Love your reviews man. Keep it up. Really looking forward to the Adizero EVO SL Review vs the SL2. Can’t decide if I should buy both as I currently run with dead Triumph 21,
I just picked up this shoe based off your review. I normally run Hoka's but you helped me make the switch back to brooks. I dig the vibes in your vids, new subscriber.
You epitomize what it means to do your due diligence with these reviews. The variety of shoes, use cases, and miles put in command respect on their own. Another great review! Thanks for showcasing a lesser heard of shoe, and one that may appeal to many for easier miles (myself included). 🙌 As a side, I think Doctors of Running called this category of shoes "Stable Neutral", where there are prescriptive stability elements in the shoe but they aren't obtrusive the way more specialized stability may be. They tend to ride as supportive, stable and smooth daily trainers, which I think a lot of us can benefit from adding into a rotation (especially building mileage).
Ran my first marathon twenty years ago in the Adrenaline GTS 4. Will have to go and lace a pair of these up to compare to my current favourite shoes, the Cielo X1 and the Mach X2. Thanks for highlighting this one 👍
I wish the update to the Glycerin was a lower drop, it looks like they are keeping the 10mm drop. Love the Glycerin but I don't wear it anymore, the 10mm drop is just to high:(
Very informative review. I am an over-pronator with borderline narrow feet, flat feet and a bunion on my right foot. I run a moderately paced 5k 4 times per week for health and fitness (not for competition or speed). Do you recommend the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 24? FYI, I ran in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS for years, but dumped them after the 21 (or 22?) because they were so stiff and blah to run in. I wanted something more energetic, lighter with pop/spring and not too stiff. I felt that the Adrenaline GTS just chugged along… I’ve been running in the Saucony Tempus for a few years. I am happy ish with them, but the Adrenaline GTS 24 is intriguing. And the new Lime Green/Nightlife colorway is 🔥.
The brands of the year 2024 yet for me are : 1. Brooks 2.Asics 3.Hoka 4.Puma Maybe a little early but it came to my mind right now for some unknown reason😊
Hey Yowana, My man, you should totally review the Asics NovaBlast 5 when it comes out. You got me upping my milage and I'm planning to buy the novablast when my gel nimbus dies on me haha
My bro got mentioned a couple times at the comment section of the FOD runner’s vid on his take on the latest matt choi debacle. In Yowana we trust! Badabang! 🔥🔥🔥
I'd love to see an higher mileage update to your Ghost Max 2 review. I'm alternating between the OG Ghost Max and the Ghost Max 2 and the Ghost Max 2 feels softer and more comfortable to me. But not sure any shoe that you use in as much as your pair of the Ghost Max, it is definitely broken in:)
Considering something like this for the winter miles on the treadmill. Might be the perfect amount of stability and firmer feel which I like for long treadmill sessions.
OK, so I’m tossed between the Brooks adrenaline GTS 24 and the 23s what are your thoughts between the two have they changed a lot from 23 to 24? Also, what are your thoughts on the Brooks guide rails ? I do have planter Fantasia if that’s what it’s called and a wide foot, but I do walk every day and I need a good shoe so between these three and I know the 24s just came out what are your thoughts? I guess between the adrenaline and the Guiderails ?
People sleep on these more conservative staid shoes but they do a job. I wore my AP3s yesterday and it was a nice switchup to put on my Cliftons this morning. And agree, that colorway is 🔥👌🏽
