    Luxon has shown himself so often to be politically immature, he lacks any backbone, and is totally shit scared of upsetting Maori. Putting more pointedly he has no balls for a fight, and thinks that he can just put David Seymour down.

    Luxon has just lost his job. The voters of New Zealand will punish him for this. I voted for change, not Luxinder. I voted National as it seemed the most sure way to get the last clowns out of power. Now Luxon has just lost me as a voter. Nothing has been acheived on anything, anywhere and this is final straw. ACT will get my vote next time. For me to consider staying in NZ beyond 2026, I wanted to see change and be given confidence that Non Maori can exist in NZ under Moaridom. This is the single biggest issue for me and Luxon has just shat on my vote.

      Can I suggest, that you "spread the word", one letter is not enough, make it "many", give NZ Post a headache. Advice - the letter needs (+rules) - to contain your name (nom de guerre or fictitious names - not acceptable), residential address and be polite - anything rude, will see it composted. In your electorate - compose a letter and ask those you seek to do the same thing, use that letter (one version is acceptable in these circumstances) - but the same +rules apply to all - Good luck.

    • @foggycoast
      @foggycoast Місяць тому

      Keep giving them the electorate vote though, because there's little chance of getting an ACT or NZF local MP in. Use your party vote to force a coalition where ACT and NZF will be stronger than National. As an example Taieri (South Dunedin plus Mosgiel and Milton) electorate would have got rid of Ingrid Leary (Liebour) if everyone who voted for the NZF candidate had voted for the National candidate instead. This safe Labour seat wasn't that safe after all.

    • @robinlecomte1242
      @robinlecomte1242 Місяць тому

      @@foggycoast Hmm, whilst I agree with your thoughts, to make a bigger impact you need more MP's who will stand in an electorate. If you have watched the recent UK Gen elections - you will see that Reform achieved an interesting result. Good on then but ( always a but) - there is on 5 MP's, against 70 in the Lib/Dems Party - the only reason Reform did well, was because of Nigel Farage and already many in the UK "are walking their next GE vote backwards as Nigel has failed to live up to expectations"?
      Dear David Seymour need to up the anti and gather more people to become MP's and have a better selection system than what he has.

    • @foggycoast
      @foggycoast Місяць тому

      @@robinlecomte1242 They need to find seats that they have a genuine chance of winning, rather than divide the vote and let Labour win them. That's the problem. The Greens targeted that very cleverly and won 2 electorate seats, Seymour has held one seat that has guaranteed ACT's place in Parliament even when they polled very low, etc. Winston can probably win a seat again, as could Shane Jones, if they pick carefully. ACT should target a couple of rural electorates where National has been lacklustre, but it's tricky because farmers are stupidly loyal to National thinking it is the farmers' party, when it really isn't doing much for them, just speaking with a forked tongue. If ACT want to win there, they need to guarantee that they will oppose and ban any biogenic emissions taxes. Really it's up to Mark Cameron and Andrew Hogarth to man up and switch the farmers vote from National to ACT.

    Luxon needs to read Sir Apirana Ngata's views on the treaty. This learned, esteemed Maori gentleman of the 19th century, clearly lays out what the treaty is and what it means. It never was described as a partnership or shared sovereignty. Queen Victoria wouldn't allow her own husband to share sovereignty with her. She certainly wasn't going to share it with a people she didn't know.

    Luxton has previously been away from this country for so long that he's lost All ability to READ THE ROOM.
    We need a Prime Minister with a spine and not a quivering mess around the foot stomping and outrageous demands of Maori.
    David Seymours Treaty Principles Bill IS the sheriff who's come into town to end this plundering monstrosity.
    Let's support him NZ, a lone beacon of light and honesty.

      @@woofwoof9647 That's correct, which is why they are putting in a law that says what they are. NZ legislation always refers to the principles, which do not exist in writing. Great idea dont you thin k to write them down.

    It was the tone of voice as much as anything that I noticed. Sounded as if a rational approach to our country's biggest irritant was akin to stepping in something nasty on the pavement. Look around you CL and see what's happening to Western leaders who are just not listening.
