Hey Luke, great video. Straight to the point, and accurate. Thanks. I work out of Eagan, and it's been a fantastic side job (vacation fund). Also, love the song.
Luke when did the Christmas rush start? Also as a Flex driver were competing against agencies sending in vans that take a few hundred packages a day each? Also how many reserved slots were you able to pick up and for how long?
Amazon Flex drivers: I'll show you how to get more blocks. I’ve being Amazon Flex driver for over 5 months now. The pay (average $25-28 hours with tips) for this kind of work is fair that I work 30-39 hours per week and make about $3500 a month. I am looking for a newer car so that I can work for UBER and LYFT as well. There are little reserved hours and it is a challenge getting blocks. I almost quit because I feel it is nonsense and wasting of time swiping phone screen to find block not even know what and when these blocks are released. I use a device called TAPTECH Auto Clicker (NOT SOFTWARE)to swipe and tap the phone screen to get blocks for me. It is working efficiently and effectively that search and accept block offers without my fingers on the phone. A bit of an advice ask for gate codes at your facility if there is any also just go straight to the leasing office for building apartments and if they also have lockers for packages

LOVE your positive attitude. I couldn't agree more with a comment in a prior video, basically saying working hard pays off and is worth it. I love the saying "Be the best at no matter what you do." Im considering doing this bcz I love driving and have a great sense of direction. My driving record on the other hand... not great. :/ Not sure if that is a factor. If you do answer questions, any idea how the opportunity is for flex drivers around seattle? I suspect they are swamped around here, we are a very Amazon-y Microsoft-y Boeing-y etc area! Anyway thanks for the videos and info I was looking for! Tell your wife she better be on her toes or you are mine! Lol, kidding she is a doll!!! SUB'd!!
What market are you in bro? Omg I agree with you on EVERYTHING. Doing this since our plant opened for about 6 months. We never have to wait to have our racks made, but there are certainly wait times just to get check in, and into the building. Apartments can be a blessing and a curse. I personally always leave them outside. I pretty much always ding-dong ditch, they don't send any "attended" deliveries with us.
Any advice on how to get past the yellow geographic area screen that comes up when they think you haven't arrived at the exact address but you actually are standing on the front porch?? I am sick of calling customer service and wasting time and being put in an awkward situation when the customer is waiting to take their package but you can't close out the stop. Is there a way to get past that screen without having to talk to an Amazon agent? It takes too damn long.
Two orders where SUPPOSED to be delivered today. They were on TWO DIFFERENT TRUCKS, one said Prime on the side. Neither made an attempt, one said no safe place to leave the package. They did not knock on the door to see if I was home, had been for about three hours. The second one in the Prime truck did a lap in the parking lot, one around the complex then said they could not gain access to the building. There are no locks on the hallway doors. Something like having to stop the truck, get out and actually make an attempt to deliver. I cancelled my Prime membership.
Did you ever get am email stating a customer didn't get their package if so did you start going back to the warehouse to customers who don't answer the door
Flex is great...only one small problem with it Compared to other delivery gigs, rideshare. The stop and go really beats up your car and brakes...way harder on your car or van than ... Passenger rides.
Yes, this job requires a reliable car. My mom had a 2016 Nissan Pathfinder and put about 50k miles on it doing this and the car had so many problems. Constant problems with electronics/ sensors/ transmission/ ect. Car had about 90k miles on it when she got rid of it.
Same at Tampa, St Pete and Orlando Amazon is just as disorganized. I have had to wait for over an hour 3 different times at 2 different DCs just to start loading packages and I haven't even been doing deliveries for a year yet. also the app navigation is pretty bad and traffic if you're driving during rush hour.

As a warehouse worker in the Illinois area we are now required to push carts outside to the flex drivers. Rain, snow we are pushing carts. So have a little sympathy for your warehouse workers please. The pavement is on a slant , where we have to push the carts out to drivers. Packages are falling off carts and is dangerous situation. Amazon just sprung this on us without any preparation. Any other fellow warehouse workers out there having problems pushing these carts outside to flex drivers?
I hateeeeee apartment complexes, especially those without elevators, when packages are sooo heavy and the packages needs to be delivered in 4th floor. Ugh.