It just came to my mind. 26 days ago you ran Chicago. How far along are you in the recovery?. Do you think you are fully recovered, or do you need another week? How about having some fun on Sunday and find out with a 26.2 mile long run, running the first 20 miles in an 7 minute average and the final 6.2 in 6:04 average. I have no idea, if such a run fits in your current training, but it seems like fun to me. Take 2 shoes of your choice, the first one more of a comfortable shoe, the other one more a speedy shoe. Press pause on the watch for the time to change the shoes You might find some Atreyu pace shoe or the Hoka Rocket x in a boy in your office spicing up the Sunday sounds like fire.......just a crazy idea, my brain told me
Did a race pace tempo today and it felt good! So probably close to fully recovered. I was already thinking of doing a super long run - I love this idea
Hey Yomomma salute!!! I hope this comment finds you well. I want to know what the most bouncy shoe you have tried? Trying to build my rotation. What has the best energy return? THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP: SALUTE!!!
1. Take it easy. Probably you increased your mileage or intensity too fast, too soon. Especially running on hard surfaces 2. Strength training the calves, stretching the calves and muscles around your shin. 3. Wear calf compression sleeves 4. If you already have the splints suggest to stop running and focus on recovery and building strength 5. And to answer your question, use cushioned shoes, perhaps with some stability and a medium drop. A few comes to mind like Kayano, Saucony Triumph 20 or 21, Brooks Glycerine, ON Cloudstratus. It's worth mentioning that no shoes will prevent shin splints. Most important is to gradually increase your mileage and intensity, have a lot of easy days running, work on your form, particularly avoid overstriding. If you want tonrun a bit faster try increasing the cadence keeping short strides instead of extending too much, practice a lot of dorsiflexion l. I have to repeat like a retard, build muscle and strength before hitting the pavement too hard especially if you're new to running or coming after a long break. Avoid doing one or two crazy, long, intense sessions on weekends. Better be consistent. It's more productive and yielding better results doing a few shorter sessions thru the week. Even 10-20 minutes can make you a better and HEALTHIER runner. Beginners want to run fast, advanced want to run longer, professionals want to stay injury free. Come.back after one month and let me know
definitely the shoe database on the website and the forums. the buy/sell/trade marketplace is mainly US right now unfortunately - i'm thinking we will try to expand to add more UK folks next year
Just a note for consumers, not everyone is the same, the Glycerin Max is absolutely not comfortable for me, it holds the mantle of: worst upper in a shoe I own. It's like someone wearing a pair of dungarees stating that dungarees are the most comfortable clothes, whilst sitting next to three people wearing sweat pants, pajamas and yoga pants...
I like the analogy. The difference is I've tried every type of pants out there 😂 on a more serious note agreed that the glycerin max isn't for everyone though. The upper is thick and very padded and it does have a ton of cushion, which not everyone likes. I've compared it in the past to the 1080v13 - soft comfort dialed up to the max, which is good if that's what you want. Puma magmax is more versatile
@@supwell If the cushioning is a little too much and the materials aren't that flexible or stretchy then you've got to tie them so tight to get a good lockdown it defeats the pursuit of comfort and that's why the Glycerin Max fails for me in the size 8, I either strangle my foot, or my feet are slipping into the toes with every step. The comparison I'd make to the 1080 is... good Vs bad, the 1080 has a great upper, stretchy, effortless lockdown, it is super comfortable.
Bro, hardest working reviewer in the game!!
I agree 💯%
yesterday i was buying some coffee to go and saw a slug inside of establishment, instantly thought "LETS GOOO"
I think Yowana is going to hit EVERY running shoe this year. Amazing coverage!
Thank you sir! 🫡
43:44 yes, please test Asics GT 2000 when you can. Docs of Running podcast last week gave it a 👍

