flex is more of secondary. What would you recommend as the best main job between UberEats, Uber, Postmates, and GrubHub?
CHACE it's more of a third now lol. I'm on ubereats during the daytime and postmates after midnight
looking more and more like a cave man everyday. o.O
Amazon Flex drivers: I'll show you how to get more blocks. TAPTECH, a solution to help Amazon Flex drivers auto REFRESH, ACCEPT blocks.

I’d like to share my Amazon Flex experience with you. I’ve being Amazon Flex driver for over 5 months now. The pay (average $25-28 hours with tips) for this kind of work is fair that I work 30-39 hours per week and make about $3500 a month. I am looking for a newer car so that I can work for UBER and LYFT as well. There are little reserved hours and it is a challenge getting blocks. I almost quit because I feel it is nonsense and wasting of time swiping phone screen to find block not even know what and when these blocks are released. I use a device called TAPTECH Auto Clicker (NOT SOFTWARE)to swipe and tap the phone screen to get blocks for me. It is working efficiently and effectively that search and accept block offers without my fingers on the phone. If you want to earn more with Amazon Flex, this tool will help you spend less time of swiping/tapping phone screen while getting more blocks to maximize your earning opportunities. How much per day would you pay to someone to swipe the phone screen day and night constantly to get blocks for you? My investment was paid off in one day. (DO NOT RISK DEACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT by using auto click software because Amazon will detect it!!)
Youre probably one of them femenin guys who cant grow facial hair and you envy men who do
Damn that missed scan box happened to me yesterday and the deactivation
For #2, just type in the code displayed on the itinerary, no need to play wrap-a-doors :D
WHY IN dfw THERE ARE NEVER ANY DELIVERIES AVL.... aMAZONE SAYS THERE ARE ROUTES AND TAKES ALL YOUR INFO, BANK INFO, SSN, AND THEN NEVER HAS AVAILABLE WORK, , I CHECK EVERY 4-5 HOURS A DAY FOR THE LAST 4 WEEKS ..
ALL I GET IS ...
" SORRY THERE ARENT ANY DELERVERY OPENIGNS IN YOUR AREA AT THE MOMENT. CHECK BACK IN THE NEXT DAY OR TWO TO SEE IF ANY OPENINGS BECOME AVALIABLE!
ANYONE KNOW WHY THEY DO THIS ????
Tapping your phone that’s bad habit...
Very annoying...
My close friend just got into an accident like 4 months ago..
The block alert came while he was driving he rear end this car I front of him..amazon don’t think twice..
I drive for them at late night anywhere 9pm it’s hecka late..
"Hecka" lol.....havent heard this word since i left California
I work as a contractor, who delivery around 250 package a day, and have the similar rabbit issue as you here what i Do. 1) I usually turn on airplane mode, I think the "rabbit" apps is faster when its not connected to internet. It does not freeze on me when the rabbit is not connected to internet. Trust me it is faster off internet. and most of the glitches u complained about is fix when rabbit is offline. 2) if you ever have to re-scan a package, I will memorize the TBA number, then enter it. The option to enter the TBA number is on the top right button, then you have a option to press on, "enter package ID here" or something. you have to enter the whole number plus the TBA. Example, TBA85123540000.
David Hang I started a Delivery business and went to site go to the bidding process but I’ve been waiting for someone to contact me to start the boarding process, Frustrated! It’s been ah month almost two
you missed a digit bro...it's 15 digits...pissh
If you have a brain to memorize these numbers with a short period of time, why don’t you go to school and make triple of what you’re making now? Besides, you will have a respectful job! It’s just a complement!
So I've been lucky enough because I've always got blocks and when I do not pick them up they raised up the price
Turning on and off your car 60 to 70 times a day is really bad for your car. The first thing that will go out on your car will be the starter also not good for your battery and alternator.
James First I saw that you posted this same statement under somebody else's Amazon Flex video.
Don't turn it off and on?
Crisszilla well I used to be a mechanic and I know how bad it is for the car if you turn it on and off constantly. So I want people to know that the money they make now comes at a very expensive cost. Also you mentioned not to turn off your car? Well that's also not a good advice cause what if your car gets stolen with people's items in your car?
