Jamie definitely picked the best option of the three. It matched up perfectly with what she was looking for in a home. The house looks great!! The fencing for the dogs has also been taken care of!!
when i watch this shows i always feel admiration for the real state broker because they have to deal with lots of delusional people who want a house the likes of a expensive wine but have beer Budget!
Why? What's there to "feel" for? The realtor gets paid very well when he or she sells properties to their client. Having to deal with overly hopeful people is not a big deal. There are jobs that have terrible cons to them, this is nothing at all to feel admiration for.
The dogs need a large yard. She did a really good job updating the kitchen. Got that Icemaker. I loved the condo, but that was not the practical choice. All renovations look great.
Jack!! Agreed on all fronts. Jamie definitely made the best choice, hands down. The fencing issue has already been resolved and she's done a lot of awesome updates.
Location, location, location!!! Sigh. She's learning. One thing I don't understand is if one spends one's day in a pool, why would one want to go home and get back in a pool?
Mark Leeman ...I feel your pain watching this! I don’t want to say much because I realize this is a person who is a “friend”...but the expectations are so unrealistic! Do people realize when they are walking through a home putting it down that this is someone’s life they are talking about..... Next time ladies....don’t have a hamburger budget wanting to order steak!
The mentality of "I can't afford a turn key house, but I don't want to/don't know how to renovate anything" so I complain about how everything is dated. This really makes me frustrated. When I bought my house I had to update nearly everything but I did It myself and saved a ton of money. I understood I couldn't afford turn key and thought beyond the existing infrastructure. These people are delusional.
I never understand comments that say potential buyers are spoiled or whiners? When you are buying a home, that is exactly what you are supposed to do! None of them are RUDE! They just specify their opinion aloud. The realtors know his/her commission is based on the sell. The buyer is just looking for what they have saved up for for many years and maybe even a lifetime. It's very important they are specific regarding their wants and needs and get the most for their money. That's completely reasonable.
Thank you for this comment. It's her future home, she has every right to specify what she wants in something she is paying such a huge amount of money for.
Some people just like to get laps in before work or after work or days off. I used ours to exercise/swim laps before school , after school and after work. It was more convenient for me to step out the back door to the pool , rather than get in my car and drive to the beach (25 min away) or to a public pool (20 min away). I'm sure she was looking at the convenience of owning her own.
Personal choice. Maybe not right for you, but it is right for her...and me. I would love to have a pool that I could just get into at any time. She said swimming is her life.
Wow, these young kids buying their own home so young...must come from wealthy families. No new kitchen? No granite counter tops? No new washer and dryer? When my kids were Toddlers I remember buying a washing machine for $35, and it lasted for years.
The outbuilding a demo? I don't think so. It's a nice-looking outbuilding, well-constructed building and could house mowing equipment, etc. Paint and use the darn thing.
Love these shows but I always get so annoyed w/the people on them..a bunch of whiny spoiled ppl that care abt stuff that shldn't even matter..anyways..I thought the condo wld work also, but w/2 big dogs, maybe not..the last house was just too big and the backyard...I think that would have given me nightmares..literally..until demolished! lol
100+ year old houses will have issues. Hopefully the electrical was correctly updated. They sometimes leave behind some knob and tube wiring which is a code violation and not safe either.
Want Everything! Pool, Stain steel appliances, hardwood... can't get everything. I love the condominium, (House 2) Get the condo! living a happy life with everything
Tbh I think she should've gone with the condo instead. It was below budget, and she could've used the remaining money to remove the carpet and install hardwood floors (I don't think it would've cost more than 15,000$). It was close to the beach and had a pool, the appliances were in good shape and the bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size. I mean yeah, she wouldn't have gotten a fenced off backyard, but the one she chose didn't have one anyway. But all in all, it had most of the stuff on her wishlist.
I have to agree with your other reply from Xcuze. He and I never agree, but this is 2 in a row lol. Condo would be bad for dogs. They could change it to where "PETS" not allowed. HOA's are sometimes good, but not for her. It would be like paying rent every month and that can and will go up also. Not cheap.
Does she have speech impediment or recently recovered from stroke? Seems to be having slurring speech though. Doesn't seem to articulate as well as her sister. Simply love her 2 dogs-- they are lovely and seem to be well taken care of by the owner.
Wow....sister unbearable ! ! Why , why would you take her along , conference call etc..... can you divorce a sister......wants list, close to beach (desirable neighborhood ) seems a bit unreasonable.
REALTOR AGAIN! I repeat myself often. I'm older, but I don't have Alzheimer's yet. (thank you God). I never understand why a realtor would show a home that is OVER budget and with hardly anything a potential buyer asked for? #1 Realtor says "I mean really" That's what I'm saying! Please show her something with at least SOMETHING SHE ASKED FOR! #2 Realtor again! 2 dogs! no yard for them. Carpet was HUGE for her. Just a lot of things---POOL.. #3 Hope he can make magic. NOPE! I don't think any of them worked for her. Just because I like to guess and darn it' I'm 3 for 3 Correct, I hate to even try, but I'd say #1 out of the 3 poisons. My Edited Comment: I don't like to cheat. I can't believe it. She agreed! YEAH! I do think this was the best for her, though. It was above her budget, but compared to the other 2 options, this was definitely the BEST! I LIKE HER PERSONALITY ALSO. i DON'T THINK IT WILL BE THAT BIG OF AN EXPENSE TO MAKE THE BACKYARD "DOG FRIENDLY", COMPARED TO WHAT SHE'D HAVE TO DO WITH UPGRADES TO #2 AND #3. You go girl!
I thought #1 wasn't a good house at all but she did a good job decorating it so far but I think the real problem was the realtor he seemed bitchy or something she should have changed him to another one
Bless the realtor! He did an amazing job showing her what options she has within her price range
Jamie definitely picked the best option of the three. It matched up perfectly with what she was looking for in a home. The house looks great!! The fencing for the dogs has also been taken care of!!
Mark Leeman Thanks for the update👍
one "needs" a roof over one's head. one can live a very happy life without fancy countertops and stainless steel appliances.
when i watch this shows i always feel admiration for the real state broker because they have to deal with lots of delusional people who want a house the likes of a expensive wine but have beer Budget!
thats a very good analogy

