Why do you hate SUVs so much? I really don't think they're that bad. Idk, I'm 15 and I was gonna save all my money for a Genesis. I have a whole plan for saving for 2 years straight. But I just can't really decide if I wanted the SUV or sedan. I really don't see what's wrong with the suv other than gas 🤔
Bought mine as a "dealer loaner" used by the dealers Management team with only 1200 miles in late December 2023. 2500 miles on it now and the fact is that we love this car. We have not taken our intended southwestern US road trip due to an injury to me (Torn meniscus and ACL) so that is delayed. We took a 3-day road trip up to the north Georgia mountains and put a couple hundred miles on it using it on winding mountainous roads. Handles beautifully and surely do love the "Sport +" mode!!!! So, the first report is that I would buy it again! Truly lovely car.
Just bought the 2023 G70 used at 5k miles. Deal of the century. List price, as a Prestige, 47k. Price dropped to 40k than 36k!!! I saved 11k on a new Genesis with only 5k miles!!! The power is more than sufficient! No dealer mark-up and no "PROTECTION PACKAGE". I really lucked out so my message to you is, keep shopping, and take a new car with just a few thousand miles. I still get 5 year bumper to bumper warranty, 3 years of service and 3 years of valet service! Awesome car.
The 540i would be 15k more just to get the equivalent features. And these are cheaper to maintain with a better warranty. I'd buy this for sure. Do wish the fuel economy was slightly better though. Nice review.
Bowman on several hundred mile trip in my 2022 I have got 31 mpg on round trip so no downgrade bonus going on. Generally at 70-80 mph driving so mpg is actually really good on highway now in stop and go and driving aggressively it drops down.
The B58 engine in the 540i shouldn’t have to many problems. It also gets better MPG. This Genesis though has passed it interior wise. The 2024 5 series is the next generation model. See what it looks like later this year.
Wow, it looks so much more like a GV70 than ever before. Adopted the steering wheel (the 2022 version specifically), the infotainment knob, the wheels...I think that's a nod to the GV70! You really, really need to drive these more than around the block from the Dealership! ;)
I did, took a 2022 GV70 3.5 Sport Prestige (Uyuni white over red/charcoal) for a test drive, maybe ten minutes and went through the driving modes, wow, traded my Infiniti Q50 Red Sport on the spot. Genesis had a fantastic lineup.............
Genesis listens. They made the changes people wanted and changed the steering wheel and infotainment control to the GV70's Sport Prestige gear. The G80 Sport Prestige is stunning, I love my GV70 3.5 Sport Prestige, just had my painless one year concierge service, never left my home, they brought a GV80 loaner, fantastic.
Interesting review Ben. This car packs a lot of luxury features for the money. I was watching the cluster as you were driving. Genesis is going to keep improving until they get it right.
Currently one of my favorite sedans for sure! I would put one on my shopping list if I were to buy a new sedan right now. I currently drive a white on red 2016 Lexus GS350 F-Sport which this car would compete with if Lexus still made the GS. I would for sure go for the red exterior with the brown interior.
I prefer the overall look and wheels of the non-sport 3.5T Prestige, but this is also a looker. What I don't like about the G80 Sport is that now it only comes with AWD, there's no longer a RWD option with the 3.5T unless you opt for a 2021 3.5T Prestige.
Needs 425 hp, reverse the cars rake(too high front and too low in rear) , start button on dash needs to be on the vertical surface, offer the diamond seat pattern with the nappa leather, give other options on wheels for sport….oh, rpm gauge needle left to right ( not right to left - just kinda strange. Then you have sold me….
Man...i dont know if i want the sedan or suv. Im gonna have a lot of people in my Genesis... so I'd say the Suv, and the suv has 3 zone climate control with captains chairs in the back. But the sedan is smaller, no Captain chairs...but the sedan is better on mileage 🤔
Still love my Hyundai Genesis coupe the bad boy that started all this. Heavily modified at this point but damn the coupe model sits pretty all the time. Still the interior of the new models are a dream, wish I had all these features but I have also modified the interior so I can’t be too upset
72k for a hyundai.. lol.. in 1997 my friend had a 92 excel which my friend bought used for 3600.00 with 11k miles.. and we both agreed he got ripped off.. these cars today are on another level, but like the 92 excel the resale on cars is brutal..
This car feels like a 90s luxury brand concept car of what luxury cars would be 20 years later. And I love every bit of it.
nice copied comment from the doug review hahaha
I realy hate the SUV trend and i like Genesis focusing on sedans
Right??!??
Toyota too other companies are like we are just quitting sedens no one wants a suv

Awesome! How'd you go about it? Did you ask the dealer for loaners for sale?
Genesis's Design identity is fascinating

Awesome buy, reliability is a 10. Gorgeous vehicle
I just realized the grille and headlights together make the Genesis logo.
Whole Genesis Line is 🔥
This 2023 Genesis G80 sport looks amazing.
Terrific job with your content as always Ben.

IT'S SO....BEAUTIFUL 😍😍😍
2022 vs 2023 Genesis G80 Sport Prestige 3.5T model year differences, what's new in this 2023 model?. 🤔
That’s an absolutely GORGEOUS vehicle

Did you notice rattling in the interior when driving???
I prefer wood over so called carbon fiber trim. From the front grille, does the G80,,,does the G stand for Gatsby?
Would take this over the competition
Amazing cars 🎉

Good Video 😎
Best looks!!!
Ben - help! G80 or BMW 540?
Does a pallet of Q-tips come standard with this pkg? Those waffle wheels are going to be a PIA to clean. Super nice nonetheless.
Does the passenger seat have a massage feature?
Such a nice car! I don’t like the rims though :(
aww well we tried ..lol rims look good to me, incorporates the grill and seat stitching.
I don’t dislike them but the ones on the g70 look better to me

It's actually called, herringbone carbon fiber.
Interior looks so tight.
Interior lighting?

They should have put an analog clock where the hazard lightsare
Nice car❤️ thnx

Hideous wheels
Is it possible to change the speedometer reading to mp/h -> (km/h) reading?. 🤔
Nice car for certain yet 70k??? Why?
These cars are amazing, unfortunately the Hyundai service is so bad!!! They need to separate asap
Bill pierce 🎉honda reno nv has one 50 g used
I would never buy this car just based on the "wheel design" which looks very odd! Yikes!
i was into this car until i saw that the tachometer is backwards. Now I want to throw up.
Yea I only like sedans
I can’t stand the grille
ya like the Lexus grill ?
