Personally I don't eat pigs but I know that there will always be people who do - and the best we can do for the pigs is to raise them humanely so that they can experience some happiness being a pig...
There is a reason for feeding on the floor?
Not really. I could make a trough, but I don't see a lot of value there. I think they would destroy the trough pretty quickly. Our operation tries to keep things as natural as possible and they would not eat off a trough in nature, they would eat acorns and other food sources off the ground. Eating off the ground most closely resembles natural pig behavior.
ah... thank god... nothing upsets me more than tortured animals....