James First Personally, I have an extra key and a club, but I know not everyone does, so I definitely understand your concern.
All the best to you.
James First but a starter is very easy to replace and they have how to videos on UA-cam and a starter will last 10 years , most parts on a car will last 10 years , with the exception of a engine that will last 20 years
+S T Replacing a starter is not so easy on today's advanced cars. Maybe it is if you're driving a '95 Geo Metro or something.
Great part time work 👌
How much do they pay for the block's?
Amazon flex did really diactivate my account, I don't really know if I did something wrong and that is really wrong to discharge people when ever they want and I even heard that they even deactivate because a customer report that they never got they package when the driver did actually delivered the package but it was the customer who lied and want something else for free.
Google guest you are lazy and an Idiot.
God bless you
Dislikes: Amazon Flex offers slow or no support. Can take weeks for support to reply to an email. When they do reply, the reps aren't very knowledgeable. The app sucks. The pay is ok... if you do ever get any offers. Amazon Flex doesn't seem care about or appreciate their contractors. I wonder what they'd do without them. I'm a frequent Amazon prime shopper, but that may change considering how they treat their Amazon Flex contractors.
I agree
I agree with you. I HATE AMAZON FLEX/LOGISTICS also.. Amazon Logistic Delivery SUCKS. Very unreliable and their drivers are IDIOTS. I have so much miss-deliveries and failed delivery attempts with Amazon Logistics. My last incident with them, the IDIOT Amazon driver delivered my package at a different address, and he even took a picture of it to show it was delivered. I called in and Amazon was SHOCKED of what took place. IDIOTS!! I practically complaint about their drivers being idiots that can't find an address to make delivery. At this day and age where you can put the address in your phone, via google maps to find where your going. If they can't find you, your number is on file with the order and they do not even call you like they are supposed to by their policy. I called so many times, Amazon finally changed my delivery using USPS, Fedex, UPS and DHL instead of Amazon Logistics. So far no miss deliveries or failed attempt deliveries without using Amazon Logistics/Flex. Amazon Logistics Delivery is a JOKE and Amazon should get rid of them....yes Im a Prime member.
That's why I don't do Amazon Flex
come to the desert. no one wants to deliver in 105+ degree heat.
After gas you're making 10hr
I'd see if I could contract through a company. I hate working for people getting paid shit.
90% of deactivations are due to concessions -- packages lost after being (scanned &) delivered.
I think that is not right. At the post office, they can't fire us for that. If we have scanned it in the right place, then we are in the clear. I mean, we might get questioned about it, but we can't be blamed because a parcel grows legs after we leave it.
Doing UberEats in Tampa metro right now. It's just as bad. Too many drivers. I used to make $40 in 2-3 hours, now it's more like $15-20 in the same amount of time and # of trips. It's a lost cause. Plus this summer I expect even worse when college and high school students with their parents' cars doing their first jobs.
So many drivers come on UA-cam and brag about how much they are making, which makes other drivers jump in (more competition), and lets the companies know that they can/should pay less.
here in LA blocks are thrown in your face. I just choose the one that pays the most
Not happening here in LA anymore! I think it's saturated now.
Andddddddd, 2 years later, it’s still freezing. I’ve also been deactivated and reactivated for no reason.
Why did they deactivate you? I was thinking to sign up with Amazon flex
i need thes work please
Ive been getting 6 blocks or more per week. Flex just launched in my area. VA beach 👍
insight001 get it while u can
insight001 do you have to fight for shifts or are they always available in the app ? $54 or $72?
insight001 I just applied are you liking it so far im in va beach area
Do you have to go to Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton or other cities?
cnainmi yup we go all over.
my phone died !! it was on the charger too !!!
wow.... if you were my Uber driver, I'd always wonder during the drive when they allowed HOMELESS GUYS to get smart-phones! they require contracts, ya know!
