  • ======================== Summary ========================
    If you are a keyboard enthusiast, 2024 is going to be a great year for us. Corsair kicked off the season with the very excellent K65 Plus…and the forgettable K55. Last year, the ROG Azoth took the crown for an excellent, mass-produced customizable keyboard with many high-end features. The Azoth is easily the better keyboard, so in this video, we are going to focus on is what are the key differences between the Azoth and the K65 Plus. The Azoth is easily $50 to 100 more than the K65 Plus, but is the Azoth worth it?

    Excellent review, honest and systematic. You deserve more subscribers. I already subscribed. Question: i like clicky but cant decide between the new storm or the old blue switches on the Azoth? Any difference?

      @Sabidox- I'm with you on clicky switches. I did exchnage emails with an Asus PR representative and he said the Azoth's Storm Refined Clicky switches are the next generation proprietary Asus switches. If you are going to invest in an Azoth, I'd give these a try. I have the ROG NX Blue switches and they've held up well. The good thing about the Azoth keyboard is its entirely customizable, so you can change the switches anytime. In my other Azoth keyboard, I have Gateron Ink Black V2s, which is a heavier linear switch. Thanks for the kind comment, sub and engagement! Really appreciate it. 👍

    While I don't have the K65 Plus the Azoth to me is well worth it and all our gaming PCs are iCue systems for memory, AiO & fans because they in Corsair cases. Our Azoth has been in constant use for about 18 months now and while we have a small shine it's much less than any of our Logitech boards after only a few months. We have had WS Morandi in our Azoth for about 10 months now (ours originally had the blues). I'm currently going back and forth between my GEM80 and Neo65 on my PC. I have a Q1 Pro (with Cream Black pro and GMK WoB on my Mac Studio). If you haven't checked out the GEM80 I was very surprised at how nice it is. I have a Neo80, Rainey 75 and Luminkey 65 on order... I REALLY need to stop buying keyboards, lol. Last note, I recently reviewed a Aula K87 Pro, written, and was blown away at the sound and feel for the price which is around $70. Definitely might be worth checking out for one of your fantastic video reviews, great work as always! Love seeing your sub count continue to rise!
    Also - if you like heavier tactiles you should pick up some WS Heavy Tactile, 70gf bump then only 45g bottom out and very deep sounding while not being very expensive. I have them in my Neo65 and Bakeneko65 and plan to put them in the Neo80. I thought they would be too heavy to game on but so far they are good for that as well and have definitely become my all time favorite typing switch.

      @MarbsMusic LOL...I hear you on buying keyboards! I've got the Wooting HE on pre-order as part of the Founder's Edition, but I got a feeling that's going to be a longtime coming. I've heard good things about teh GEM80 and will take a look. Haven't heard about the Aula K87 Pro, but will check it out, too. I'm with you on heavier switches...I bang on my keyboards when hammering out the work emails and this translates to my gaming. The lighter linear swithces I find don't work for me when at work. Will check out the switches as well. Thanks again for input and encouragement...trying to improve my UA-cam video production one review at a time. 👍

    It’s hard to choose. Azoth reds went on sale recently for $160.
    Basically choosing between various extra features to include knobs/screen, gasket mount (Azoth), or factory screw in stabs (k65 plus). ICue vs armory crate is a topic as well lol.
    Nice video!

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten  2 місяці тому +2

      Whaaaa...?!? The Azoth NX Reds for US$160?!? That's a crazy good deal!!! Maybe Asus is gretting ready for an Azoth Deux? If I had to choose, even at $200 i.m.o., the Azoth is still the better keyboard. The stabs on the K65 Plus are solid, but I really appreciate the Azoth keycaps, RGB Glory, and the OLED screen is pure keyboard-nerd joy. Either way you go, both are great keyboards and its awesome that we don't have to sepnd $500 for a custom board anymmore. Thanks for the encouragement, too. Still working on my craft and getting better with each one! 👍

      I love the Azoth but I won't install armory crate which makes the oled unusable.

      @@eckz8659 yea, Armoury Crate is still rough. I haven't had Armoury Crate mess with my Corsair RGB, but it has taken a long time to get used to the user interface. iCue is fine, but do find it too basic. If I had to choose only one app for everything, G-Hub is still the best. Thanks for watching my content & engaging! 👍

      @Thebossreserve there are some really awesome keyboards out there; what is your price range? $100 range, I'd take a look at the Drunkdeer A75; $150 range, I'd highly recommend the Corsair K65+; $200+, Asus ROG Azoth is about the best mass market keyboard you can buy. Let me know if you have any other questions and good luck!

      @@mynusten Well, my friend, I was looking at a wooting, but I thought it was too small, so I was a bit lost because it is the only one with cutting-edge software with 100% functional rapid triggers, I don't think any current one comes close to it, I was shocked by the surprise , but it doesn't have rapid trigger.

      @@Thebossreserve I bought a Wooting 60HE and it tech is great, but I cannot live without the extra F keys, page up / down, etc. My son uses it as his main gaming keybaord. I do have my pre-order for the Wooting 80HE, but it won't arrive until late Summer 2024. Drunkdeer's adjustable switches work, but you do have to learn its web app. Wootility is superior for sure. Thanks for the engagement! Really appreciate it. 👍

    For me It was a hands down win for the Corsair because the Asus software is just garbage , when I tried the asus software for my Asus GPU it compleatly froze up my computer and messed windows up to the point I had to reinstall windows , shurly that was just a fluk right? No , no it was not , I tried the Asus ROG Azoth and the same thing happened again , no more Asus software for me and back to Corsair K65 Plus I went.

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten  2 місяці тому +1

      @DanielHanson343, yea, Daniel, I don't disagree that Armoury Crate is a heaping mess. It took me almost a year to get used to it, but I can finally stumble may way around the app. Fortunately for me, Armoury Crate doesn't crash my system. If Asus can dramtically improve the Armoury Crate app, my bet is that alone would sell a lot more keyboards. Right now, Armoury Crate has some well deserved bad branding. Thanks for watching my content and posting! Much appreciated. 👍

      Armory crate hijacked my g.skill ram and permanently ruined the RGB on two of the four sticks. I'll never install that malware again.
      Shame too because I preordered the Azoth and will never use it again.

      @@mynustenI have it installed on my PC, it's never had a problem so far, but it's good to know that it has a lite version, if there's one thing I hate and that RGB thing, hey, I disable everything, I prefer the non-RGB parts.

      @@Thebossreserve Armoury Crate works on my rig 90% of the time, but I do have the occassional error. The bigger challenge with Armoury Crate is its UX...takes a lot of time to learn.
