I currently produce content for the dystopian world of Fallout 76. Specifically housing (C.A.M.P.) videos. I may not be the best Fallout 76 builder in the United States, or even the state of Florida. But I am absolutely certain that I am the best in my apartment building on beachside in the greater Ormond Beach area. And no one can take that away from me. (Unless someone moves here that is better, in which case I would then be the second-best builder in the apartment building.)

Fallout 76 Camp Build | Overflow Falls | Clean // Modern // Waterfall // Pre-Existing Structure
This is my first time attempting a build at this location. Must of the builds I've seen here are on the ground, so I decided to build something that integrated into the unique pipe setup. This is not terribly hard to do. If you need instruction on how to place your camp device in the sky, see my tutorial (link below).

This is a good to how I build underground. I have heard several say that it will get you banned. So I did a underground build recently to help builders feel more comfortable with the process. I have built underground in the past with no issues, so this is more to help prive that is safe to do so. For those who feel that this should be a bannable offense, please feel free to report me. While you...

Tutorial on ways I prefer to build underground is linked below. I have been hearing a ton of comments and concerns about building underground. People in social media have said that you can/will get banned for building underground. So, I built a camp underground. Although it was tough to film due to a lack of freecam, it's one of my favorite types of builds to have placed for people to visit. I ...

I'm on xbox, how do you sink into the floor though? Might be obvious but i can't see it lol also can you build into rock faces?
You sink into the floor by interacting with the item that you have placed that is sticking up from below ground. For example, once I merged the shower, I interacted with it to get below the ground. And if the rocks are below ground, they do not usually have collision. So yes, you can build into them if they are under the surface.
@MoonlightCowboyGaming That's awesome! Thank you my friend ❤️
It's giving New York type vibes where you see like artist spaces set up in old factories and whatnot. I like it alot!
Much appreciated Fluff! This is one of those builds where I let the pre-existing location dictate how the build turned out. Those pipes are really beautiful, and I couldn't agree more with your assessment.
Are you putting it in the top 5 niw that you're not judging?
Now that I'm no longer a judge for the Top 5, I plan on submitting at least semi-regularly. This camp has been submitted! We shall see how it does. There are so many great builders now, it's hard to guess anymore LOL!
I know that's right some stiff competition out there.
I can imagine 10% of your budget in that bench ladder too. 😂 totally worth it though! Great work as always, Moonlight.
You're probably very close on that. 10% would be 50, and it felt like close to that when stacking them LOL!
Moonlight does it again. Your the f-ing man bro. I’m still trying to recreate the one on the railway and now I’m gonna have to try this one 👍👍
This one was fun once I worked out the physics. It's also easier than the ones on the Monorail Elevator, as long as you're good with rug glitching. Glad you like it!
Awesome Moonlight, you took it to a whole new level with this one bud! Phenomenal!
Thanks mate! It was a real PITA to build.
What platform are you in? Your blue atomic wall light looks like it did before the graphic update. My atomic wall has purple glow to it.
I'm on PS. I often have unreleased builds. I keep a buffer of builds so that I don't get burned out. This build was completed about a month or so ago. I currently have 12 unreleased videos. 6 of which are camp showcases.
@@MoonlightCowboyGaming Ok, that makes sense. I was worried Bethesda was rolling back the graphical update or putting out a new one.
The large pipes fit harmoniously into the house, that was incredible! And the "Elden Ring" style ladder was original!
I really love the look of this pipes as well. They really make the build pop. I added glass walls on the bottom of the pipes as well for additional lighting and texture. I'm very happy you like it!
I couldn't believe that the camp module went down here, i did a camp ages ago but didnt like it much, might have another go! This is superb Moonlight, as always the attention to detail is top notch but for me the stairs down to the boat and dock area was the best bit!
The rug glitching was a pain, but totally worth it to build here. Getting the walls to go into the pipes was the hardest part, but once I got that to work the rest of it was fairly straightforward. Thrilled that you like this one Dazz!
Another build where I say "I didn't know you could build there!" - amazing, MC
Yes, although it takes some rug glitching to make it work. Still, it's very much worth it!
Holey Macaroni... well, i won't even ask "how" anymore, because, obviously, because Moonlight Cowboy. I'm impressed you managed to clip through these pipes, and that ladder... as someone said before, i don't want to climb that one up. 😅 Where did you put the camp module for this to work? That ladder is probably spanning the whole buildable range. Also, how did you get those reeds on top of the roof? I only managed to do that once, but I cannot replicate that!!!
