I think everyone (who builds custom camps) has done it at least once. There's nothing more heartbreaking than to scrap a camp because you snapped stairs to stairs or floors. Glad you like the tutorials my friend!
Your tutorial videos have really helped my camp builds. I used to get so damn frustrated with upper floors all the time. A while back you mentioned using roofs instead so I started doing that as well. It has greatly reduced the amount of cursing involved during the building process. 😆
Roofs are where it's at!! They are so versatile, and easy to work with. I'm always happy when I convert someone to using roofs as more than roofs! Very happy to have been an influence for your builds!
I knew you can do a lot with catwalks but man some of these I didn't know. Once I get back into the swing of building I'll be trying out some of these to toss things up. Thank you sir!

Thanks Hippie! I'm glad builders are finding these tutorials to be useful. I especially appreciate all of the awesome comments you've been dropping. Really means a lot brother!
Great info. I mostly use catwalks for basic stuff like under pinnings. You showed a couple of things that I haven't seen before. I'm definitely going to play around with the catwalk stairs.
I've unfortunately had to build on private servers the last few days to help with lag. I normally build everything in Adventure Mode so people can watch me build if they prefer. Glad you learned a few things! Thank you for checking out the tutorial!
Another brilliant video Moonlight, im versed on the catwalk but there were a coulple things that sometines i forget about when building and its helpful to have a place to go to see if there is a better solution!
Hey Moonlight. Awesome vid. Thanks for the tips. 1 issue. I'm trying to do the bridge/floor merge, but instead of the floor getting flipped inward, it gets flipped outward. This changes the catwalk into a bridge betwwen the foundation and the bridge piece. Any thoughts on what the issue might be?
Try rotating the catwalk/bridge the other way and see if that works. You could also try to change the order of which you blueprint the items. If this things don't work, let me know and I'll try to recreate it this weekend and figure it out.
Very awesome and informative thank you my friend I recently got the new summer camp bundle that came with some cat walks my very first cat walks I’ll definitely put them to use love you and bunny ,TNG and the rest of the gang ❤
When making the freeplace walls, are u able to scrap the mat after without deleting the wall? Also I am loving your tutorials. I am learning so much! 😊
Yes, the mat only works as an anchor for the placement. It tricks the physics into thinking that the wall is snapped into position by the catwalk, and the small item (in this case, a mat) is the anchor point. Once the blueprinted walls have been placed, you can safely remove any other part of the blueprint that you would like. I'm so happy you're finding these tutorials to be helpful! Thank you for the kind response!
You're sounding a lot more confident on the mic now. Doing everyone a service with these tutorial videos, it's so hard to find up to date information with a quick search.

Good video! Hardest unsolved part for me is to use the upper floors instead of foundations above the shallow pond. When I use the foundation with a catwalk and then stair going down into water so i can build a foundation in the water but it isnt letting me as I get the stair can't be in the water message. Tried other tricks but no luck... Any trick for this one? Thanks!
Thanks for the techniques. Considering how important building is in the game, one would think Bethesda would make better build tools. One thing I would like to see is an option to snap vertically. Some things were easier/possible in Fallout 4. I want to have a good looking camp but I prefer to spend more time playing the game.
I completely get it. For me, the building in this game is a double-edged sword. On one side, I wish it were easier for everyone to do the tricks for creating amazing camps. On the other side, when someone takes the time to learn am the silly little building tricks, they can create something that is super unique and special.
I'm trying to get a little more into building, what are some ways to use the merged foundations? I swear I struggle to be creative, but if I were to try to use them I can't place walls without there being a gap, do you have to have the abandoned mine set to work around that and be able to merge your walls?
Yes on the Abandoned Mine set fir parallel full walls, howeverif you're going perpendicularto the wall instead of parallel, you can use a greenhouse wall. If you're using half walls instead of full walls, you can use the new slant wall trick I made a tutorial on recenly to merge walls. As for the foundations, you can use that use them to make front porches, or just change the shape of your builds to make it unique.
How do I get that flame thrower thing? I started playing 76 recently and would love to attempt some, if not most, of your blueprint creations for future camps.
@@MoonlightCowboyGaming awesome! I will definitely do that. On another note, can my character buy the plan for the Enclave medallion or is that also a reward from a quest? Keep these awesome how to's coming. 😁
