    Great Video Review. I enjoyed this review of the Suzuki Ignis but I agree with about some of the design as I don't like the console and the Sat Nav. Maybe the next generation Ignis might get many Improvements

    Love this car !..every other car on the roads looks pretty much the same..like a kid has drawn it..The Ignis is genius..whose bothered about top speeds ..you cant go that fast anyway..and it has a cd player !

    I am with you on the back. I don't like it either compared to the rest of the car. I think it is the lights. If they had put funky rear light clusters on it would have looked superb! the front with it's Zorro mask and LED lights looks great.

    Wish you'd shown the dashboard rear seats & boot.

    Great review. I think you've hit the nail on the automotive head. The worst thing any manufacturer can do is to compete by copying, but rather they need to compete by providing something which offers a radically different solution to the same problem - in this case, offering a small car with a small footprint which is easy to drive - and in my case, park on street. I have a Fiat, but I am looking for a roomier car, and something like this fits the bill. The thing that puts me off this car is its poor safety rating. I've been in one and it felt flimsy, to be honest, whereas a Polo - or even a Panda, feels more solid.

      Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed it. It is a very different little machine - either the looks work or they don't. Safety rating isn't brilliant, but just try one and see what you think.

      The 3 star ECAP rating for the Ignis would probably be 5 stars if the SZ5 model being driven here had been tested, which comes loaded with autonomous emergency braking and lane departure system. The SZ5 model starts at £13,849 (April 2019) for which the car looks terrific value.

    Uh good sir i'd like to make an adjustment: the 2wd non hybrid ignis from 2019 weighs 805kg not 850kg... that's quite the oversight sir, i'm getting one here in Holland and it's registered tax weight is 805kg..

    • @stijnVDA1994

      And the hybrid actually was available in Holland with an automatic option. The 4wd version is only available in manual everywhere it was originally offered

    Honda used to have the CRZ hybrid w/manual gearbox. The car was rather a dog.

    Not Fiat 500 - it's more an updated Citroen 2CV.

    This car is made for india, where people do not care about safety or useful features and just want 4 wheels that can move.

    • @kishkindhaa
      @kishkindhaa 6 років тому +3

      Not entirely sure about that. But from what I have read, the one made in India has the same manufacturing process as anywhere else and uses the same high-tensile steel of the Heartect platform. Passive safety includes standard 2 SRS airbags in the front, EBD and ABS but misses out on the curtains and all the active safety systems like lane departure warning and autonomous braking. The engine uses 1 less injector per cylinder producing only 82bhp compared to 89bhp from the European engine. That said, the one made in India gets only 15 inch 'alloy' wheels compared to 16 inches in other markets. The Indian made Suzuki Ignis is exported to South Africa and other Asian neighbouring countries and I am sure that peope lliving in those countries will want more than '4 wheels that can move'. :D

      Apologies for including EBD and ABS in passive safety. They form part in active safety.

      The ones maruti builds and sells in india are very different from those they export to other countries. The materials and build quality are better and there are more safety kit even in base models.

    Too much repetitious waffle and poor interior camera work. Got bored watching this.
