man watching that 6 cycle clear on jingliu hurts me so much cause that's what i also experience. Hoyo really need to stop with these HP increases and buff older units for them to keep up
I was 1% boss HP away from a 2 cycle clear with E0S2 Jingliu, on a quite mid 4pc ice build. sadly it required Robin and Sparkle _both_ E2S1. at least it was nice to see the ol girl do some damage.
I think Hoyo could/should give character something like the modules in Arknights. It's a good way to help characters keep up with the meta or to just be updated. Like how every unit nowadays with a stack system has a way to avoid their cap, meanwhile Himeko still can only have at most 3 stacks for her FUA
I really don't like what they're doing with powercreep in HSR, it feels like a replay of powercreep in HI3 when they clearly know how to (not subvert but) slow it down like Genshin. There are enough archetypes & enemy diversity to make sidegrade characters, fill niches, and even make 5 star variants of 4 stars; such as team archetypes (dot, superbreak, hypercarry etc); element types (lightning, imaginary etc); and paths/roles (harmony, sustain, dps etc). But then they choose to make powercreep so drastic after only 1~2 years. HI3 might give more rewards and free pulls than Genshin but they make characters powercreep even faster, full clearing as f2p is nigh impossible in HI3 but I was able to do it every cycle in Genshin. With the new Imaginarum Theatre in Genshin I'm finding fun in building my old units again and having a large roster (where having sidegrades and duplicates like xingqiu/yelan isn't a bad thing) I think that kind of Endgame mode would be really healthy for the game in HI3, especially since with addition of PF & ApocS they seem to catching on that making people build more teams and pull more chars for a variety of content will make them money. wild grain of salt speculation is maybe MHY thinks that doing this, where sell new chars + giving up on rerun money, earns them more overall but it really feels bad as a player especially for f2p or small spenders (express pass)
Re your comment at the beginning of the video: I've heard/read that Sunday isn't really a big upgrade on Sparkle for DHIL unless you have Sunday's light cone. I don't know enough about the game to understand why... but I'm teetering on pulling for Sunday (getting Tingyun on that banner would be a bonus) for my DHIL. **I am open to comments along the lines of "why the F**K did you pull DHIL?" and "DHIL has fallen off!". I agree... he's my one non-META pick. (My two "real" teams are Super Break: HMC, Rappa, Herta, Lingsha, and Acheron, Guinaifen, Pela and Lynx ... I won't be offended).
With sunday's lightcone he can not only have a permanent uptime on his buffs but also be truly SP efficient. Whereas with sparkle u need her ult to generate SP, simply using sunday's skill provides a SP
If anything, I hope that Acheron's seemingly low rerun sales will message to the devs that powercreep is out of hand. Didn't Raiden's first 2 reruns in Genshin break sales records? And they can't even sell one rerun of the Raiden expy in Star Rail because people are so wary of powercreep and (correctly) believe an 8-month old DPS already has one foot in the grave. Looking at Star Rail Station's Warp Tracker global stats, a rerun sustain (Aventurine) sold better - that's pretty rough.
Not much, honestly. Remembrance MC as to my estimation isn't *that* powerful. Robin is definitely better in the third sustain slot behind Sunday. Robin is even better than Remembrance MC in Remembrance main DPS teams because she actually advances summons too. Though they're still pretty powerful, as they deal true damage in their kit. Not as powerful as Harmony MC though.

It is also possible for hoyo to powercreep him by introducing a robin version for summons. It already happened with robin powercreeping sparkle. It's not if but when.
Based on leaks, no summon robin is coming out. Tribbie is in limbo between huge buffs for summons and hp buff playstyle to even position based playstyle, so no sunday like unit is coming until prolly after 3.3.@@ABC-yj6cy

The fact that they're just increasing the HP SPonge Inflation into 9.4 Million HP in 3.0, this is just disgusting power creep, yeah I know the boss summons helps you beat the boss but doesn't mean anything when you have to destroy the summons too with HP sponge inflations...

I mean older dps units really shouldn't be in top 5. Wouldn't make any sense to release a fresh new dps and have it be on similar power level than an old dps from a year ago. At least when more support comes out they are still usable. Keyword usable. No they won't 0 cycle or 1 cycle like a feixiao (who will get power crept someday as well) but you can still clear end game with dhil or jinglu with smart investments. Jinglu just needs ice weak enemies to have an easier time which we haven't gotten in some time, and dhil appreciates sparkle and maybe a sig or 1-2 eidolons and he good. Might sound like a lot, but if people want to use older dps, invest in them. No money required, just invest smart in your supports or old dps if you like them that much, and play well. My kafka Sampo squad beats end game thanks to my Ruan Mei E1 S1. It ain't easy but it gets job done. Otherwise, run whatever is meta and click auto battle. That's gachas
Yeah they definitely shouldn't be top 5, they're older DPSs for a reason. The problem is when they're so much weaker that they don't even compare to the newer units. Jing Yuan is going to get absolutely decimated by Aglaea and Castorice and so again, there is no use for him. They shouldn't be top 5, heck even after the whole 3.0 series they shouldn't be top 10, but they shouldn't also be so weak people don't even consider using them. They should be at least competitive and able to 0 cycle and 1 cycle with their absolute *best* smart investment teams. Unfortunately, that's not gonna happen unless they're directly buffed. Edit: the best DPS should be the character that does the most damage with the least investment, at this point though Acheron deals way more damage than Jingliu even with only 1 five star support while Jingliu would need 3.

Makes sense. As for the Jing yuan, yeah that makes sense to me. So imagine if Jing yuan with Sunday is casually 0 to 1 cycling content. Cool, what's the point of pulling for aglaea then? She is literally supposed to be better than him in every way due to her path and element. Jing yuan came out a long time ago. Meanwhile if they do that, they will likely release a stronger version of blade. OK, that character will be comfortable and safe. Blade? No, but invest in him and he can do fine. I love this game, and I'm okay with skipping end-game content outside of Pure Fiction (IMO the only relatively balanced end-game content) and Simulated Universe cause I genuinely like the story. Also, Sampo is lowkey cracked and I'm tired of people downplaying my best boy :( He has good damage output and faster enemies makes this even better.
