Just got me a pair yesterday and I have to say I am impressed. The bass hit hard and the tops scream. I had to turn them down a little. I am coming from EV Evolve 50 and haven't decided yet which I like better but the RCF is no joke!
I just ordered one of these for an upcoming event... It's a small venue and think this will be the needed proving ground to become acquainted with this system....your video was the deciding factor....and I need to take it easy on the back😁
Hi is this speakers good for events? like a voice speaking not just music. and how many people can cover? like 250 or 350 people can cover with 2 speakers?
These are great! Clarity is amazing! These sound super clean and clear outdoors. Yes, it can definitely cover a lot of people, but it also depends on the room acoustics/size and position of the speakers. They already have a wide spread and can get loud if you bump them. With that many people, it would be nice to add another subwoofer if you want more low end for dancing, but for voice speaking and music in general, they're great! I want the EVOX 12 now.
DJ MoJoe The 12’s are about 80lbs though aren’t they? I just ordered the 8’s for my mid-sized set up. Looks like a lot of people like them so I hope they don’t disappoint. I was considering the 12’s too but thought they were too heavy for a mid-sized event.
Great video. I use a pair of Turbosound IP2000s and in your commentary, you hit the nail on the head. Though I love the sound and power of the system (several vids on my channel), I can't attach any lights to them! I've thought about that many times during set up.."It sure would be nice if I could put a moving light on this speaker instead of setting up another stand and T-Bar!". You made a great point and I thought it was something only I thought about. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Subbed!
Agree 100% mate. Great speakers. I use mine gigging all the time (Vocals & Acoustic Guitar) and she is amazing. I get compliments for them all the time. Rcf 👏👏👏👌
Hi, yes. People say that the Birchwood material of the EVOX 8 gives it a more warm sound. Not exactly sure how true it is. I also like the look of the wood than plastic
@@djmojoeofficial I bought some J8’s, they were priced right and they sound good. I like the sound of a wood box better too but I have no complaints with the J8’s. They sound good and are easy to carry.
Hi Ryan! I think 150-200. Depending on the room size, I’ll throw in a sub, too. I’ve used them for 2 years 2016-2018 without a sub and have done crowds up to 250. However the best sound you can get using them depends in the acoustics and room layout too. I now add in a sub if I feel extra low end will help

Hello I have one question I have 2 mackie thump 15 and 1 mackie 18s sub ,I'm thinning to buy rcf evox 8. You believe is better for quality and volume from mackie setup?
In my opinion, the RCF will be a better setup. Better clarity and more compact. I've heard 2 15" Mackie Thumps and they didn't have the dynamic range and separation of lows and highs as I would like. RCF will be much clearer.
Just bought my RCF JMix8, and daem! This thing's mixer has very nice perks. although, the bluetooth, not so good, but it might be that my laptop just has old bluetooth tech, it is from 2012 after all.

Hey mojo, yea ya didn't mention the coolest thing about rcf Evox. The portability, the all in one carry in. I assume the 8s at the same as 12 right? Thanks for the vid. And your opinion.

Thanks! I used to, but not anymore. I have connect my speakers to a digital mixer (Bose T8S) and it has a setting which boosts the bass and sounds great. I have more control on the mixer than on the speaker. If I do the bass boost on the speaker, I have to physically go to each one and press it, but if I use the mixer, it's an easy button to switch.
Maybe the 2 K12 with 1KSub because you got that extra sub. However, the K12s spread isn’t as wide compared to the EVOX 8 so you may lack clarity to the sides. At loud volumes though, the RCF’s clarity shines maybe because the sub and tops are separated. If you’re going for more clarity, wide spread, and with good balanced bass, then EVOX 8. But since you have that KSub, I think your QSC Setup in this case might sound more full and boomy.