Faith W. You can’t write off gas until you’ve driven 1,000 miles or more . Have done ✅ a plethora of research in regards to tax write offs for delivery drivers . I Just started driving with doordash about a month ago , downloaded Everlance (work mileage tracker ), and upgraded to premium (its $1 for doordash drivers for the year and $69 a year for non doordash drivers )
I was just looking into signing up for this and it's not worth it. I have a full size truck with a topper on it so I could carry a lot of packages, but my fuel expenses will be high compared to smaller vehicles. You should also take into consideration vehicle depreciation, and accelerated wear and expensive repairs coming sooner than later. Your mileage may vary. Using the federal mileage deduction as a check on my estimated fuel consumption and allowance for occasional repairs/maintenance. I figure that it costs $8-10/hr to operate my truck. Amazon currently says that you'll earn $18-25/hr doing flex deliveries. As an independent contractor you pay all expenses to get the job done. For me, using $10/hr to pay for my truck, I'm left with $8-15/hr. And this isn't counting the extra hour/day to getting to work and back home. Best case, I work an 8 our shift and spend an extra $8 in vehicle expenses. There goes another dollar an hour. Now we're at $7-14/hr take home after expenses. Worst case, at a 4 hour shift, we're at $6-13/hr. As an independent contractor willing to work on a 1099 basis you should never work for that cheap! Now think about taxes. I've worked on a 1099 basis for years as an independent subcontractor in the building trades so I can tell you a few things. I always did my own taxes, and schedule C with itemized deductions is not easy to fill out like a 1040 or 1040ez. So maybe you have to pay an accountant. My experience with small construction business taxes and due dilligence to find every possible deduction has been that I pay about 10% tax on revenue - cost of goods sold. You may have a lower tax/revenue ratio with Amazon flex, but I think a maximum of 10% tax on total revenue will be comparable. 10% of $18-25/hr is $1.80-2.50/hr. Now we're clearing a range of $4.20-10.50/hr. The last thing to think about is how accurate is that $18-25/hr range? I think Amazon would have no problem giving hopeful expectations for these positions. So maybe you average $18/hr in revenue. Ask yourself, am I willing to work for $4.20/hr after covering all my expenses? This includes a large tax bill. Remember when you used to get a $1,000 tax refund? Well if you do this full time and earn say $30,000 in revenue you're not getting a refund; you're getting a bill for $3,000. Anyway, I guess I could see somebody doing this once in a while to avoid having to go to a payday loan place, but doing this full time is not going to be a sustainable living.
its getting close to a year since i applied for flex and everytime i check the app it just keeps saying "we'll send you an email when there is availability in your area" :( i'm in LA
Sounds like normal delivery problems. I thought it would be worse 20 minute wait...no big. Apartments....yeah they are always a pain. Sounds good though.
And what does it shows? ID or anything? What have you attached with lanyard? I haven't hear of any requirements like that? Or your tips will be appreciated.
It's just a badge that says amazon flex on it, it's not a personal ID. Basically you wear it so that when you deliver, customers will know that you are with Amazon and not just a random person.
A few months ago I had an issue dropping of my packages at an apartment because each unite needed a security code in order to enter. And I had 30 to deliver! Luckily the lease office except all of them. The reason, someone had been stealing all of the resident's packages.
??wouldnt it b smart for Amazon to make doable sized amazon magnets to place on side of your car and shirts or some for ya people b looking crazy when u just pop up at they door with boxes 📦 📦📦📦 and shit like the b spooked 😱 😱 or some shit 💯💯💯😏😏😏🧐🧐🧐💯💯
You are not your own boss. You'll never be your own boss with this job. People who are their own bosses can set their own rates and pick their own customers. Amazon will never allow you to do that.
His comments are pretty much on the mark. It can be a little frustrating at the pickup warehouse because even though you are ready to go, there are people in front of you who seem to be moving backwards. I would be nice to have a little bit of training or at least some tips on how to load your vehicle so that deliveries can be made smoother. The number area coding is very helpful in setting up your load. Using the map feature on the App can also be handy in avoiding being zig zagged back and forth. You have control of which package you want to deliver next. There are some tricks and pointers which an experienced driver can present which would make it easier for new drivers who just beginning their jobs.

