Random PC Shutdowns -- Is Corsair iCUE LINK Shutting Down Your PC?
For the past few weeks, I’ve been experiencing random PC shutdowns while gaming and this one perplexed me. I ran the gambit of updating my BIOS, GPU drivers, Chipset Drivers, reapplying thermal paste and reseating all my hardware. Nothing worked, so I next tackled iCue and I think I found the solution. If you run a Corsair AIO cooling system in your rig and are experiencing random PC shutdowns, keep on watching. Warning: DUE NOTE - If you have this alert, it will be at your own risk if you increase the temperature threshold or delete the alert. @corsair @CORSAIRHowTo #icue #corsair

AweKeys Copper Eagles -- Can You Game on Luxurious, Metal Keycaps?

In this video, we are going to take a turn down the road of artisan keycaps and take a look at Awekeys all metal keycaps. When Awekeys reached out to me last year to provide my impressions of their keycaps, I was very eager to see how these would perform on gaming keyboards that are jock’ed-out with doubleshot PBT plastic caps. And, to see if metal keycaps could work on switches that are more g...

      @nastyagablovska9300 if you are locked into the Logitech eco-system and don't need media keys, I would definitely recommend that G515. The G515 is a substantially better value and a better typing experience. If you are open to exploring other brands, I'd steer you to other companies like NuPhy or Keychron. Both companies are innovative and deliverying substantial value across a number of work & gaming keyboards. Hope this helps. 👍

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten День тому

      @nastyagablovska9300 Typing experience will always be linked to the keycaps, switches and internal sound materials. Neither the G515 or G915 are that great and are really overpriced. If you want a really good, all around keyboard for both work & gaming, I would check out Keycrhon. Keychron has endless options and once you narrow it down, you can check out a couple reviews. I haven't done any Keychron reviews, but I have used them in the past and they are quite good. NuPhy is very good, too, but I am not a fan of its cramped full-sized keyboard layout. Keychron as more traditional full-sized keybaords.

      @JakubixIsHere thanks for the input on magnets. I'll have to look into this as the only difference I can feel so far in-game is that some magnets are stronger, which gives the feeling of more gram pressure. @gavinwynn3438 Armoury Crate is a bit of an albatros and this may help. Armoury Crate allows gamers to set their periphreal lighting from 1) the Devices tab (3rd icon from the top) and Aura Sync (4th icon from the top; if installed) and my suspicion is, under Aura Sync, your ROG Scope II 96 is checked and controlled by Aura Sync. If you do choose Armoury Crate / Aura Sync to control all your devices lighting, you'll need to update this under the Windows System settings. To do so, 1) click on the Windows settings app (gear icon), 2) on the left-hand side, click on Personalization, 3) scroll to the middle and select Dynamic Lighting, 4) click on the down arrow next to Background Light Control and 5) drag Armoury Crate to the top. In the event you don't want to use Aura Sync to control all your devices lighting, just deselet your Scope II 96 in Aura Sync, go back to devices, select your keyboard and change your colors here. Great keyboard, btw. Hope the above helps. 👍

    Bummed about the switches. The whole point of a tactile switch is the tactility. Actuation force seems very low too. Double shot PBT would otherwise have seemed a worthy update. My G915 has some keys where the paint is starting to come off. Unfortunately, it looks as if the new caps can't be used with the old model. Think I might try the Keychron K5 Max at some point.

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten 11 днів тому

      @HeadPack the OG G915 keycaps were made of a lower quality ABS and my fonts wore-off quite quickly. I never thought about transfering the G915X keycaps over to the original model, but thanks for trying. At $229, that is about the only highlight for the 915X -- the doubleshot PBT keycaps. Logitech nailed the top coating, but curious if the keycaps will pass the test of time. I'm testing the NuPhy Air75 HE right now and, so far, its pretty good. Due note, though, the magnetic jade pro switches are pretty heavy (probably 60 gram range)...that's my preference. I know a lot of gamers prefer the very light, linear, speed switches. @mynusten I had the NX red, ten akko switches. Both showed double press on the same keys. Software versions didn't help. Being in wifi or wire mode was the same. Many speculated what's the issue. It came down to he on pcb. You can fix this by either setting delays next to filter keys in windows or installing key delay apps aka keyboard chatter blocker and such. But even if, it's a shame the kb won't work properly without it. Some have it some don't. Who knows. Maybe bad batch? Hey I saw your videos just at the right time for me to be in the market for keyboards. If I feel like I play mainly RTS, MOBA, and 4x games, should i still consider a HE keyboard? Or are their mechanical ones for similar prices but greater build/software quality outside of the actuation advantages

      Adding on, if I do go for HE, should I look at the Euphy Field75 or the DrunkDeerA75 Pro assuming both are in my budget? Do the extra buttons on the Euphy come into play relatively often for productivity tasks?

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten 18 днів тому

      @lordofthepies your question is literally on my video creation to do list. ✅ If you are mostly playing RTS, MOBA and 4x, it really comes down to whether or not your are playing PVP. If yes, then hall effect keyboards will most likely be helpful. It doesn’t take long to see how responsive these keyboards are in-game. That said, when I jump back into work, I plug in an old school, clicky blue, mechanical keyboard. For long term typing sessions (work, school, email, etc.), I find mechanical switches to be more pleasurable to type on. If you go HE, I’m still torn between NuPhy and Wooting. I love the 80HE RGB, but enjoy the build quality of the NuPhy Field 75HE. I think both are great and if you want to save a few bucks, go with NuPhy. @MFN073 I purchased two Azoth keyboards since its launch and neither keyboard had any issues with double typing. There can be production issues with any manufacturer, but double typing is more common with very light, linear switches as it takes very little pressure to actuate the switch. You are comparing a rubbedome keyboard with mechanical keyboards? While typing this, I am using a mechanical (RGB) keyboard (a "Skiller SGK20" 'Gaming Keyboard' from Sharkoon) and I think that mechanical keyboards are just not "doing" it in text editing. For typing, rubberdome keyboards are much better ("better" being purely personal, of course), and I am using several cheap (think Dell, or Acer, or "antique" PS2 keyboards(!!), or some nameless/cheap Chinese keyboard that came with this brandname computer that I bought earlier this year). The sound of mechanical keyboards does not bother me, and the RGB of keyboards is good at night, with the lights out. I have been using Logitech's "K740 Illuminated keyboard" (no RGB, just white) with my gaming PC (a Ryzen 7 5700X, 3070Ti, 16 GB DDR4-RAM) for many years. It is a rubberdome keyboard and it does the job just fine. My favourite online PC store has this Corsair keyboard available; I might buy it.

      @ibizenco great feedback and very much appreciated. The focus of my channel is to review and compare gaming keyboards, mice and software. The main reason I'm not a fan of the K55 Core RGB is its price point. Having gamed since the 80s, most membrane keyboards don't stand the test of time and if a gamer is stretched for cash, I wouldn't recommend this. As for the feel, 100% agree with you that this is a subjective feature. As for the K55's RGB...rock solid. I love the RGB disco lights on this board. I'm planning to test its liquid proofing over the holidays, as this is one feature mechanical gaming keybaords cannot provide. Really appreciate the comment and feedback. 👍
