Another question is are you using the new metal roofs that look like shingles I’ve owned 2 new houses in Florida and the roofs didn’t last 10 years Granted under warranty but the contractors use garbage material down there to save a buck

Metal roofs are rare to find. Builders tend to go with shingles because they are the most affordable option.