Nothing about driving Flex is stressful. It's the most laid back, be your own boss, side gig around. If it's adding stress to your life, you're doing it wrong. 😂😂😂
@@freebird7339 I'n not adding any stress at all... The only issue I have is not being able to find restaurant blocks near my home which sucks because I use to see them all the time. and it was convenient driving towards the waiting area.. Just recently I'm seeing those blocks again and I prefer to do restaurant deliveries than packaging because one it's less hassle in terms of getting in and out of ur car, secondly you're more likely to drive no more than +60 miles for that day plus you're making a little more $$ than packaging obv. bcuz of tips... One time I made 130$ (including tips) in 4 hours for just making 10-12 trips. I drove maybe 70+ miles that day but that was rare making that much and driving that many miles.. On average I make 90-110$$ driving no more than 60 miles... All I'm saying is that you can make more $$ in less amount of time even if it is laid back, be your own boss, side gig kind of job... Sometimes you don't get any calls and you still made 50-60$ depending on the pay and block. I also drive a 2001 Honda Civic which has great gas mileage and I'm only paying 30+ $ on a full tank so yeah you can imagine :)
I registered with Amazon Flex months ago and they haven't called me to this day at all and did registered again like a month ago and they haven't called me. Luke what advice can you give me in order for me to be called by Amazon Flex to start delivering packages?
Commercial buildings and apartment buildings don't seem to be kind to vendors or couriers. A building I worked at in Dallas seemed to be on a power trip targeted at vendors and couriers. It was pretty sadistic what they had to go through. And it was frustrating for me when trying to help the vendor/courier many times. I worked for the building's biggest tenant. If I had been a major executive at that tenant, I would have used that tenant's pull on the property management. Anyway, the leasing office where I live doesn't accept packages either. I find it disgusting how property owners squeeze more and more rent and other fees they invent out of their residents (here, $760 and up for 1-bedrooms, much worse in other parts of the country), yet can't or won't afford them a convenient courtesy such as accepting packages so they will be safe from thieves. Many landlords are greedy assholes. They want your money, but are not willing to work and earn it.
I would imagine that if you are using your personal vehicle for business, and get into an accident (even if it’s not your fault), you would be personally responsible for all damages. Be carful. Forbid if someone got hurt or worse.
This is why I stopped doing Flex. I got tired of getting apartment routes that have mostly NO parking and non-functioning front gates. It's also possible that you end up with 40 packages to 40 different apartments. The funny thing is Amazon expects you to finish all that in 3 hours.
Don't forget you have to pay for gas,car repairs, tickets if you get one, finding a legal parking spot if you deliver in downtown in the big City a 100 $ fine, if you get hurt carrying a package no workers compensation you're responsible for your medical bills, next you might get some phone call on your cell phone from angry person that you deliver to ..if you cant make a delivery office is closed you have to drive back to the Amazon warehouse wherever it is located,so many other small problems including getting paid...AMAZON IS VERY SMART THAT WHY THEY ARE MULTI BILLION DOLLARS COMPANY..
Video series is available right now, so I advise you to go this page: ki143.isrefer.com/go/video-series/PJQ/ and sign-up for their series. Spoiler alert: it’ll knock your socks off!
My plan is to do postmates before and after my blocks. So I'm always making money from 8am to 10 pm. I think I can make 200 a day after paying for gas.
Factoring in wear/tear and depreciation of your personal vehicle I'd say you're probably making minimum wage, possibly even less. Using your own vehicle for your job is not worth it at all.
@@Fullmetalseagul So you buy a car just to let it sit in your driveway? If you factored in all of the stress, time-consuming bullshit, and other wear/tear on your mind and body by working a career, you are making less than minimum wage at your job. Also, you have to keep working your job everyday to afford the bills you have accumulated from trying to get your position. I was a manager at an upscale athletic gym and it just about killed me. Rather wear out my car doing something I enjoy and delivering all of the random shit you "rich" people "need". Btw, my parents were accountants.... I know about the rich people and how they all live off credit... Heard we are in for another depression soon, so do what you love while you can
I like 8 hrs and 120 - 150 a day on Ubereats. (At least 100 and possibly 9 hrs on Mon- Tues) Lots of chilling then running. I must be crazy. I got a system and a area though. ....btw job?
M. Rico I don’t do this job anymore but I remember it being very hit or miss. Sometimes I’d be surprised at how great my tips were and other times I got next to nothing lol.
Jeremy I work for Amazon HR. We randomly accuse employees to see whether or not they have anger issues which could get in the way of our costumer-service based philosophy.
J P Google Amazon flex and it will bring you to the website. Flex.amazon.com or something like that. Itkk ask you to choose the area you want to deliver in and if it's unavailable, you just sign up for an email notification. I did this back in August last year, received an email yesterday that they need more drivers, and now I'm just waiting for my background check to be complete.