Why doesn't Amazon leave the package deliveries to the usps
BECAUSE THIS IS AMERICA WE LIKE TO FUCK PEOPLE OVER FOR A FEW DOLLARS
+Jonah gomez They do leave it to us, and I have to deliver that shit. Amazon sucks so they'll never be able to handle it themselves. They can say all they want and build all the fuckin' warehouses they want. They would be dead without USPS.
If you don't like it, leave! Some people go to work making $500 - $700 a week driving 20 miles round trip with their own cars and insurance. If you get in an accident on your way to work, you deal with your shit. This should be your part time work not your way to getting Bill Gates money.
Amazon seller support sucks. Why hasn't anybody done a video on that bad boy?
Hi I just want to ask you how ❓ can I download the app
no name if you haven't already Google Amazon Flex and scroll to the bottom and highlight or tap Amazon Flex..
If you are doing this to make a lot of money ... Good luck... Funny how a lot of people are chasing money... Work for your bills and food ... Dont expect to get rich ... Thats not the pointbof living
I agree navigation is horrible. I am Dallas Tx market and use Amazon Flex as my main source of income.. I make like $450 a week.
Adam Salazar I make $600 a week. Its brand new in my area right now, so its super busy. I could actually make more but 2 a day is good for me.
AFTER GAS , TOLLS , OIL CHANGES YOU MAKE 22.39 A WEEK LOL ...GOOD LUCK HOPE YOU MAKE MORE MAN , AMAZON IS TURNING TO SHIT
Adam Salazar wow I make that with waitr
Yes the app is trash. I have a iPhone 7+ and it literally drains 3% every 5 min lol
Hi Paul, Have you ever receive an e-mail amazon flex about customer who says that didn't get theirs package delivered? If so, how you handle this situation? I just received an e-mail about it today, they just say the day(5/9), but, they dont explain about which neighbor, city, hours or more informations for me... try remember when its happened, if really happened, that sucks. have u got any experience about that ?
+Gab L yes happened several times. You are allowed a certain amount per month. My guess is 2-3 per month and you'll get deactivated
I think the app now allows you to take a pic when you deliver it
Gab L yea me too and I kno I did my summary is100%, now here comes some idiot about a package not being delivered !! No one to talk to but a automated email wtf!!! Flex tighten up
the app is so friggin wonky
It’s a no skill job ? What do you expect
Amazon Flex totally sucks
Sorry bro but these reasons are just excuses. I work about 40 hours a week with Amazon flex prime now on Redondo beach making 30$ on average and if ur not lazy and determine u get the blocks. So far I got nothing bad to say about Amazon flex, great support and help from them. Unlike uber, lyft or postmates they actually pay u for doing nothing at times
Yeah right. I've done this in Los Angeles and it's nothing more than a minimum wage job. Nice try!
All I know I that amazon flex are disrespectful, they use you and don't even train you or tell you how to succeed. Bad company to w work for.
They definitely don't train you and it is extremely confusing at first. By the time you figure out how things work, you quit because you then figure out the pay is shit for the actual number of hours you're away from home.
slacker
1 a week in pdx.....
robert armitage where is pdx?
Portland Oregon
robert armitage you picking up at st helens warehouse? I see blocks available everyday
Sounds like you are begging....
If u work ur ass off to come up or get a block and you still have to deliver? WTF
I don't want to work for a company where I have to beg or fight for something that should be the opposite. Amazon should be begging me if I work for them.
What is the world coming to😳
Work when u want. Hahaha.
More like work when they want. 🤔
Amazon flex treat drivers like shit
The.amazon app is suck ,,,I have the same problem,,,very confusing ,,back and for ,,waste too much time,,,, Not fun ,,,, 👎👎👎👎
lift and Uber drivers to the Airport have all been Women with really mean attitudes. It is like they think you are going to abuse them or something. You call for a full size transport and they show up with an onld cadalac that just won’t hold two weeks of lugage in the snow. Some won’t allow you to touch anything and some won’t life anything.
They all seem to have ups and downs. Hard to believe Uber is growing when there drivers are so lazy or bitter.
Sounds like they play musical shifts and if you want to play you still may pay.
God I wanna kiss you so badly