Thanks for the love my friend! I rug gliched my camp device to get as close as I could to the mudway point between the water and the structure. As for the reeds, there is a set that used to allow you to place them anywhere until a very recent update. If you purchased them, they are in the same collective category as the roses. They are called Cattail Bush. I hope they allow them to be placed anywhere again.
@@MoonlightCowboyGaming Oh, i have those bushes, i just wasn't able to put them down on the roof. But it's good to know that they changed that, so it's not me being stupid. 😅 Thanks for the info!
This is incredible well done buddy 👍🏻😊
Really appreciate it mate!
Another home run! Can't wait for the tutorial on this one!!❤
Thanks my friend! Hopefully people will find the tutorial easy enough to give it a go. The only thing holding some back will be the rug glitching. But it's a great spot!
That ladder is daunting! I'd hate to bring up groceries!!! Amazing build; I love what you have done with the place!
No doubt! Groceries would be a bit of a challenge, but that's what Kroger and Instacart are for LOL!
excellent camp! I had no idea you could even build here!
You can buy it does require rug glitching. Glad you like it!
I kid you not, I just started a build at this exact location!!! Now...mine pales in comparison...this is awesome! Bravo, sir!!!
I'd love to see what you build here! This is a great spot. Great minds think alike!
Omg 😱 have no word .. it's incredible and it fits perfectly with the structure.. it's beyond amazing cowboy 🤠 just wow 😳
I appreciate that, I was really happy with how it turned out! 🥰
Looks amazing!!! 😮
Thanks a million, glad you like it!
Did you figure all these building techniques on your own? That's unbelievable!
Some yes, some no.
If the rug under the wall breaks the seal between wall and foundation and the wall is sitting on the rug and you can place the rug anywhere...what is the purpose of the catwalk? I have seen this trick on many videos and no one explains the "why" of it.
For ease of response, I'm going to copy and paste this answer into both comment responses, because the answer is the same for both. The reason for the catwalks and/or vines is because the wall needs to be connected to something that isn't a wall or floor for the purposes of blueprinting. Think of it like a plug. Most plugs have two prongs and a ground. So most wall blueprints require two connecting items and a ground item. That item could be nearly any decor item. Once the three items are blueprinted, the "ground item" on the blueprint then becomes the anchor point of the blueprint. Because of the structural way that catwalks and vines snap to walls, they are perfect for this purpose. You can do a similar blueprint using two connected stairposts and a ground item. The reason for the mat under the wall is that it works twofold. One, it's the "ground item" of the blueprint. Two, it breaks the connection between the wall and foundation, eliminating any placement errors. In summary, here's the plug recipe: Prong 1 = Wall Prong 2 = Vines or Catwalks Ground = Anything except an item that must be snapped to another item in order to be placed.
Forgive my complete lack of knowledge. I am just running across some of your videos for the first time. I am in no way ever going to actually try this technique...I get frustrated just trying to do regular floors never mind something like this. However, I have to ask...What was the purpose of the vines? you went through crazy trouble to add them, then go through more trouble to remove them...
For ease of response, I'm going to copy and paste this answer into both comment responses, because the answer is the same for both. Everytime I do the wall trick to put wallpapers on both sides. Having trouble 😔
The wallpaper doesn't always stay on the walls since the recent update.
@@MoonlightCowboyGaming I found another wall glitch, that seems to work fine. Will wait till later in the morning to see if it sticks. Found out a barn door glitch that seemed to do the trick.
Nice! As usual great another build Moonlight. I especially like the cabinet/sink/apple-dunk merge, because it’s probably the only part I might actually be able to reproduce😂👍 Your ‘showcase’ vids are always edited in a smooth & easy to watch style. If you say free-cam was tough underground here, I believe you -but you still make it look like a walk in the park ;)
Thanks Lisa! 🥰 I made this one to be a bit easier than some of my other builds so that people may be able to take some of the ideas here and make it their own. Happy you found some inspiration in this one!
@@MoonlightCowboyGaming 😊👍
I love seeing this, I really like building underground but I only use it to place items or do walls that sticks up through a foundation etc. Also your little jokes throughout the video and the laugh at the cooking station. Golden 😂
I really try and add some extra fun to some of my longer videos. Otherwise I feel that I lose people in the rhetoric. Must of my underground building is fine for the same reason as you. But every so often, I like to give it a go. Thanks for stopping by to check out my little slice of FO76 building. 🥰
@ I’d love to try doing a camp underground myself one day and I learned some new useful tricks from you 🥰
This is cozy. And the interior is perfection as usual 💞
Thank you Ruby! This one was a bit on the basic side for me. I wanted to make something that other people could streaky build with some basic knowledge, or at the very least find some inspiration here.
