Really glad you’re releasing more tutorials. Now I can skip to process where I try to do something you did with your camp, struggle with it for 8 hours, go to bed in shame, then figure it out randomly while I’m doing a starter in a 96 F-150 the next day at work, and hope I remember it till I get home.
@@MoonlightCowboyGaming unfortunately more reality than analogy 😂 love the videos man. You’re probably the best builder out there right now so it’s cool to get to learn from ya
I've been camp building for like 2 years now and I cannot believe I didn't know about the first trick in the video lol. So much frustration would have been avoided - thanks for sharing this!
Great tutorial MC!! That’s first trick with placing foundations in hard to place spots is a winner for me!! Didn’t even know that & thats gonna help me out massively… Cheers buddy 😁👍🏻
My pleasure! Alex showed that to me a while ago. It's a very handy trick. I think back to an of the builds I gave up on because I couldn't snap a foundation lol! Glad you enjoyed it Milney!
OK so i just learned 7 new things!! Great video moonlight your delivery and format is really good and more importantly simple to follow, which is key to a good tutorial.
I'm glad you found the video to be impactful Dazz! I'm learning that the building community as a collective doesn't know as much as I thought. Everyone knows some things, but very few know most things. I'm going to work to get the information out there for everyone. Thanks for taking a gander!
Thank you! I only knew that we could make things go upwards with the c.a.m.p. and i love that wind chime lamp, it's such a simple thing but it can change a camp in a big way.
Awesome. I really only knew about the most basic... to separate items. Have you played around with the shootable targets, such as the tin can or golf tee? I never liked how when items are destroyed with a flamethrower, or spike trap, that they're still "there" when trying to stack a new item on top. Using the shootable target, once shot, the item ontop is just "gone". You can then put anything overtop, foundations, prefabs, defence or floor items etc... as if nothing was there. Repair the tin can, and bam, theres your merged items. I really like it to get tighter junk walls into prefabs like the seedy shed, and having it clip through the prefabs foundation as well.
I love the shooting targets for that exact reason. I didn't make a tutorial about it because I'm pretty sure it's been done before. But yeah, that's definitely one that I keep in my little bag of tricks! I'm glad you found my tutorial helpful!
Thanks so much for your videos, the floor foundations trick with the camp module is new to me. Thanks I needed that. I use to buoda a symptomatic, go under the ground and place it while glitching through the map
I either use the stairs/bass chair trick or the outdoor shower (works the same as the symptomatic, but smaller diameter) to get underground. I'm working on a tutorial for building underground as we speak! Thank you for taking the time to check out the content mate!
Don't forget, the C.A.M.P. device can also be used to help merge items to the chessboard display as well. It's a royal pain, but saves you a poker chip, LOL!
Yup game changer for me, I didn't know about most of the tips shown, and that first one is so sweet, so many times ive wanted just one floor to fit and it wouldn't go blue. Thank you loads for sharing this x ♥
I’ve spent weeks trying to make my boulders float without having floor mats under them hidden beneath the map. you just made a floating island build I’ve been working on possible, thank you so much, I’d pretty much lost hope on ever completing it
Awesome tutorial! I drive myself insane for hours at a time trying to figure out what items get support or need support from other items. And by the next time i want to do the same thing i have forgotten, and the vicous cycle starts again lol. This will save me tons of time, especially when building floating prefabs or merging them through terrain. Most of the new prefabs that have been added in the last year or so have extremely small hit boxes. So small, in fact, that i somehow manage to get them stuck up in trees or halfway up the side of a cliff almost everytime I use them 🤦♂️
MC, wow, I had no idea about most of these tips! That one about placing the module on the edge of a floor piece to assist another one to fit in next to it could be very useful indeed. Thank you for continuing to share your cool tips, dude!
I'm thrilled that you found this info helpful. I was worried that everyone already knew all these tricks and I was just wasting everyone's time. Thank you so much!
I'm attempting to share everything I know with the community (so long as it doesn't step on any toes with other content creators). Thank you for stopping by to take a look!!
Glad to share! Alex P was the one who showed me a while back. Not sure if he is the originator, but I give him full credit. When he first showed me, I immediately flashed back to all of the camps I scrapped because I didn't know about it LOL! Thanks Reika!!
Sure you will! I've had my channel for 5 years. I didn't start getting good until maybe 2-3 years ago. Back then, there was a culture of gatekeeping techniques. Now, the floodgates are open, and (almost) everyone is sharing what they know. It just takes patience and practice. But anyone can do what I can do if they apply themselves.
Cool. But is this with a pc or console? With my PC I can't move my camp device at all. It is greyed out. My camp is fully built out, maybe 10 percent storage to go.
@@seanpelletier Ahhhh I see. If it's a terrain issue, I'll have to find a workaround, if there is one. I'll play around with it this weekend and see what I come up with. Sorry for the confusion mate!
I have a question. Hopefully someone can help me. I play on pc, using a wired xbox controller. I can not for the life of me get stuff to merge down into anything. I know peeps use controllers and merge stuff. Is there a specific technique you controller players use for this? Please forgive my noobness 🙏

@MoonlightCowboyGaming ok thank you I'll try this! I thought you had to move the items with your movement stick or something... thanks for explaining this!