Zuri Mars food delivery with tips is good, but volume is way lower, along with overall pay. He said like 60 packages? food is one meal at a time, at most 2 from one restaurant with two drop offs, two different addresses.
Track your miles while doing this, its a tax write off cause you're having to use your car for work and you'll pay equal to or less than regular income tax, or you'll be paying out the ass. 15% payroll tax, 15% or higher depending on your income bracket.
Samm Vinesett Keep in mind that filing a return is income specific. If you are self-employed, you only have to file a return whenever your net earnings from self-employment exceed the threshold amounts set out by the IRS each year. Source: Intuit TurboTax
When you receive a 1099, it is reported to the IRS so you must file a return to match that amount. If you don't, you'll be getting a bill in the mail for the maximum taxes as they will not apply any deductions that you would've been able to claim if you had filed in the first place.
on 1099 you pay double social security because you are self employed. Employers normally pay half of your social security, when you are self employed you pay it all yourself. plan on about 30% of your income after deductions. So after you pay for taxes, gas, and wear and tear on you vehicle, you probably dont make much. Anytime you are 1099 you better be making a lot of money it's not like being an employee having taxes taken out. It's your responsibility to pay your taxes so like I said save about 30% of your profits for the IRS.

Gonna go out and try my first run today. Ive delivered food for a long time. This was helpful amd I hope this will be profitable for me
LOVE your positive attitude. SUB'd!!
Great video thx for sharing. I’m on it 4 months ago and I’m thinking about taxes. How much you pay last year?
Good to know...thanks
Will try this gig when I retire.
Thanks for info
Thanks from Egypt: )
Love the American Flag in the background . Top left. Pure gold.
Its ok to take back remaining delivery on the next day
I want to go to sleep after listening to this guy
Seriously.. 😴😴😴
Yep. Same.
Tyler Pickett I dingdong ditch and am unemployed
Any advice on how to get past the yellow geographic area screen that comes up when they think you haven't arrived at the exact address but you actually are standing on the front porch?? I am sick of calling customer service and wasting time and being put in an awkward situation when the customer is waiting to take their package but you can't close out the stop. Is there a way to get past that screen without having to talk to an Amazon agent? It takes too damn long.
Have you tried flexomatic to grab your blocks ? I heard it works pretty well but I am looking for people that use it to have there feedback! Thanks !
I'd hate to have packages stolen left in front of an apartment door. This is the only issue I'd have. This whole apartment delivery thing.
Why didn't you mention the income? This is the most important point.
nothing I made several other videos on income.
Thank you
Inspiring!
Same in Baltimore, I hate waiting for my routes, taking up my time like have something ready for us
BitesizeTiff you're tell em sista!!
You're funny, good content. Thks
Flex is great...only one small problem with it
Compared to other delivery gigs,rideshare.
Wouldn't be worst for your car doing Uber and Lift than with Amazon Flex?
Got ticketed for take back's apartment s no access. No unattended delivery, no access after 5pm. Given route at 6 pm to 930 pm no blocks now
Can you get the Lanyard at the warehouse?
Same at Tampa, St Pete and Orlando Amazon is just as disorganized. I have had to wait for over an hour 3 different times at 2 different DCs just to start loading packages and I haven't even been doing deliveries for a year yet. also the app navigation is pretty bad and traffic if you're driving during rush hour.