@ I don’t think anything is basic with you haha. And love a good decorated camp 💞
Minimize your chances for getting banned for building under the map, some extra tips: 1. Like Moonlight Cowboy mentions, don't place any resource collectors or plants on farmable dirt tiles underground. 2. Place your camp far away from major traffic points/popular camp spots. 3. Remove entry point (symptomatic, alien pod, bass, anything that looks like possible trap-camp entrance) when you leave. Or hide it under some blanket/monument. 4. Don't join public teams when you build. 5. Hide your camp location icon on the global map. 6. Don't submit underground camps into "Best Builds". 7. Feel extra safe by building underground camp within own shelter. 8. Don't place allies, turrets or anything that might explicitly highlight your username on the collected footage/screenshots while building underground. 9. Don't place vending machines underground. Sounds like an overkill? Might be, but 20 reports is all it takes to get your account erased, especially with new Zenimax terms of service at play. And there are always people happy to report you for "harassment" out of boredom/jealousy/interference with their camp location. What's even worse, Beth's support agents sometimes are pretty trigger happy and might not have any desire to dive into details after certain report count is reached. The less accusation griefers might accumulate against your camp, the better your chances to glide through the ongoing dispute you might not even know about. Over the course of 4 years, none of my camps were harmed, yet. But friends building in the sky above Whitesprings and nearby that train station were not as lucky. As someone who enjoys building exclusively underground, I wish Bethesda would announce this option as officially allowed, as long as certain terms and conditions are met. Especially because submitted underground/merge builds are frequently leading on their Discord contests. Cowboy, you are always an inspiration and a great teacher. Take care and wish you well!
Thank you for all this additional context. Very valid points and good advice here. Pinning this to the top.
So the single most important reason I wanted to try to build underground is apparently your most important thing to not do...lol. I simply wanted to hide the obnoxious resource items so I could keep the above ground build looking clean and immersive. :(
There are some workarounds to tone down those obnoxious crops: 1. Blend crops with landscape and camp surroundings. Keep them scattered around. Looks okay, but bad for farming efficiency. Works well if one needs to have a huge variety of flora or occasionally needs to cook intricate recipes. 2. Keep as few crops as possible and go wild with crafting turbofert grenades. It takes nuclear material and fertilizer to craft. Hunting radstags/various animals with plasmacaster and butcher's bounty perk is surely a way to seamlessly stack up on resources for ramping up mass turbofert production and getting loaded on crops without risking account security. 3. Having another quick-shift farm-camp nearby your main camp might also work. When your main camp moves, you can change your farm location as well. All those crops will be safely stored within the build budget. 4. Consider growing your in-game plants on farmable dirt tiles in the attic. 100% legal option, while still keeps the grass out of sight. As far as I'm aware, the issue with resources is not about greenery messing up with server/netcode. Core reason for getting banned is a pile of reports from griefers.
@@andrzejkostyuk Thanks for the response. My gripe isn't with the crops, they actually fit my style fine. I have a bit of a rundown farm house vibe that fits in with the surroundings. I just don't like some of the other stuff that looks all futuristic and out of place to me.
And a couple of extra notes regarding "building underground within shelter": 1. Building underground and dropmerging stuff within private shelter is ~x5 times more tricky than on public world, yet it works. Within "Abandoned mine" - 100%, tested multiple times. 2. Don't hesitate to place your pressure plate high on thin air. The higher you place it, the easier it will get to dropmerge your <foundational-rug with symptomatic/stasis chamber>. 3. Use <vault welcome mat> as an anchor for your dropmerge entry group. 3. Lightbox/Worldbox underneath private shelter is pitch black. 4. Object-collision with the ground in private world is very unforgiving. Plus you don't have a camp module to lift stuff up. You may have to hover over 30% of shelter space to finally see where your entry group sinks well. 5. Objects (symptomatic, alien stasis pod) must be sunk deeply and thoroughly. Otherwise the ground itself will be an indicator for "furniture entry blocked". 6. "Foundation, stair-drop and bass" almost never works for building underground in shelters. 7. Antique punch bag is also a good candidate for entry group. 8. There are some other dropmerging nuances that tend to work differently in shelters. 9. Stair Post foundation and Moonlight Cowboy's frequent emphasis on using roofs instead of floors, on certain occasions, go from "optional" to "mandatory" while building underground camp within private shelter. Without these tricks, entire endeavor would probably halt. 10. Plenty of stairs can be placed with no extra foundations within shelter's underground limbo once you've dug deep enough. 11. If one might be somewhat prone to seizures or diagnosed accordingly, please don't turn on pip-boy light within private shelter limbo. GPU fry goes much harder than gauss minigun splash.
