From u.k. I’m 67 now and my two lads played it to death! A fantastic album! Found it again! And I’m still loving it! Just done a dive into their back cat! I missed out on that! Fantastic band! Musicianship off the scale!
God I truly miss my album collection and all of my tapes and all of my CDs 50 years worth and including mother selections and others man do I miss that like world anyway glad you guys are still there hang in there be safe this is good shit hope hopefully this makes it past editorial review
I love the line from Afternoons and Coffee Spoons where he rhymes "I've watched the summer evenings pass by" with "I've heard the rattle in my bronchi". His lyrics manage to be completely irreverent and pretty deep at the same time.
I had an eye to eye encounter with Brad at an outdoor gig they did a few years ago. It was during In The Days Of The Caveman. I was right up front and spontaniously waved my forefinger at him and sang "you're thumb and forfinger" and he followed it up by waving the same finger back and finished the lyric. Pretty funny if you know the song. They played to a vastly unenthusiastic crowd. Priceless memory for me regardless
Theis particular presentation Felt like the song started galloping a little bit nicely, and some member of the band slowed down, like "this is not a galloping song"😅😅😅 ages without listening these guys 🎉
what is that, “they’re from Canada, it’s alright.” lame joke carried too far. this voice- nothing like it. weirdly ( canadian-ly) gorgeous. all the voices, beautiful...
I love this song (and album), but this one was a bit shaky. Their harmonies were so amazing on the studio track, and the pitchy performance here left me a bit disappointed. Still upvoted for a great band and a great song, but I'm off to the official release now.
@@MasonBryant Eh. The music is pretty solid--but the vocals have some rough spots. Singing together they aren't timing it very well. And Brad is sharp on the word "God" at the beginning of each chorus. The last one is closer than the other two. Also, Brad's guitar is too loud. Not the band's fault--that's on the sound engineer. As I said, they're a great band, and I love this entire album--I've learned several of them to play on my own. But this performance could've been a lot better.
We held our infant son(who's now 28) in our arms every night playing this album for bedtime. No wonder he loves his music so much.
Brad Robert’s buttery baritone voice accompanied by Ellen Reid’s angelic harmonies is the definition of audible bliss.
Sim,mas a outra tecladista também está cantando.
Saw these guys last night in swansea (wales)...absolutely fantastic all these years later ❤
Honestly this album, that this song is on, is one of my all favorite albums, the entire cd is amazing and I listened to it end to end for years…
I played the hell out of this album. Every tune is a belter. And Brad’s voice is iconic.
Ditto that!
Great album, I seem to revisit it every few years and always can remember the lyrics to every song so must've played it alot since mid 90s
It's seriously one of the best song for song albums ever. . Its up there with Christopher cross 1st album
From u.k.

A fantastic album!
Found it again!
And I’m still loving it!
Just done a dive into their back cat!
I missed out on that!
Fantastic band!
Musicianship off the scale!
Amazing how good he sounds live doing that difficult baritone. And so expressive. Brad Roberts was the singing voice of my childhood
Whoever handled the mix for this knocked it out of the park!
Right? Amazing 👍
The harmonies are amazing. What an amazing band, all the musicians are first rate.
Amazing sound quality, such a great album... gem I'd say.
A very underrated Canadian band.
Says who?
underrated? they sold 8 million copies of this record. thats an insane amount of records. thats more than Sinead O'Conner's debut sold.
Not in Canada they weren't. Massive up here .
Fantastic band and his great bass boys too
I love them, their music always make me happy, Greetings from 🇨🇷
Great song, great band. Funny guy too. Had the pleasure seeing them live in Ireland in 1994
This is truly amazing beautiful music god bless the Crash test dummies
I forgot how good this band was.
Beautiful beautiful song
Love this band.
Crash test dummies are awesome.😊
Cruising in the woods of the UP of Michigan in the fall and this CD playing....Bliss
I’m kind of glad it’s a secret to most how beautiful it is up there
Fucking incredible! Live it was so damn good wow. I still play this album like I did when it came out

Amazing performance by Brad Roberts !!!
Phenomenal song and album
Fabulous song and performance!
Damn fine performance. I still love that album.
Amazing performance
love his voice
"...and if your eye
Got poked out in this life
Would it be waiting up
In heaven with your wife"
Not many lyrics are as great as that

Along with everyone else who is solid in this band - bass player Dan Roberts is so good. Lovely bass lines and great punch.
where did my childhood go..so fast
Love that group!!❤❤
One off the best songs ever, and what a live performance absolutely perfect better than the recorded version.
I ignore the haters. GSF is on my list of top 10 albums of all time.
best live performance

Brad, one of a kind voice

❤ brilliant
Anthony Fantano on the drums.
Just kidding, I recently got into this group by this album and it is moving, thoughtful and like medicine for my soul.
Mitch Dorge is a very underrated drummer. Imagine the difficulty of the dynamics required to play with this band.
Very well put.
He has always impressed me as a really solid player! One of the stand out pocket drummers with tasty touches with toms and cymbal work!
Damn fine drummer.
Brilliant Drummer. Brilliant Band!
Nostalgia
I will never get over how voice is
2023- Magnificent.
Does anyone know why this sounds different from the album version? Guitar sounds different I think
2022🤗🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Saw them in Thurles Tipperary 1994, the rain was biblical, so were the CTD's.
Who's the 2nd keyboard player - the blonde with the hat?
Her name is Katy Brown
@@xyqueum Also known as Kiva Simova
God is this really almost 30 years ago…
Perfection.
When a frog in your throat
doesnt sound that bad.
Imagine Adrian Belew coming out and doing the solo at the end😉
God Shuffled His Feet, alongside New Order's "Republic", are the two best albums of 1993. Hands down!
what is that, “they’re from Canada, it’s alright.” lame joke carried too far.

Probably smoked alot of op's cigarettes back in the day
One word weed

Oh come off it, that was an amazing live performance.