I’d like to share my Amazon Flex experience with you. If you want to earn more with Amazon Flex, this tool will help you spend less time of swiping/tapping phone screen while getting more blocks to maximize your earning opportunities. How much per day would you pay to someone to swipe the phone screen day and night constantly to get blocks for you? My investment was paid off in one day. (DO NOT RISK DEACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT by using auto click software because Amazon will detect it!!)
Ugh.
Dude Michael Weston lookalike , Burn Notice homie maybe do some double stunt work for em? Or a young Weston throwback? God Bless Man.
you will always find things you like and things you don't like wherever you work.
I did my first block tonight. I went right after I left work. I made $72 :)
No more like $62 or is gas free in your area?
Lewis Burton lol

Lewis Burton She can write off all her expenses.
What do you do if yourdeliveries take longer than what they are paying you for
I do uber and Lyft and also have access to do Amazon Flex but never have used it. I will try a block 😁
You have attitudes Bro😏
From someone who shops online a bit amazon has went up ebay is the cheapest 90% over any site it's your money
How much money do you think someone can make on average at this job?
its getting close to a year since i applied for flex and everytime i check the app it just keeps saying "we'll send you an email when there is availability in your area" :( i'm in LA
lol same, i checked today and it still says the same thing ;/
Sounds like normal delivery problems. I thought it would be worse 20 minute wait...no big. Apartments....yeah they are always a pain. Sounds good though.
where do i go to apply for this job this would be perfect do i just go to amazon .com or what do i do?
And what does it shows? ID or anything? What have you attached with lanyard? I haven't hear of any requirements like that? Or your tips will be appreciated.
It's just a badge that says amazon flex on it, it's not a personal ID. Basically you wear it so that when you deliver, customers will know that you are with
Amazon and not just a random person.
I was able to unload 9 packages at the leasing office yesterday. I almost wet myself.
SoggyFries omg! I’m going to do that!!!
A few months ago I had an issue dropping of my packages at an apartment because each unite needed a security code in order to enter. And I had 30 to deliver! Luckily the lease office except all of them. The reason, someone had been stealing all of the resident's packages.
Well I have always tipped on the app and in person and I don't feel like I'm throwing my money away. Nice review.
We love you!
You are a apt officer slacker huh. Do that sometimes myself. In middle of day no one is at home anyway.
I am gonna do mine soon. 😊
Did you started already? i want to do let me know please

why isnt he delivering those packages??

You are not your own boss. You'll never be your own boss with this job. People who are their own bosses can set their own rates and pick their own customers. Amazon will never allow you to do that.
Very true

Better be in a city hiring. Flex has been on hiring freeze in ATL for over a year
Did I miss the part about, how much $$$$$ U made the past yr. All I heard bla bla but No $$$
I have 3 separate videos discussing how much I made.
Restaurants are better imo... Its less stressful plus you get more chances of tips!
EnjoyLifeNow24 Probably just patience. I had to wait several months before I heard back. They also could already be full right now.
Wait for 15 to 20 minutes. I would be happy with that.
its a waste. not making any money
Houston is the same, unless you're living in the ghetto or 40+ miles outside you're paying 1k and up for a small 1 bedroom
what happens if a box full of ball bearings breaks open in your car, your fault.
How much did you make in 1 year of partime??
I would imagine that if you are using your personal vehicle for business, and get into an accident (even if it’s not your fault), you would be personally responsible for all damages. Be carful. Forbid if someone got hurt or worse.
How do I sign up?
That apartment situation sounds really annoying.
it is but your routes aren't always apartment complexes.
Speng Rob well its a good side job as long as you have a normal job

I had to ask also and then they were out. Asked again 2 weeks later and got it.

M. Rico I don’t do this job anymore but I remember it being very hit or miss. Sometimes I’d be surprised at how great my tips were and other times I got next to nothing lol.
I want to do this so bad! But I don't own a car yet and I'm still in High school. As soon as I get a car I'll be grinding on this job till night >:D

holy shit, incel much? chill man she was just complimenting the guy ffs

Started this job last week already got the email saying package wasnt delivered which it was very frustrating...
Jeremy Yeah I have had a few of those in my time as a flex driver as well. Keep your head up though, it’s likely not a big deal.
Jeremy I work for Amazon HR. We randomly accuse employees to see whether or not they have anger issues which could get in the way of our costumer-service based philosophy.
I can't seem to find info on how to get started for flex.Ihave an Amazon facility in my town in Massachusetts. Do you think I should start their.

Hey! If you don't mind me asking, how do the taxes work? Do you have to repay them at the end of the year or do they automatically take taxes out?
1099
