BFD - Tanker 614 Response *Working Structure Fire*

Tuesday evening, BFD B-Shift was dispatched as automatic aid to Smiths Station Fire Rescue in the 200 block of Lee Road 288 for a reported residential structure fire with entrapment. Multiple calls were reporting a working structure fire with an occupant trapped inside the residence.
BFD arrived on scene, and reported to command. Upon arrival, SSFR had the bulk of the fire knocked down, and a primary search complete. Prior to BFD arrival, it was confirmed that everyone was out of the residence. BFD crews were assigned to the interior of the structure to check for fire extension, and preform overhaul duties. Once the fire was marked under control, BFD was released from the scene by command and returned to quarters. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and one occupant was evaluated by SSFR EMS on the scene.
Beulah Fire Department responded with two apparatus, two personnel, and were on scene for one and a half hours before returning to service. Smiths Station Fire & Rescue, Salem Volunteer Fire Department, Lee County Sheriff's Office Alabama, and Alabama Power all responded to the scene.
