Easter Kool-Aid Pie (but not really pie)

- This is a very light dessert that would be good after a big dinner. It is essentially Kool-Aid flavoured whipped cream. It is visually pleasing but not extraordinary.
In my opinion, my Easter Cheesecake has flavour and a lovely presentation: • Easter Cheesecake - wi...
Crust:
2 2/3 cups graham wafer crumbs
1/2 cup butter melted (I used salted)
Stir ingredients together until crumbs are moistened and press into the bottom and up sides of a springform pan.
Chill in the refrigerator.
Filling:
4 envelopes of Kool-Aid (I used Cherry, Grape, Lemonade and Blue Raspberry)
2 cans of sweetened condensed milk
4 Cups of heavy whipping cream
For each layer, do the following:
Stir together the Kool-Aid powder and 1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk until powder is dissolved.
Whip 1 cup of whipped cream until stiff peaks form.
Fold in the Kool-Aid mixture into the whipped cream. It is up to you if you add all of it, taste it and see what you think.
Spoon the mixture into the springform pan.
Refrigerate the layer while you prepare the next one.
*NOTE* I added a bit of yellow paste food colour to the lemonade layer to achieve a brighter yellow colour.
Once all four layers are in the pan, refrigerate for several hours before cutting into it.
Keep refrigerated.
This recipe is based on a couple of recipes I found on the internet with some variations.

I used to watch you when I was super young and I'm so happy to have stumbled upon your videos again!! So happy to see you uploading, I used to watch your videos all day!! Sending so much love
Thanks for watching again!
It gets thick because of the acid in the Kool aid mix reacting with the protein in sweetened condensed milk. Just like the reaction of lime juice and sweetened condensed milk when making key lime pie
I should have figured that out! Thanks for the info :)
@@yoyomax12The science behind it is trivial so don't give it a second thought. I'm glad you are posting again. Keep up the great work!!
I’m so glad to have you back!! You made my whole childhood 🥰❤️❤️

Super cute! Havent got your videos recommended to me in a while but just wanted to say that I've made sooo many of your recipes for big holiday celebrations and they're always a big hit. Might have to try this!

Hi Tammy, love the colours and looks cool when sliced……totally agree on the off-set spatula, I’d be lost without mine 😊……..thanks so much, hope your well ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for watching :) I have a couple of sizes of off-set spatulas, they are sooo useful.
Looks so yummy 😋 It would work for other things like birthday parties, too. Thanks for sharing, my friend 👍👏😊💕🤗
I agree, you can change up the colour for a lot of occasions :) Thanks for watching.
This sorta reminds me of a family recipe my family makes, called pistachio pudding pie. All we do is mix cool whip, pistachio pudding mix, and drained pineapple chunks together and dump it in a graham cracker crust! My mom and great grandmom liked putting chocolate jimmies/sprinkles over the top too 😋I think it would be neat to see you try it on here if that sounds interesting to you! Its very delicious, one of my favorite desserts. Very pretty for easter too!
That recipe sounds delicious! I will put it on my list of things to try :)
You make the yumiest looking desserts. I remember a recipe I made from you years ago. It was a polka dot cheesecake bar (blue, green and pink) it was soooo yummy!!!
I remember that cheesecake! I liked the look of that one too.
Interesting! I don't know how you come up with this stuff but it's always fascinatingly creative.
I scour pinterest and food books and magazines for ideas. I'm not a recipe creator :) I look for things I like and that I think others will like :)
The striped layers look so pretty!
Thanks for watching Lyndsay :)
It looks beautiful
Thanks!
Very fun idea!! Will have to try! I'd be curious to try other flavors...
Thanks for watching . :)

That is a long time!!! Thank you so much for being here.
Definitely gonna give this a try!
Let me know how it turned out for you if you do :)
Looks so good, wish I lived where I could buy kool aid.
I had to get the packets in the USA we don't have them in my city any more.
Very pretty!!
Thank you! 😊
Looks great 😊
Thanks!
It is fun looking
Hello, I don't know what the ingredients of kool-Aid are, but if there is any kind of acid, it will make the condensed milk thicken. Here in my country it is very traditional to mix condensed milk with lemon (or passion fruit) and heavy cream to make mousse and thickens a lot because of the acidity of the fruits.
Another very interesting thing, if you put only condensed milk in the blender and beat it for a few minutes, it will also be super thick and I have no idea why hahaha. Love you.
I've made a lemon dessert and the condensed milk thickens, I should have figured that out! lol. I didn't know about the blender thing, makes me want to try it!
I wonder if you added a little cream cheese and made it more like a cheese cake if it would taste better?
Cream cheese makes many things better :)
@@yoyomax12Especially when it's happy
Ooo it's soo cute! Id try it even though condensed milk rots my stomach haha.
Happy Easter 🐰
Hope your Easter was nice :)
Can I do the same for a Christmas Kool-Aid pie with Christmas colors like with cherry and lime flavor?
That is a great idea :)
I bet that you could use whatever colors you want for this, even if you want to add in some layers that you didn’t show in this video, like adding both green and orange layers.
Yes, you could change up colours for many occasions (like Christmas, Halloween etc)
So it's like cheesecake, but with flavoured whipped cream instead of cheese. But it does sound yummy.
Like a cheesecake, but no cheese, lol
Very pretty...
Thanks :)
I'm glad I can't gain weight watching videos.
Guaranteed low carb watching only :) lol
What is Koolade please?
It is a drink mix. You mix the powder with water and add sugar.
Can you make Froot Loops cookies?
Done! ua-cam.com/video/0g7AhpZTz-E/v-deo.html
@@yoyomax12 Oh, I didn't know you already did that 4 years ago😅
Very pretty, but this is definitely not a pie. 😂 It's more akin to a no-bake cheesecake, but it's not quite that either. Still looks delicious, though.
It has an identity crisis for sure, lol.
You're so cute!
Thanks :)
