There’s no way that Andy was more dominant than Kelly. That was a ridiculous statement by CJ. Kelly knows that and can likely back it up with numbers but there’s no way for him to do so without coming across as an asshole so he stayed quiet. Classy.
@@frankymacf I think that during the three years of Andy's world titles he was indeed more dominant than Kelly.. He was mentally (if not physically too) in his best shape and with his high's at its best he was the most dominant surfer out there.. Of course Kelly is a legend and has accomplished things hardly noone ever will... Huge respect for both!
I can recall back in the early 2010's. Filling pro surfers with lattes and coffee at 8 am, having an eventual chat with them, and realizing how normal humans they are, with hopes and dreams, just like anyone of us...
Go buy 'Andy Irons: Kisses by God' saw it for the first time on May 29th then I bought it for PS4 when it came out and I can honestly say this is the best movie/documentary you'll see in a while especially if you've ever been involved with substance abuse or mental health issues but god bless him he really was a gem 💎!
Kelly is an incredible surfer.i felt as a good surfer myself and seeing the quote best in the world in Hawaii for many years,and later seeing Andy's spontaneous snappy turns and being as good in 2 foot to twenty foot hawiian,that his natural talent was on another plain.thars just my humble ol man opinion.
Great to see Cj hobgood He and his brother now there’s an agro rivalry haha used to love seeing Damien and cj surf against each other I enjoyed that era of pro surfing more than this one by a country mile.. proper unique characters. The talking was done on the waves not in attempted manipulation of judges by brazo’s after waves