🙌🏽 thanks so much for the kind words - i think people who give this a shot will be pleasantly surprised!

this review doing the absolute most... but i'm lowkey here for it
The Glycerin Max was too much stack for me. I love the Adrenaline GTS. Thanks for the review
I wish the update to the Glycerin was a lower drop, it looks like they are keeping the 10mm drop. Love the Glycerin but I don't wear it anymore, the 10mm drop is just to high:(
Since they have the same foam the ghost max 2 is basically the glycerin 21 with a lower drop now - so I don't mind the 10mm on the glycerin
Thanks for sharing! Shoes are so important and expensive.

what your thoughts on the Mach 6
@@lil-hawk3 The last one of the Mach‘s I ran in was the Mach 4 where they made that huge step and everybody was so hyped about the 4th 🥰
Yes for the max series from brooks
You need to include the GT2000 in these convos imo...it's one of the best
Will be testing it soon!
The Bruce goes mass 😍😍😍😍
The Supwell app got my back
First I’m hearing of this shoe! You already know Yowana putting in work!!
Toadz putting in work
Hey Yowana,
My man, you should totally review the Asics NovaBlast 5 when it comes out. You got me upping my milage and I'm planning to buy the novablast when my gel nimbus dies on me haha
Yes for sure! Will be testing when it's available to buy

Adrenaline GTS 24 looking fire! 🔥
17:36 nice color for saucony tempus. The only saucony shoe i'm searching for.
Great video! I am curious what you would think about the HOKA Arahi Stability shoe. Hopefully you can make a video review about that shoe. Cheers!
Will add to the list!
@d.av.s2798 the most recent one is considered a dud by most of the shoetubers.
Yes to a Tempus 2 review!
Yes I should do a ghost max 2 update soon
There's a lot to be said for a shoe that's just a shoe and gets out of the way. That was the Deviate Nitro 2 for me last year and the SL2 this year.
Considering something like this for the winter miles on the treadmill. Might be the perfect amount of stability and firmer feel which I like for long treadmill sessions.
yes this would be great! another solid option for that would be the hoka skyflow - i have a few videos on that one
Yeee let’s gooo

Demon Slugs in the chat Bang ‼️

Brooks after this video 📈📈📈
I’m buying this shoe!
You're going to love it. They have an all black colorway for you too 😂
Shout out to the Hobby Gardener in the background putting in work.
Please review the Tempus 2!!
What do you think about this show vs. something like the novablast 4 / 5?
Saucony tempus 2 please! 😁
Is the supwell app only available in the US?
Those 860s are comfortable but they wear down quickly.
People sleep on these more conservative staid shoes but they do a job. I wore my AP3s yesterday and it was a nice switchup to put on my Cliftons this morning.

Dad drip certified 🔥
Ayyy glad it got the Brendan stamp of approval! It's like the gold version of the silver Primas 🔥

Im sure WB wears them!
Basic magic 2 vs Saucony ride 17?
Imma take it to the app
Did you see the new colourways for the glycerin max? The women's version has the all tan colour which is kinda heat 5:01
Yeah it's fire. I wish they had a men's version. The brown/green for men's is pretty solid too though
@ I got small feet so might even be possible for a guy like me to get women's size 😭
Hey Yomomma salute!!! I hope this comment finds you well. I want to know what the most bouncy shoe you have tried? Trying to build my rotation. What has the best energy return?

Your neighbor's chickens probably ate all the Slugs😅
Hahaha true. They were back again yesterday afternoon 😂
I have the 23 of these in lime. The only Brooks that has enough volume for my feet.
I personally hated the ghost 16 it was uncomfortable as hell lol 😂 i have a pair im trying to sell on the supwell app now

Yeah no On Cloud shoes for this Dad!!!! 🤣🤣
Still waiting for novablast 5 review 😢
Will be testing that as soon as it's available to buy in the US! Likely early December - stay tuned
Have you tried the Adidas Adistar 3? Haven't found a whole lot on it.
Not yet - that one keeps coming up though so I'll order it in to test. Thanks for the nudge! 🙌🏽
Do you think supwell would be useful for me over in the UK?
definitely the shoe database on the website and the forums. the buy/sell/trade marketplace is mainly US right now unfortunately - i'm thinking we will try to expand to add more UK folks next year
👍
what brand is the collar shirt boss?
J crew! Most of my collared shirts are j crew that I got on sale - they have great deals
Oh sorry 😂😂😂😂 It’s an Adrenalin guy 👍
this or Mach 6
Mach 6 if you want a speed/fun shoe. This is for crushing everyday miles with some comfort and support
Just a note for consumers, not everyone is the same, the Glycerin Max is absolutely not comfortable for me, it holds the mantle of: worst upper in a shoe I own.
