Starmer was in Washington in less than a week of becoming Prime Minister. You could argue that he had more important things to attend to.

Years ago I would naturally cut Emily Maitlis some slack, but her treatment of the Hungarian Minister because of their policy on Islamic immigration opened my eyes. She virtually accused him of being a Nazi because the Hungarian people voted for a policy of only allowing immigration from countries that had values similar to Hungary - that is entirely reasonable !
