World naked gardening day? Shaun, you never fail to disappoint with unexpected comments. Don’t ever change! 😆 Showing my appreciation for who you are and what you represent.
I found your channel around 1,5 years ago and I have to say that you won my heart. There is a sweetness and rawness about you, you don't seem fake at all! I love how optimistic you are and how your videos have the most beautiful backgrounds! You have become my favourite plant channel and you deserve it. I hope you visit Europe too some day 😁
Yes I would like more videos like this. Enjoyed it. For me I prefer leaves that have unique patterns and colors not the usual white or yellow variegation.
Je persiste à vous écrire en français. J'aime votre chaîne et chaque fois j'apprends toujours quelque chose. Merci de transmettre cet amour des plantes. J'aime vos tatouages du système solaire. L'astronomie est ma deuxième passion après les plantes.
I agree that some plants don’t look good variegated when their leaf is already complex. I think crystalinum is beautiful as it is. Of course I wouldn’t say no if someone wanted to give me the variegated one!
Please do the sustainable collection video. I am a beginner and love that concept Edit: completely reasonable for you to demand people respect you as a person not object, even as a male.
The more i look at this new house of yours, the more I like it. No wonder you prefer to stay at home :) The composition of plants in background looks fabulous.
A bird pooped on them?! :D Unexpectedly hilarious, as you always are. Wow, the new background really shows you are into photograpy as well. Love the colors and the layers of depth with the nearest leaf hanging in the corner.
Plant preferences are very personal to the individual. For me, it all depends. I love both, depending. It’s not a cut and dry response to that question as it may be for someone else. Some take time to grow on me where others are an instant love or a flat out, no. I may change my mind down the road, in either direction. Sometimes I have one in my collection that I choose to swap for something else for a while to change things up. I tend to go where the wind takes me in that regard, and how I feel in the moment lol. A plant doesn’t have to be rare or intricate for me to love it either. All plants have a place either in my home or with someone else.
For the person with the grow light question: live where there is a lot less light so I have my albo, PPP and large form M. deliciosa with grow lights. I agree with you Sean that you probably can use regular LEDs but I didn’t really want to gamble with it. In the US, I like the GE brand LED grow lights because they are reliable (hard to predict with random Amazon stuff) but not overpriced (like soltech, other grow-light only brands). They are also a relatively comfortable white light temp for me and I sit next to them for good light when sewing sometimes. I have the PAR16 bulbs 1-2ft away from the plants in a normal light fixture. The PAR38 bulb is awesome and would need to be 3-4 ft away and so could cover more area with one bulb. However it is HEAVY and my cheap bendy light fixture could not handle it. I would go for the PAR38 if you can hang it like a spotlight. My plants have absolutely exploded in growth since I got those lights in, even though it is winter.
@@onlyplants Thabks, and thank you for taking the time to answer people’s questions in your video! It is the kind of info I struggled to find when starting out…actually burned the PPP putting it too close to that PAR38 at first.
Sean, I’m really enjoying your channel . I appreciate the introduction to your plants. Tacoma, Washington? I’m actually in Federal Way, WA. Since you are familiar with the weather, I’ll definitely be asking questions. Thank you!
You were discussing how you lost a large majority of your plants when you moved, specifically your Hoyas. I went through the same thing when I moved to a new home. For some reason, my Hoyas did not adjust well and slowly started dying one by one. I am still heartbroken because I lost some of my favorite plants. Looking forward to seeing you you get some new plants!!
Whoaaaa maybe we are on to something. Are hoyas just difficult in these moving situations? (Another group I lost are calatheas but I actually predicted/expected it)
I completely understand why you enjoy being single. When my husband of eight years wanted a divorce, I was completely shattered. I had solemnly given my vows in church, and stood by them. Now, five years later, I have come to understand how toxic my marriage actually was, and how much I had suffered by the hands of my then husband. He had been slowly crushing my soul from the minute we met. I'm still healing from those years (PTSD), and I am just enjoying getting to know myself again, and learning to love myself. People ask me about dating, and to be honest, it's the furthest thing from my mind. I feel so free! Maybe I'll love again someday, but for now, my love is reserved for myself, and the people who are good to me. I am not in search for a partner at any rate. I find joy, happiness, and love with my family, my friends, my pets, and my plants.
Im sorry to hear about your relationship. There are good ones and there are just as many bad ones. You come out of it stronger Im sure, also there must be some good times in there - hold on to those too. ❤️ forgiveness is beautiful.
I love your videos where you help me a lot with my plants. I would really love a video about the thai constellation monstera (propagation, care, fertiliser etc.) every thing about it.

@@onlyplants Hi Sean, thank you for the info. Too many "No phyto required" answers which I flag up to 'don't buy from them'. I've had far too much experience dealing with those ''businesses" to know better.
I would be very interested to know when your birthday is, just on the basis that you are so committed to you work and considering you are not interested in having a special person in your life
I have already been married. My husband passed away 4 years ago and I have no interest in dating. To much to do and not enough energy. I prefer Hoyas variegated or not. Variegated for my philodendron

@@onlyplants Hi Sean, thank you for the info. Too many "No phyto required" answers which I flag up to 'don't buy from them'. I've had far too much experience dealing with those ''businesses" to know better.
I would be very interested to know when your birthday is, just on the basis that you are so committed to you work and considering you are not interested in having a special person in your life
Im gemini on the cusp of cancer 😀
I have already been married. My husband passed away 4 years ago and I have no interest in dating. To much to do and not enough energy. I prefer Hoyas variegated or not. Variegated for my philodendron
Condolences to your husbands passing. Theres something blissful about being single and free too ❤️
I love your backgruond😍
Thank youu
❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
okay i have learnt something new other than plants. Omnivert. Hmm.. me too..
Haha yes… many people fall under this category without fully understanding it.
I'm too flower lover
🥰🥰
Didn’t know u had business in China..just curious do u speak or understand mandarin?
Yes Im fluent in written and spoken Mandarin. More so than my Bahasa Indonesia 😀
@@onlyplants wow didn’t know that..Haha cos most of my Indonesian Chinese friends know very little mandarin 😂
🍀🍀🍀🍀💚🍀🍀🍀🍀🤗
❤️❤️
The correct word that you were looking for was ambivert.
I feel like Im more omnivert because I experience the extremes of both sides… extreme isolation and extreme social behaviors… though I seek balance, hence Im not entirely comfortable when I going through the extremes.
You got groupies 😂
😅😅
Maybe some day you’ll find your life partner, someone who’ll knock your socks off and that’s all she wrote. ❄️💚🙃
lol everyones been saying that for decades…
Is your MBTI an ENFJ? >:D
I cant remember if it was F or T but you got the rest correct
@@onlyplants You seem quite F but you know yourself best! I'm ENTJ. But the mbti doesn't really have anything about stages of development for each personality types. in that sense, the Enneagram is better and deeper as a tool. you'll be able to recognise whether you're functioning unhealthily and what you should try to do for yourself to improve.
I come for the good lookin' plant daddy, stayed for the COMPREHENSIVE plant content ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you ❤️❤️
Yes! Would love for vids like this, it's very cozy n relaxing, also enjoying the vids of your house, I really adore your living space, it just looks so nice, the tidbits info about plants is also fun, it doesn't feel like 1hour video, but it's relaxing enough to play in the background while I'm cooking/cleaning/going to bed
😀😀
Babe wake up, new plant daddy video just dropped
😅
Hello, Sean. I never thought you're Indonesian until I saw you in several plant events. You're really my type tough. Anyway take care as always 🥰
