- Mutual Aid Woods Fire -

Beulah Fire Department, B-Shift was dispatched as mutual aid to Plainview Volunteer Fire Department for a reported woods fire in the 1300 block of Lee Road 389. The City of Opelika Fire Department was also requested to respond due to BFDs extended ETA to the location of the incident. While responding, light smoke was visible from miles away.
Upon arrival, firefighters found approximately .25 of an acre on fire. Two lines were deployed from Brush 617, and fire attack was initiated on each side of the fire pushing towards the burn. Opelika Fire, Engine 4 arrived on scene and also pulled a bumper line to assist with fire extinguishment. The fire was quickly brought under control, and units were on scene for one hour before returning to service.
Beulah Fire Department responded with two apparatus, and three personnel. Opelika Fire responded with an engine company, and battalion to assist.
