In my opinion some of the Abstract artists here on YT do not reach my expectations of what art should accomplish. Still I recognize most anything as "Art" but for me some of it falls in a weird grey area where it either lacks composition, technique or a harmonious color clique. You Mr. Michael Lang Sir show brilliant mastery over all of the above elements and really get me excited to see more of your work. This one is acrylic and I use a polymer medium for blending. I started with oils and still occasionally find the need to paint with them!Enjoy.

I've been watching your videos for a couple of years. Over the past few days I've been working out how to create similar works in watercolour (element of negative painting likely). Fingers crossed. Thank you for sharing your talent, Mr Lang.

acrylic paint, and for paint colors the basics are yellow ocher,raw sienna,burnt umber, raw umber, and my favorite burnt sienna along with tinting with blues and reds!

Absolutely fascinating to watch. After 5 minutes I was convinced you were almost finished. How wrong was I! You could see what I couldn't. So glad you kept going. Layer upon layer of rich colour washes, shadows and highlights. As usual, I learned a lot. Thanks Michael. Perhaps make a tutorial talking us through the techniques. People like me need it. 👍

Glad you like! Liquitex has a nice selection of mediums that work great for the blending. Ive never covered a canvas, I don't stop until I'm finished. Its not always easy but pushing the envelope teaches me alot about my creativity, its like forcing details with a large brush.enjoy!

I'm sure it will work fine! Any polymer material that dries transparent and is fluid to help with the blending will have a great result.Thin transparent layers and enjoy the process, don't worry about the outcome.