Very nice tutorial Moonlight! Holy Atoms batman! Lol Have a great day bud.
Much obliged my friend 🥰
Wow, that's great.
Thanks buddy, I really appreciate it.
Helpful as always moon☺
Thanks Akiras!!
Love it! Nice location! 🩷🩷
Thank you SB!!
It's hard to imagine this is all underground! I watched the tutorial first which makes this video make more sense! Excellent work and some lovely unique decor like the bedside lamps and the sink!
Thanks mate! This books didn't age as well as some of my others. It's still a good build, but it sat for too long lol!
how do i get catwalks?
Either wait for them to come back to the Atom Shop, or put in a Bethesda Support ticket for the Shelter Catwalk Bundle.
Awesome tutorial. I've been building underground all over the map since 2019. The building in Charleston is huge but a flickering headache like you said. The building near Welch Station is one of my camps for the reason you stated. The only other building I know of that doesn't flicker while breaking into it is the small cabin with the dog at the very bottom of the Skyline Valley near Milepost Zero. What other locations like these two have little to no flickering? Been looking for others for a long time with no luck.
I think there is another one somewhere. I remember there being at least two before Skyline Valley, but then again I can't confirm, so you very well could be right. Maybe one of these days when i have some free time I'll join the search. Thanks for the awesome feedback mate!
Building underground is my favorite thing to do, and you kilt this. Filming this had to suck bad. Lol Did you outdo yourself? Lol😂 Funny thing is, wherever this is, you absolutely kilt it. I had to watch twice before I realized you were really underground. Lol
I'm not sure if I outdid myself, but I'm happy with how it came out given the context of the video. I really appreciate the warm feedback my friend.
A kilt is a highland skirt 😂
Great video Moonlight, super helpful, I don't like building structures underground but use it to make a "floor" to raise up decorations etc(like the little bridge in your Solitary Bridge camp) I'm sorry to see you step away from the top5 but as a judge but I hope that it means I get to see camps from you and more great videos like this!
I rarely build an entire camp underground, but I usually go underground for the exact same reasons. As for the judging, I never intended it to be long-term. I'm happy the transition went well, and I have the utmost respect for Gassy and the team. But with a full slate of projects in the horizon is hard to give the Top 5 the attention it deserves. Thanks for everything my friend!
Very awesome buddy ❤👏🏻
Thank you very much my friend!
Loving it ❤ beautifully executed.. love the exterior wall with the wines it gives it a more immersive vibe I find... Another amazing build cowboy 🤠
Thanks Hippie, this one didn't age gracefully. But I still really like how it came out.
I've been dabbling a bit underground, but I had a couple lingering questions. This definitely cleared them up! Nice tutorial 😊
That's great to hear, thank you BMA!
Super helpful! I've always been nervous doing this, getting things stuck, but I may just give it a go! Thank you as always!
Glad to be of assistance my good friend.
As always, amazing video! Your techniques are amazing!! Who Dat!? 😎🤙
Who Dat!! Geaux Saints! Thanks for checking it out!
Im sure you know this moonlight but for those that are first trying this. Do 2 rugs when you do the pressure plate part with your shower or symptomatic. It'll give you a "floor" to stand on while you are building your underground level. I've died to many times not doing that lol
The concept makes sense but I've never thought to try it! Great idea, thank you for sharing this, I'll definitely give it a go.
@@MoonlightCowboyGaming Most of the time it works but I think the rug "catches" some times.
It was an interesting tutorial, but I avoid visiting underground camps! Traps... traps everywhere! 😛
LOL I don't blame you. I still visit underground builds. Usually if the camp is underground, there is a chance the build could be good. Or a trap. Either way, YOLO LOL!
Very interesting 🤔 never tried it so far but it sure is really cool 😎 thanks for all the information cowboy 🤠
The pleasure is all mine my friend!
Ive got the new sets and a lot of merging techniques work. However since this vid not sure if these tricks work as can put angle walls down but cant turn the walls into half walls which is frustrating.
The trick now only works for the Blue Ridge set. It used to work for the Fort Fortress set, but it was patched recently. The Blue Ridge set still works.