I like Leeman. He is so relax and practical.
Location, location, location!!! Sigh. She's learning. One thing I don't understand is if one spends one's day in a pool, why would one want to go home and get back in a pool?
Has no one heard of changing flooring
Is it a mythical power like invisibility or time travel?
Thanks for watching, everyone!!

Great choice...independent house, price markdown to under budget, nice backyard....only need to spend some money to upgrade the house and fence.

I grew up in Narragansett, hoping to catch a possible glimpse of my childhood home just blocks from the Pier.

Okay, so am I the only one who loved #3?! Lol...great episode though, I really like what she's done so far with the home.
With beaches close by and working at a swimming facility, why does she need a pool?
Some people just like to get laps in before work or after work or days off. I used ours to exercise/swim laps before school , after school and after work. Anyone else just fast forward to the end?

I do understand what she is saying about the carpet. I cannot breathe with carpeting either. and she has sense of humor.
Her expectations are too high... We were approved for a $200,000 home but in reality settled for a way cheaper fixeruper 2bed small ranch on 1/2 acre.
100+ year old houses will have issues. Hopefully the electrical was correctly updated. They sometimes leave behind some knob and tube wiring which is a code violation and not safe either.
Good job getting the price reduction!
I love the look on your face at her comments about carpet...lolol
I would have definitely gone for the 3rd house. It was charming and beautiful.
It's so funny to watch these people that have a small budget who want a home with top finishes...
pull out the carpet so easy to do😂😂😂
Want Everything! Pool, Stain steel appliances, hardwood... can't get everything.
I love the condominium, (House 2) Get the condo! living a happy life with everything
I just New she was going for House number 1 good choice 👏👏👏👏
I would have shown her a converted bus with a hot plate and a block of ice on the beach for the budget.
Incredibly annoying sisters :@
Some people on this show just really irk my soul.
The condo's gorgeous and you can rip up the carpet
He could show me his listings anytime 😘
the guys on the show need so much stuff and they are drama kings and queens
the 3rd is the best.

hope someone told her that she could try 50/50 with the neighbors on the fence since it's pretty much an investment on both ends.
brrrr. that water in Rhode Island is cold!
The condo would be perfect for me since I want something low-maintenance.
Does she have speech impediment or recently recovered from stroke? Seems to be having slurring speech though. Doesn't seem to articulate as well as her sister.
Simply love her 2 dogs-- they are lovely and seem to be well taken care of by the owner.
Wow, well aren't you kind?
If she has to still babysit the dogs, the condo with a pool would have been a better choice in my opinion.
I'm glad I'm an only child....
The sister....ww wwaaaa waaaa bla blaa blaa...blaaa...
thanks for sharing. real life.
Up your budget or quit complaining!
Wow....sister unbearable ! ! Why , why would you take her along , conference call etc..... can you divorce a sister......wants list, close to beach (desirable neighborhood ) seems a bit unreasonable.
Ja ja ja schatz Harald und ja ja ja schatzi Karin 😂😂❤❤

You can clearly tell that she hates her big sister.
She has her own dogs but complaints about other dogs??
What's wrong with those two what they want for $200 k. Build your own then no complain
I wouldn't put much trust in that realtor. What is the point of showing a condo to a person who has 2 large dogs that need a fenced yard to run in?
"most beautiful; beaches"....lol more like gross brown sand and cold beaches
So annoying💆🏼
Jamie is a spoiled brat! I have lived in worst. Poor poor Jamie, OMG No carpet....Yes her personality irked me
Annoying can we insert some realism please
Change the f'ing floors. Stop complaining
I thought #1 wasn't a good house at all but she did a good job decorating it so far but I think the real problem was the realtor he seemed bitchy or something she should have changed him to another one
lol..do you ever look to see who's posted these videos?
4KidsGalore !! ...didn’t get that from him at all....
YES YES YES REALTORS are my biggest "bitch" or gripe on these shows. Good observation!
Ashlyn M I didn't either. I thought he was very patient & trying to help her be more realistic about what she could get in her price range.
